"Sir, we suspect that there may be prohibited items in your suitcase. Please cooperate with our investigation."

Despite sensing a faint malice emanating from the security officer, Li Ang didn’t find it particularly strange. If there were indeed sothing inappropriate for flight in his suitcase, it would be normal for the security officer to harbor ill will towards him.

He patiently, along with Catina, opened the suitcase and started removing items one by one for the security officer to inspect.

But soon, he noticed sothing was amiss.

The pace at which today’s security officer was inspecting seed excessively slow. Every single item in the suitcase was turned inside out for a ticulous search, to check for any abnormalities.

"I think you should speed up your inspection, as it could affect our boarding ti,"

Catina said, frowning.

The neatly folded clothes were now a ss, and even the photography equipnt had been disassembled wherever possible for inspection.

Putting everything back the way it was would take a considerable amount of ti.

There weren’t many flights to that destination, and if they missed this one, they’d likely have to wait for the evening flight.

"I don’t need you to tell how to do my job, okay? I’m just making sure that everything here is safe."

The security officer replied with a sneer, his hands moving even slower than before.

"I will definitely complain about you, I assure you."

Catina stomped her foot in frustration, though she had no good solution.

Li Ang had already realized that sothing was amiss, and his first instinct was to send Tyler a text ssage detailing the situation.

The police had the ultimate authority in the airport, and since they were all police, Tyler would surely have more clout than he did.

But at the mont, he couldn’t figure out why he was being targeted like this. Objectively speaking, even if they delayed him enough to miss his flight, it seed like it would only waste so of his ti, and the consequences didn’t appear to be that severe.

Of course, for him, wasting ti was the most serious consequence of all.

"If you saw sothing unusual in the machine earlier, you should be focusing on that unusual item now instead of aimlessly rummaging around. I don’t believe an airport would have such a foolish inspection procedure."

Now aware of the officer’s ill intent, Li Ang’s tone beca less polite.

"I’ll stress it once more; I don’t need your guidance to finish my job."

The young white security officer stood up straight and retorted to Li Ang, his movents halting.

Facing the officer’s attitude, Li Ang actually lost his anger and smiled as he reminded:

"So actions have consequences that you must be willing to bear. I’d advise you to think carefully whether you can handle them or not."

The look in Li Ang’s eyes sent a chill down the security officer’s spine, as if he were being watched by a ferocious beast.

But recovering, he seed to have reached so goal and hardened up again:

"Are you threatening with that statent?"

He then imdiately waved to a nearby airport policeman:

"There’s a passenger here threatening , disrupting the security process. I think it’s necessary to take him to the holding room for further inspection."

Catina tried to clarify in a fluster that they ant no such thing, but Li Ang simply shook his head at her, signaling her to follow his lead.

Seeing Li Ang’s confident deanor, Catina also quickly cald down.

Li Ang knew that the officer’s goal was obviously more than just delaying him briefly; his behavior was aid at infuriating him as a prelude to his next move.

Even if Li Ang had remained silent just now, the officer would still have found an excuse, and it was clear that the airport policeman was in cahoots with him.

True enough, as soon as the policeman arrived, without asking them anything, he followed the security officer’s instructions and took them to the holding room.

On the way, Li Ang pondered who could be targeting him?

While he had no specific leads on the person at the mont, combining various factors, he could guess that it was likely closely related to the upcoming California race; otherwise, they wouldn’t have chosen the exact mont he was about to leave for the event to cause trouble.

But Li Ang was not flustered because Tyler had just ssaged him back.

He said he couldn’t co now, but not to worry, a heavy-hitter was nearby who would surely be able to solve the problems he was facing.
