The morning indoor equipnt training mostly focused on physical fitness and certain specialized training. To comprehensively improve technique, relying mainly on road cycling was essential.

At noon, they went to the cafeteria, where a professional nutritionist arranged their als every day to ensure everyone received adequate nutrition. Food portions were allocated based on body weight.

Li Ang glanced over and thought the food looked decent, but not particularly appetizing.

Steak, salmon, shrimp, nuts, asparagus, broccoli, cherry tomatoes, with pasta and whole wheat bread as the main carb sources.

Lacking oil, salt, sugar—those soulmates of flavor—it was really difficult to make the food taste good.

Li Ang noticed there was even a small scale in the main food area, and basically, every team mber would weigh their portion roughly when they took their carbs.

Being sowhat of a nutrition expert himself, Li Ang knew that for athletes, intake of sufficient carbohydrates was extrely important.

A high-protein, low-carb diet favoring at over carbs for weight loss could, for professional athletes like them, hamper performances and yield negative results.

During high-intensity training, muscles depended more on carbohydrates for energy, which were also essential for maintaining muscle endurance and neural functions.

Compared to proteins and fats, carbohydrates can synthesize energy much more efficiently for athletes’ needs.

The brain’s primary energy source is blood glucose, and the most direct way to raise blood glucose levels is through consuming carbohydrates.

No matter how much energy is stored in the muscles, when blood glucose levels drop, the nerves beco fatigued, the body feels tired, and once the nerves fatigue, the muscles do as well, so a stable blood sugar level is critical.

Compared to his teammates, Li Ang was less ticulous. For him, quantity was what mattered most; every bite he ate could provide him with [Breakthrough Points]. Wasn’t that better than their precision and calculations?

Because athletes generally have larger appetites, even the plates provided in the cafeteria were quite large, but he was holding two of them, each piled high with food. Just the amount he was carrying was almost two to three tis what other team mbers had.

After grabbing his food, Li Ang was about to find a place to sit when he saw Moira, the girl with the tanned skin he t at the start, waving at him.

"Hey, Li Ang, co sit over here."

Seeing Li Ang holding two plates of food, Moira couldn’t help but lift her head and laugh while saying to him:

"Is that food you grabbed for ? But I don’t think I can eat that much."

A question mark slowly ford in Li Ang’s mind. What’s the deal? Can’t she get her own food? And besides, didn’t you already have a al in front of you?

He thought to himself: I should’ve known better than to sit here.

"No, both these bowls are for ."

His answer sohow made the atmosphere a bit tense.

"Moira, I got these strawberries for you especially. If we wait any longer, there won’t be any left. You should try them."

Next to him, a familiar voice spoke. Li Ang looked up and realized it was Little Black Patrice.

With that, he more or less understood why she had such a bizarre assumption.

But it seed that Moira wasn’t too receptive; she frowned, glanced at Patrice, and replied:

"My food is already balanced. I don’t need more; it’ll disrupt my plan."

Little Black Patrice gave an awkward laugh, then got ready to sit, only to be stopped by Moira.

"This seat is taken."

"Oh... okay, I guess I can sit at the table next to you."

Watching this unfold, Li Ang couldn’t help but reflect. Little Black had truly joined the wrong server; here, he could only be the underdog. If this were in his ho country, with his status as an athlete, he could probably do just about anything, and girls might be fighting to feed him strawberries.

It seed he spoke partly to avoid the awkwardness, or perhaps out of jealousy because Li Ang was sitting opposite Moira, but he said to Li Ang in a tone of soone who had been there:

"New guy, you really should learn so knowledge. If you’re going through professional training, you can’t just eat whatever you want like before. Consuming so much in one al, no wonder your weight is so high."

That thought, in fact, was the prevailing one among those present. It just happened that he was the one who articulated it.

As cyclists, a greater body weight, although it might increase strength, generally ant reduced endurance. Moreover, climbing uphill sections would be particularly challenging.

Hence, their average weight was even less than 70kg.

Li Ang smiled and, looking at a plate of strawberries in front of him, said:

"You sure know how to pair your food, so are you going to eat those strawberries later?"

That question hit him where it hurt. It was clear to see that his breathing beca a bit heavier.

If he said the strawberries were part of his nutritional plan, that would an he wasn’t truly getting them for Moira.

So, he only could respond:

"I’ve calculated the exact amount of food I need to take in. Of course, I won’t let a montary craving take control over my diet."

"No worries, I’m not afraid, I have no plan."

As Li Ang spoke, he reached out and took the plate of strawberries in front of him.

He then added another jab for good asure.
