At this mont, a voice suddenly ca from far away. It was far away one second but then it was right next to them in the next.
It was Kaizers bodyguard, Derek that had just arrived.
Actually, he had arrived a long ti ago, he just hadnt revealed his presence and had instead hidden himself within the crowd.
After all he was Prince Kaizers personal bodyguard, no matter what happened he could never be too far away from his master. At most he would be a few ters away.
If he ever let himself be more than a few ters away, then it would be considered a neglect of duty on his part. And it would incur severe consequences if his employers (Kaizers parents) ever found out such.
Even while they had been searching for Luna he hadnt been very far from Kaizer.
Earlier he had seen everything that had happened and he knew that Prince Kaizer would definitely not let Drake go, he also knew that Kaizer would not be able to act out his ploy of impulsively attacking and killing Drake if he was there beside him. Otherwise if Drake were to die and an investigation were to be carried out he would be blad for not stopping Kaizer from attacking.
So he had hidden himself from sight in the crowd and watched. When he saw how Drake provoked Kaizer he sneered knowing that Drake had just given Kaizer an excuse, he knew what would be next. And true to his expectations Kaizer had indeed attacked Drake, he had even used a full power strike.
What he had not expected however was that Drake not only did not show any signs of attempting to evade, but he had instead stood still and let the attack hit him head on, he didnt even put up any defense.
At that ti he had thought Drake was crazy. When he saw Kaizers attack landed on its target, he thought it was over.
But then when Drakes eyes flashed brightly with a strange light, he had an ominous feeling.
The next mont, the golden beam that had just struck Drake flew right out of his chest and back at Kaizer. The sight stunned him.
It took him an extra second for his mind to completely process what he had just seen.
But it finally registered; Drake had actually reflected the attack! A 1 star mage had actually reflected the full power attack of a 4 star mage.
It wasnt strange that Drake had the ability to reflect magic power attacks. Even though it was a rare ability, it wasnt impossible to find soone with a reflecting ability if one were to look carefully. What was strange was the fact that he actually reflected the attack of a 4 star mage.
It wasnt the first ti that an opponents attack was reflected, he had even seen a few such cases himself. It was just that mages with the reflection ability all had one thing in common, there was a limit to how powerful the level of an attack that they could reflect was.
If the opponent was on a higher level than themselves, they would quickly be overpowered and the attempt to reflect the opponents attack would fail.
Yet, Drake had just broken all the rules governing this power, he had reflected an attack from a person whose battle power was over a thousand tis his own.
This should have been impossible.
This kid could reflect an attack that powerful with only his weak strength. For soone with such imnse potential, every family and organization would do their bet to recruit them. If they cant they would at least try to be friendly with such people. But we have already beco enemies with the kid. Right now forget joining our familys folds, he will definitely take us as enemies! That leaves us only one option. Derek thought as he saw Prince Kaizers suffering. He took a deep breath and his eyes hardened I cant let him grow or he will b a threat to the family, he must die!
He turned back to Drake. How dare you attack my familys young master?!
Attack your young master? I think we all know who it was that attacked who, I just reflected his attack back at him, it was self defense. Besides, do you think an attack from a re 1 star mage could hurt a 4 star mage? Drake retorted bluntly.
If these guys wanted to cry wolf after attacking him, he wouldnt be nice to them.
They had already lost their chance to do anything to him after that first exchange. it was forbidden for mages to fight in public places. The city guards should already be on their way here. He thought.
Arrogant fool! A re 1 star mage is bold enough to talk to like that? Is that how you talk to your superiors?
Drakes gaze instantly sharpened at this instant. This fucker dared to use being superiors into this to suppress him? Fine then, he wouldnt show any rcy.
Drake really wanted to rush forward and duke it out with this guy, but his body wouldnt move. His muscles, bones and nerves all scread in protest. He knew if he dared to force it he would probably only end up on his face after one step, so he changed his plan to a different approach.

Drakes eyes instantly turned bloodshot, Now hes dragging my parents into this? Unforgivable! After a few seconds of circulating his magic power throughout his body, he had finally regained a little bit of control over his limbs.
He initially wanted to delay until he could properly move his body, but now that Derek was talking trash about his parents he threw all sense out and a combat knife appeared in his hands as he prepared to take his opponent down with him.
Courting death! Derek sneered, his right arm turned silvery like steel and he threw a punch at Drake.
He would end this in one blow before the city guards arrived.

Derek took a step back while clenching his fist.
He had successfully landed his punch, but he had not hit what he wanted to. Instead there was a 5 ter tall and wide wall ford from rock in front of him it stood there glowing with an earthen yellow light.
Dereks face instantly changed, and he roared. Who?!
Have you forgotten the rules? It is forbidden for mages to fight in public places. A voice sounded and a man dressed in a Black cloak stepped out of the crowd.
Nobody could see his face but he sounded middle aged
Dereks eyes narrowed at the sight of the newcor Are you the one that just blocked my attack?

Then fuck off! Derek growled and threw another punch at the earth wall.
If the newcor was part of the city guard then he would have to stop imdiately as continuing further would an he was insulting the city guards, which at going against Alpha academy and offending the Tribunal that stood behind them.

This ti he used even greater strength in his punch, the impact was so terrifying it caused a terrifying shock wave visible to the eye that spread in all directions.
The crowd that had been watching were instantly frightened and hastily tried to retreat they could feel that if that terrifying shock wave reached them, they would definitely be heavily injured if not dead.
No one wanted to end up as collateral damage thanks to mages fighting, unfortunately, they could not possibly out run that wave. Hell even a 3 star mage couldnt out run that shock wave and a 2 star mage wouldnt get away unscathed if he was hit by it.

The middle aged man raised his hand and snapped his fingers twice and earthen yellow magic energy rushed out from his feet into the ground.
Suddenly, earth walls rose from the ground surrounding the whole space around the battlefield. Earthen walls also sprung up from the ground and ford a do surrounding both Drake and Luna.
When the shockwaves ran into the earthen walls they were stopped and completely snuffed out of existence, protecting Drake, Luna and the audience.
After a few seconds the earthen walls returned to the ground and it was as though nothing had ever happened. The ground was still even as if nothing had and both sides of Drake, Luna and Derek were revealed.
The only difference was that Derek had retreated a few steps back and Drake was bleeding from his eyes.
