He was really in a hurry. He had put in so much effort to finally reach this day, to bring Luo Yan out of that place.

Yet now, they were about to be taken back.

And he was very clear: Rousi’s strength had been vast before; she might have been able to protect Luo Yan.

But now, with Rousi’s power greatly diminished, and not able to recover in a short ti, the people of Yakuza wouldn’t miss this opportunity—they probably wouldn’t even give her a decent treatnt.

Even if Rousi managed to hold onto the military order and bring Luo Yan back, the odds were heavily against them.

"Do you think that by taking Luo Yan back, they won’t have any reason to lay their hands on you?"

"They might call you an elder out of respect, but without it, they’ll let you be buried!"

"Now that you’ve gotten so thin, going back is a death sentence. Who can you protect!"

Rousi’s eyes reddened: "It’s all because of you, you bastard, that I’m reduced to this!"

"I can recover in a day. Who dares to touch !"

Gao Xin burst into a fury: "I dare!"

In a mont, he crossed a threshold, reaching the Sub-Tiger Level.

And there he was, with just a head, one arm, and half a chest, springing up from the ground like lightning, the Demon Blade furiously slashing!

Rousi’s bone blades also grew frenetically, forming a huge drill, eting the assault decisively.

"Boom!"

Rousi’s huge drill shattered, and Gao Xin was sent flying backward, plowing tens of ters into the ground with his Demon Blade.

Then he rose again, dripping blood, standing tall. He looked like a demon gone mad, supporting himself on his single arm, charging forward with thuds against the ground.

"Enough! Stop it, you!"

Luo Yan roared, stretching out his hand to halt Gao Xin: "Calm down!"

"It’s my own choice to go back. At worst, I’ll just run for Oiran in five days."

"You can’t die, have you forgotten?"

"When you were a ’glass person’ before, I believed in you, let alone now."

His words were cryptic, but Gao Xin understood them perfectly.

Luo Yan had once been taken by Rousi, and all hopes lay in Gao Xin then; he said emphatically that Gao Xin couldn’t die.

Now, after so much difficulty, Gao Xin had risen to prominence and brought him out, yet they were close to failing.

How weak had Gao Xin been when he was a ’glass person’? They had co so far, almost succeeding... and now he had even stepped into the Tiger level?

Luo Yan said he could believe in Gao Xin once more, under one condition—he couldn’t die.

By ntioning the day of Oiran election in five days, he was reminding Gao Xin that there was still one more chance.

In any case, Gao Xin was going to save Dongfang Yi then, wasn’t he? It wouldn’t be that much more to save one more person—him.

Their gazes t, Gao Xin understood everything, but he was extrely reluctant in his heart.

Luo Yan said to Rousi: "Let’s go, Rousi, I prefer you when you’re chubby."

"Like this, you make feel insecure. Don’t waste ti anymore, let’s hurry back for a big al, I’ll join you."

Hearing these words, the redness in Rousi’s eyes cleared, and with a grin, she said: "You’re right, I need a big al!"

Saying that, she shed her wing-like battle armor, eating all of her external skeleton first.

One saw that her body was a blurry ss of blood and flesh, a great deal of her fat had burnt away, looking like a skinned blood corpse at that mont.

The five stages of over-frequency had nearly drained her.

However, she still had three to four hundred kilograms of weight left, and soon she stimulated her active fat again, repairing her surface.

Her skin beca smooth and fair, as tender as a newborn baby, and her shape returned to normal.

Four hundred kilograms for a Tiger Level was not fat at all.

At that mont, she even looked slender with thin arms and legs, a slim waist, and her features beca beautiful.

This surprised Luo Yan; he hadn’t expected that Rousi would actually be a beauty when thin.

Since Rousi’s clothes were in tatters, she casually left so external skeleton as if they were scales to cover her private areas.

Then she shouted: "Little Luo Yan, let’s go ho to eat. I’m going to eat up all the at at ho!"

She was as joyful as a little girl, completely losing her fierce deanor from before, and she bounced away with Luo Yan in her arms.

Luo Yan didn’t resist at all, and just like a doll, was clutched in the girl’s embrace... departing into the distance.

Gao Xin watched on with eyes wide open, his feeling of discontent intense to the extre.

How could this be!

After struggling so hard, everything had reset—Luo Yan was taken by Rousi again.

And he had been saved by Luo Yan for the third ti.

"Damn it!"

Gao Xin was panting heavily, feeling a great sense of defeat internally. As his strength drained away, he suddenly felt like he couldn’t breathe.

Aoooo, a pack of wolves leaped down from the hillside.

Su Lei was still riding one as he ran up to Gao Xin, "Hang in there, bro. Stay strong."

