If the war was going to happen, which indeed was, Pablo would like it to look like hell.
He told the Admiral to gather everything she could but the Woman didn’t like it. She was the Admiral. She should order. She was the man here.
Pablo had ordered her out of instinct as no matter what the situation was, he always found himself being at the top of the chain. He was under no one.
But the Admiral won’t accept it.
"You are not in charge anymore, Pablo. I shall make the plans. You all should listen to . This won’t be another infiltration. This is war. Let handle it. You just follow my orders."
Pablo turned to his side, looking straight at Harlia.
"I know this is War, Admiral. But that new King, Malvador, called the Ace of this kingdom. I have all the rights to assign roles. I have all the right to fight this war without following your orders."
Harlia scoffed. "So that’s what it is? Your ego got inflated. Just because that kid called you the ace, you got ahead of yourself. Don’t forget, Pablo. The only reason he called you the ace is because..."
Harlia leaned her head towards Pablo.
"He hasn’t seen yet."
At that, Pablo simply...
"Heh."
Scoffed.
And the soldiers were amazed at the patience of the two figures. None of them even touched the other and yet, sparks were flying off.
Harlia frowned at Pablo’s scoff.
Pablo remained stern even with Harlia peering at the skin of his face.
"My ego isn’t a balloon that can be inflated by soone else, Admiral. You seem to think that you know about but you have no idea what kind of man I am. No one here in this world has any idea what kind of monsters I have tad inside my head just to live among these people like a sophisticated individual. If I let go of all my reigns, if I let go of all my sanity, if I, just for a second, hear and agree to the voices inside my head..."
Pablo leaned his head further as well, peering right inside Harlia’s soul.
"We would have sothing many tis more sinister than a Demon in our hands."
Harlia didn’t back off.
"Don’t test my patience, Pablo. Just because I didn’t get a chance to kill a Demon doesn’t an that I can’t do it. Stay in your limits and act like the subordinate you are. Respect the hierarchy and you will see how I kill one more King that beca too big for his boots."
The soldiers gulped at the scene. The air beca heavy around the two juggernauts and no one dared to speak anything.
"You think you can kill that man, Admiral?" Pablo asked, smiling.
"I can kill anyone, Marshal. Even you."
Pablo shook his head. "You can’t do shit to him. And you definitely can’t do anything to either."
Harlia squinted her eyes. "Why?"
"That man walked into the castle of the king, killed the King, then killed every important person present in the royal court of the king, then killed all the servants, won, kids, unborn kids. You think you can kill a man like that?"
Pablo paused and moved away from Harlia.
Then before she could say sothing, Pablo carried on.
"That man didn’t stress about his feat enough. He stated what he did as lightly as if he killed so flies while watching the stars. But tell this, after all these years why didn’t sothing like this happen? In this power hungry world why the hell the King of the Vampires never changed?"
Pablo looked at all the soldiers.
"The answer is simple. The Vampire King killed everyone when they ca to kill him. Many people must have tried to get his crown, many fools must have tried to sit on his throne. But no one succeeded as the vampire king killed them all.
A man who could rule over blood hungry vampires for more than a hundred years can not be a simple man. He can not be a fucking prey that even a chicken could munch on. That man is–was, a monster through and through for god’s sake!"
Pablo’s voice picked up volu and everyone also agreed with him.
"Now imagine that eighteen year old man. Now imagine the sheer courage of that man who walked to the castle of such a monster and demanded his death right in front of him. And then he killed him as well. And as a bonus, he killed his whole bloodline. Do you understand that? He killed the entire bloodline of the king who had ruled over a kingdom for a century!
A man like him has to have the sickest livelihood. Even before he got his Ego, I am sure killed. He killed and killed. The King and his family wasn’t his first kill. He must have killed before. And his life made him worthy enough to have such a strong ego that could even topple the throne, the hierarchy, the economy of kingdoms alone.
If the Vampire King was the monster than the man who killed him is worse than a monster. He is near the level of Pablo Castillo. And you think you can kill a man like that, Admiral? You think you can use your strategies, your warplan, your experience to kill a man who beca the King just because he was in the mood for it? The answer is no.
You can’t do a damn thing to that man. Not you, not the high dukes, not the King. No one can do anything about him. To beat him, to crush him, your only choice is .
Give the go, give all his responsibility, give the death warrant of that man and I’ll let loose. My mask of sanity had already beco thin. I haven’t got to see the mirror. I haven’t got to see the wolves inside for a long ti. Give the green light, Admiral. Give the go and I’ll show you..."
Pablo stared at Harlia with his red eyes and the woman could swear she heard the howls inside them.
"Why I shouldn’t be allowed to breathe in the sa land as other people."
