Her first thought after exiting seclusion was to check on the Wushi Dao Sect. Unlike the bureaucratic system of the Federation, the sect’s high-level positions don't change. Fu Hua is still one of the four Vice Sect Masters of the Wushi Dao Sect.
Her absence did not affect the sect’s operation. Over the long years, Peak Masters only needed to make major decisions. If there are attempts at insubordination, the Law Enforcent Hall led by the two Xuanyuans would take care of them. The sect’s atmosphere remained strict and orderly, helping it maintain the progressiveness it imposes upon its disciples. Any trace of corruption was detected by the Divination Peak in advance. Those who still succumbed to temptations were subjected to the punishnt of the Law Enforcent Hall.
Flutter-!
Her light feet stepped into the large hall’s entrance. Its floor was made entirely of granite-like materials comparable to the seventh-grade in toughness. A faint white sheen appeared on its surface the mont she stepped on it.
Like a ghost, she passed through every single sect official. Fu Hua made her way to the “office” where all high-level cultivators gather. The mont she opened the door, she found several people who had already been inside for quite so ti.
The eting office consisted of a long oval agarwood table. Interestingly, their seats differed greatly. Each has a design of their own. These chairs seed to have co alive in the next second, giving off an illusion of their owners’ personalities.
“Shifu.”
Ji and Hei Xuanyuan stood up from their seats and gave Fu Hua a formal bow. They cusped their right fist with their left hand. Fu Hua nodded in their direction before they lowered their hands. She soon arrived in front of her seat. Its wooden body held a deep crimson color. Fla-like patterns were engraved in its armrest and legs. Fu Hua sat down on it and waited for the others to arrive.
Aside from her and the two Xuanyuans, there was also Wendy and Anna. Everyone gathered here because of Shi Tian’s notice. His position as the Sect Master allowed him to override their jade slates with ergency notices. While the ss made by i and Queen i were handled properly, the “ergency drill” gave him the idea to call forth a eting. It also served to clarify a lot of things he couldn’t explain back in Amphoreus.
‘She shouldn’t have checked her jade slate…’
Senti’s “tantrums” changed Fu Hua’s thoughts of notifying her. She felt that leaving her alone for a while is a better choice than bringing her in this eting room while annoyed.
While she chatted with Senti, more people arrived in the room. It just so happened that everyone exited seclusion. The absence of Shi Tian, Kiana, and Sirin beca sowhat prominent. Most of the won inside never thought much of it… aside from the few shrewd ones.
“Married life is as such…”
“Rita?”
“Nothing.”
Rita looked at the oblivious Bianka who looked forward to sparring with Shi Tian. She has no idea he is currently sparring with her sister… in bed!
As if sensing her thoughts, Theresa’s gaze stuck behind her head. Rita faced her and gave her a mysterious smile.
‘What?!’
Theresa felt a bit shaken. She didn’t know what was on her good secretary’s mind. Even Amber doesn’t feel as mysterious as Rita! It speaks volus of her ticulous mind.
Her nervousness reached Hiko. The latter was confused at first, but after following her gaze that led to Rita, she understood the gist of what happened. Unlike Theresa, however, Hiko was more confident. She didn’t care whether others knew her attraction to Shi Tian. They are both mature and consenting adults. As long as it was handled well, Hiko has nothing else to say.
The Sect Master’s delay was longer than they expected, to the point Senti arrived first. A tinge of embarrassnt rushed to her brain when she saw so many people staring at her. She teleported to the empty seat beside Fu Hua. Her annoyance from earlier had cooled off.
“...Sorry.”
She uttered these words through their ntal connection. Fu Hua was slightly surprised when she heard it. She flashed a brief smile before returning to normal.
Shi Tian’s arrival was on cue. He didn’t co through the main door. The space in front of his seat, located at the head of the agarwood table, beca littered with white cracks. Monts later, transparent “glass” shards shattered into pieces.
The familiar figure walked from beyond the gaps. His deep purple hair had been cut to his shoulders. The white dao robe embroidered with bright blue silk complented his elegance and mysteriousness. Shi Tian’s changes after attaining the Path of Rembrance made him far above that of any Void Refinent Realm cultivators. His golden irises carried a dazzling light, scorching like the sun. One look of his could peer through one’s thoughts.
In contrast to his entrance, Kiana and Sirin took their seats quietly. Nothing much could be gleaned on the surface, but the ones familiar with them noticed that subtle ‘glow’ on their white skin.
“Tsk. How greedy…”
“Won’t you do the sa?”
“...”
One word from Veliona silenced Sin Mal. The latter cannot co with any rebuttals since she would do exactly just that!
“First of all, I would like to thank everyone for coming. My presence hasn’t been very active in the past five hundred years.”
He remained calm, sweeping through everyone with his gaze.
“There are two things that need to be discussed. One is the resurrection of the Previous Era civilization.” He explained. “It will serve as our first attempt at playing with the river of ti. So long as it succeeds, it will prove we could control ti to a certain extent.”
The issue of ‘reviving’ the Previous Era civilization was only known to the twenty-two of them. It was a “test” of sorts that would gouge out how much the “cost” would be in reviving people. Most importantly, Mobius and Vill-V are extrely precious to humanity. Granting them the ability to cultivate would make a lot of things convenient for them.
“Secondly, our upcoming clash with the universe outside.”
Shi Tian did not hesitate to drop a bombshell:
“The imaginary barrier would only last for eight hundred years at maximum.”