Gao Xin had almost fallen asleep but was jolted awake at the sight of Su Lei.

He couldn’t rest yet, still not out of danger.

The sly viper, still nearby, would surely lead his n in pursuit once Rousi finished his task.

His current condition was dire; even a True Tiger would die from such injuries, yet he was alive purely by force of Heart Power.

Fortunately, his brain remained intact.

But this kind of reliance on Heart Power was incredibly draining and made it difficult to focus his mind on other intense tasks. If this continued, his sanity would lt away, succumbing to his inner demons.

The best course of action was to recover his body’s strength as soon as possible, and even continue to grow stronger.

Gao Xin glanced at the retreating figures of Rousi and Luo Yan. In five days, it would be Luo Yan’s day to compete for the title of Oiran.

What bullshit Oiran parade; it might as well be a funeral procession.

Within five days, he must return to Yamaguchi Village.

Gao Xin composed himself, overcoming his frustration, and his eyes lit up again with fighting spirit.

He said calmly, "Su Lei, help onto the wolf."

"Let’s go!"

Gao Xin took command of the wolf pack, Su Lei helped him onto the wolf, picked up Matsuda’s bow, and the two imdiately went up the mountain to regroup with the others.

Cassandra was still trapped amidst a crowd of wolves.

Even though they were no longer attacking her, too much had happened and no one paid her any mind. At this mont, Cassandra and Taylor stood among the wolves, not daring to make any sudden moves.

Upon seeing Gao Xin’s battered body carried over on the back of a wolf, Cassandra’s expression tightened...

Such terrifying wounds; even a True Tiger couldn’t survive, could it? But here was Gao Xin, still active and even commanding the wolf pack with eyes as fierce as fire, almost inhuman.

Then Gao Xin hoarsely demanded, "Give at!"

Everyone was taken aback, "Where do you think you’re going to put it?"

Gao Xin was also stunned; apart from his brain, he only had half a lung left.

All other viscera had been obliterated. Although his digestive microbiota was still intact, he no longer had functional organs to absorb nutrients.

At minimum, he needed to use the effects of a regenerative agent to regrow a heart and digestive system.

Without these things, his recovery would rely entirely on the remaining substances in his battered body.

"No, I don’t need a heart... I have a spare heart..."

Gao Xin imdiately had Su Lei open the bundle, and Su Lei quickly took out a box.

Inside were the collected hearts, all assimilated by Gao Xin. Besides those transplanted into his people and so wolves, he had kept ten as spares for himself.

He imdiately activated his Neural Tentacles, wrapped around one heart, and stuffed it into his shattered chest cavity.

As long as he had the Neural Tentacles module, he could perform heart transplants with his bare hands. This ability was extrely effective in organ transplantation, able to connect flesh and ridians.

This was a skill unknown to the others; Gao Xin had to transplant the organ into himself.

As Gao Xin struggled with the procedure, the wolf pack grew restless, causing his face to change.

Imdiately afterward, Liu Xu growled, "Soone’s coming up the mountain, a lot of black hands..."

Gao Xin scoffed, knowing it must be the viper, possibly with more supporting powerhouses.

In his current condition, he was not up for another fight with the viper, not even with three hundred wolves at his back against four hundred black hands.

"Withdraw quickly, to Lin’s Village..."

"Su Lei, I can’t be distracted. Take command of the wolves and lead the way."

"Alright!"

With that said, Gao Xin lay on the wolf’s back, focusing entirely on transplanting the heart, while simultaneously stimulating his body to nd his missing organs as best it could.

Su Lei coordinated the wolf pack, leading everyone deeper into the mountainous area to evacuate.

Cassandra, too, saw the scene unfolding below the mountain, her face turning pale. Night had already fallen, but she could still see people swarming the hillsides as they closed in.

In the darkness, figures lood, converging from all directions.

The Yakuza’s large-scale intrusion into the mountains ant they left none alive, even dogs that crossed their path would receive a blow or two.

Cassandra was about to lead the won away, but when she turned back, she saw Su Lei also looking at her.

Su Lei averted his gaze and said, "Look... the Yakuza are scouring the hills. No one can hide."

"Why don’t you co with us? We are heading to Lin’s Village."

Cassandra frowned, bearing the safety of the won’s group on her shoulders. She wasn’t keen on trusting or getting involved in these people’s war.

But she knew all too well the nature of the Yakuza; with so many black hands combing the mountains, she could not possibly remain unscathed. Compared to that, this group was opposing the Yakuza, and Su Lei seed quite honest, even awakening Wild Communication on the spur of the mont to save her.

Cassandra nodded then and there, leading the won’s group to follow the others and leave.
