Chapter 335: Chapter 253 Space Rift and Stele

Half a mont later, Zhao Sheng reached the edge of the white mist.

The white mist seed ordinary, but once Divine Sense probed into it, it was as if it was devoured, unable to send back even a shred of information.

He thought for a while before suddenly flashing to a recessed ice surface three miles away, concealing his breath and figure.

One day swiftly passed, and Zhao Sheng personally witnessed three Foundation Establishnt Cultivators arriving one after another, and plunging into the white mist without hesitation.

Seeing this, Zhao Sheng no longer hesitated. After preparing all sorts of defenses, he plunged headfirst into the mist.

As the world spun around him, the white fog dissipated, and Zhao Sheng suddenly found himself in front of a stone room that had collapsed for the most part, with chaos all around, and a wall strewn with rubble next to which wild grasses grew as tall as half a person.

...

In front and to the sides, a bit further away, there was actually a series of low hills.

The rolling hills were dotted with a few ruins, and at the end of his sight stood an imposing palace.

Looking up, there were vast expanses of dull-yellow earth and rock.

This place should be a super-large cave within Heavenly Pillar Mountain.

Such ancient ruins had appeared in Heavenly Pillar Mountain before, and they often signified trendous danger, as well as harboring unknown treasures.

Because such super-large caves could only be created within Heavenly Pillar Mountain by beings above the Nascent Soul level during the ancient tis.

Facing the unknown mysterious ruins, Zhao Sheng did not dare to fly carelessly, and instead chose to skim close to the ground, which was still quite fast.

He hadn’t gone far when Zhao Sheng suddenly discovered a huge pit not far in front of him, with a hundred zhang radius, surrounded by stark barrenness, not a blade of grass in sight—an unmistakable sign that it was not naturally ford.

Seeing this, his heart stirred, and he quickly stood at the edge of the pit, carefully surveying it below, a hint of surprise flickering across his face.

This deep pit was actually a very neat circular pit. The center was filled with a grey haze, so thick with ash that it was impossible to see clearly what lay beneath.

Zhao Sheng stared at the large pit for a while, his expression thoughtful.

Suddenly, he ford a hand seal with both hands, and a gust of wind, over ten zhang tall, ford out of thin air in front of him.

Zhao Sheng uttered the word “Go” and swept his sleeve, causing the fierce wind to sweep up the ash within and roar towards the center of the pit.

Wherever the wind passed, stones and dust were swept up. In a mont, it revealed the true face of the pit.

Beneath was all stone walls, with deep pits in the muted red of lava below it, containing four very regular, smooth grooves.

“This is… Ah!”

After a brief inspection, a startled expression crossed Zhao Sheng’s face.

Then, heedless of the danger, he flew up to a height of a dozen or so zhang, and the true nature of the giant pit ca fully into view—a hundred-zhang wide, incredibly lifelike gigantic Fist Seal.

“Could this be the Divine Skill of a High-level Body Cultivator? Truly terrifying to this extent!”

Zhao Sheng stood stunned for a long while before he took a deep breath, a heaviness settling in his heart.

Afterward, Zhao Sheng walked slowly around the Fist Seal pit without finding anything particular and stopped, looking up at the vicinity.

Hmm?

Zhao Sheng’s pupil contracted as he caught sight of a two-zhang-long “line” that flashed and disappeared into the air, three zhang away.

The “line” was so transient that even with Zhao Sheng’s Immortal Spirit Realm vision at its maximum ability to expand ti flow by twenty tis, he only managed to capture a faint trace.

Zhao Sheng was shocked. He had seen such phenona in ancient books before. That “line” could very well be a Space Rift from legend.

A Space Rift is a one-dinsional object, with only length and the concept of width and height is non-existent.

It is the sharpest thing in the world, Unbreakable, cutting through everything, to the extent that not even Divinity Transformation True Monarchs dare to touch it lightly.

“Why is there a Space Rift in the ruins? Could this place not be the Heavenly Pillar Cave, but a semi-independent Grotto Heaven split from Heavenly Pillar Mountain?”

As Zhao Sheng contemplated, he kept glancing around until he froze, staring ahead, his brow furrowed as his speed unconsciously slowed down.

After flying another hundred zhang, Zhao Sheng ca to a stop, looking at the half-space a few zhang away, where a curved and wrinkled “line” stood still suspended in the air.

Below the Space Rift on the ground lay two halves of a body; the corpse belonged to one person, but a large chunk of the chest and abdon was conspicuously missing.

“A semi-permanent Space-ti Rift? You’ve got to be joking!”

He couldn’t help but purse his lips and swallow.

This was a nearly crescent-shaped “line” about two zhang long.

It was suspended silently in the air, without a whisper of Spiritual Energy fluctuation, and not even Divine Sense could probe it.

Zhao Sheng scrutinized the Space Rift carefully, surprise flashing in his eyes.

“…Let witness the might of the Space Rift,” Zhao Sheng muttered to himself, suddenly raising his arm and gently slashing towards the space in front of him.

A swath of Geng tal Sword Qi shot out from the palm in an instant, flying above the “line” and then fiercely slashing downward.

All was silent.

Zhao Sheng’s pupils contracted as he saw the Geng tal Sword Qi vanish the mont it touched the Space Rift, as if consud by the void.

However, the “line” still hung silently in the air, unchanged.

Seeing this, Zhao Sheng was inwardly alard, realizing the rumors of the Space Rift devouring all were true.

However, a Space Rift as conspicuous as this one was quite easy to avoid.
