The ‘imaginary barrier’ is a wall in a sense. A thin mbrane naturally ford around every world within the Imaginary Tree. Its greatest characteristic was the ‘rejection’ of external visitors. Entering and leaving a world depends on how much a civilization’s technological prowess has reached. There are also the ways of Aeons that could easily breach an imaginary barrier—Akivili’s railway, Aha’s deception, Destruction’s forceful intrusion, and so on.
One thing that was certain is the imaginary barrier’s continued existence. It is akin to a layer of skin that regenerates over ti. A “world” cannot exist without it; lest they would suffer unwanted consequences.
What Kiana did to the solar system’s imaginary barrier was to turn it into diamond. She enhanced its tendency to reject outside influences. This enhancent was deeply tied to the tampering of the ti ratio between the solar system and the rest of the universe. Regarding this, Kiana was able to do it with the assistance of several eighth-grade Dao Treasures—talismans and a formation. The full power of the Cocoon was made accessible for her, coupled with the comprehensive support of immortal cultivation, brought them 2,500 years to spend with.
Unfortunately, things are not as simple as that. The enhancent granted by Kiana continuously faces erosion due to the Aeons’ influence. Nobody dared to make a move and tear it down, but THEY often put their sights onto it, causing deterioration. From the original 2,500 years, it whittled down to the current 1,400 years. It might even deteriorate faster.
Still, they were lucky. The resources amassed after Shi Tian’s random draws was enormous. He spent more than 1,100 years in Amphoreus, followed by his 300 years of coma back on the Moon. The number of draws totalled to 511,000. Materials for precious seventh-grade pills could be found en masse. Eighth-grade Dao Treasures—formations, talismans, pills, and artifacts—number in the dozens. They could use more of their power with the forbidden techniques.
The humanity within the solar system has the capital to contend against the hegemons of the universe!
“In accordance with this, we will gradually enter a state of war. It will start from the lowest level until the second highest level…”
Shi Tian knew that not everyone is their enemy outside. There are nurous factions who are relatively peaceful—the Interastral Peace Corporation, Xianzhou Alliance, Intellesia Guild, The Family, and so on. The ones they needed to be alert are the infamous ones like the Antimatter Legion, the crazy ones amongst Abundance’s disciples, and the Cremators who took the similarly ‘crazier’ way out of Rembrance.
Except for a few questions coming from Theresa and Fu Hua, nobody else interrupted Shi Tian’s explanation. Though he didn’t have as much experience as they did when it cos to macro-managent, he saw through the crux of the issues they raised.
After saying everything related to their overall plan, Shi Tian looked towards Vita. The latter gave him a smile, reflecting back an interested look.
“The other reason why I convened this eting is to deal with Elation’s influence that snuck inside.”
“Mffm..!”
The mont he said that, everyone heard a muffled sound coming from Vita. Senti sported a smug look, reveling in the fact that Aha got THEIR mouth sealed. It was Kiana’s handiwork. It never lasts for a long ti, but it suffices when it cos to ‘sealing’ Aha’s power temporarily.
“To reduce any unexpected variables, I have decided to seal Aha within the duration of eight hundred years.”
“..!”
A large and comical red exclamation mark appeared above Vita’s head. The mask on her waist shook intensely, wanting to escape from this place.
‘Too late. Who asked THEM to step inside this room?’
The eting room existed at the core of the Sect. It has its own eighth-grade Dao formation, Myriad Shifting Stars Axiom, that could defend, attack, and entrap at will. Add to that the sect-defending eighth-grade formation deployed outside, Aha is dood to be sealed.
“I will need to call upon everyone’s help…”
*****
I completely lost my advantage… in bed.
My capital to be confident was the ultimate-grade spirit root and my double high-grade Tao Bodies. No matter how much yang qi was extracted, I could recover in a blink.
Things changed with Kiana’s presence. She was one minor realm above . She also possessed an ultimate-grade spirit root. The Dao of Endless Void just so happens to be compatible with ‘absorbing’ myriad things. The Tuna’s charm is already high to begin with. It did not help that she tag-tead with Sirin.
That dual cultivation experience…
I would be lying if I didn’t enjoy it.
One night isn’t enough. It barely scratched our itch—one born out of centuries of parting. It is even worse in my case since I spent more than a thousand years in Amphoreus. I longed to see her vulnerability… and cuteness. The tis she couldn’t lift her head because of our consecutive dual cultivation sessions. I missed everything about her.
Unfortunately, we still have a lot of things to deal with. I called upon that eting to resolve them all. One is to prepare everyone for the reduced duration of Kiana’s imaginary barrier enhancent. The other is to seal with Aha, and if possible, lure out any other Aeon who might have sneaked inside the solar system.
I have a strong feeling it wasn’t just Aha. Both my intuition and hexagram spirit kept telling this. As for who it was, I haven’t confird it yet.
“Will they fall for this?”
Amidst the pitch black void, Kiana walked right by my side. Her footsteps left faint white ripples.
“They will.” I corrected myself. “I will make them fall for it.”
Baiting them out feels like a low-level move. Aha, for instance, intentionally showed THEMSELVES out of pure fun. It is more appropriate to pull the rug underneath them—to force them to reveal THEMSELVES.
“I’ll keep an eye out for them. It’s a fluke last ti!”
I didn’t say anything and rely smiled at her. Kiana failed to sense Aha’s intrusion back then. I didn’t bla it on her except for using it as a teasing material.
All that is important now is to clean our ho, enter seclusion, and reach the pinnacle of the Void Refinent Realm within five hundred years.
After that…
It will be a showdown.
