Chapter 272 - The Legion Exclusive Subdivision
Xiu i was surprised to see Lu Chen waiting for her as soon as her plane landed in the airport. She was swept with overwhelming happiness as soon she saw his figure.
Clad in a royal blue button down top and slightly loose jeans, he stood there like a towering tree with his tall height amongst the crowd of people waiting in the arrival area. His hair swept up with wax and his hands inside his pockets, with his back straight, his eyes was looking forward towards her directions. So as soon as she exited the door, the two were able to see each other swiftly.
Lu Chen ignored the looks that the people was throwing at him, similarly, Xiu i couldn’t be bothered by the people who seed to already recognize them and pulled out their phones to take a picture.
It was quite weird really. They were simply a high-profile business people but sohow they were like a star once they starts to get recognized by people.
With her baggage in tow, she excitedly ran towards her husband. Lu Chen also took a step forward and opened his arms perfectly catching her in a hug. She buried herself in his c.h.e.s.t and inhaled deeply his familiar scent while the man dropped a kiss on her hair and stroked her back.
"Don’t run." He whispered in her ears. Xiu i giggled at his reminder and knew that what he was talking about. She didn’t say anything and simply nodded her head a little as she hugged him by his neck.
Lu Chen lowered his head and cupped her face to kiss her on the cheek. "I’ll co to you no matter what, so just stand there and wait for to co."
She paused for a second before a smile crept up on her lips. Unfazed by the gazes surrounding them, the two stayed like that for an entire minute before walking away.
Lu Chen took her baggage with his other hand while the other intertwined with hers tightly. Xiu i strangely felt giddy with his simple act of picking her up from the airport.
She looked at her husband through the corner of her eyes and felt weirdly attracted to him at the mont. For so reason, it was like there was so kind of filter in her eyes that made her husband mysteriously so enchanting in her sight.
Was it because of her moodswings that was strangely getting weirder and weirder by the day?
While Xiu i was too engrossed in her thoughts, she failed to notice Lu Chen’s subtle movents the mont she appeared in the arrival area.
With Albert’s appearance before Xiu i made Lu Chen anxious. Added to what Xiu Min ssaged to him yesterday, he got more worried about his family’s safety.
When the car didn’t turn to the right direction, Xiu i imdiately noticed it and was surprised. She turned to look at the person driving on her left and asked.
"Aren’t we going to go ho?"
"We are." He replied while c.a.r.e.s.sing her hand with thumb.
Her frows furrowed. "But this isn’t the way to our house."
The car halted temporarily because of the red light. Lu Chen looked directly into his wife’s inquiring gaze and spoke, "We moved last night."

She blinked and looked at him puzzledly.
Why does he make it sound so simple as if he was simply changing from a small bowl to a big bowl?
Still, she continued to probe about this sudden decision. She wasn’t even inford of it yesterday that they were planning to move. Xiu i felt irritated just by thinking about it but she didn’t change her expression.
"Why are we suddenly moving? And so fast?"
They even talked over the phone the other day and he didn’t ntion about moving at all.
Lu Chen’s focus returned in front as he continued driving while his other hand played with her hand. He didn’t hide the true reason to her and explained.
"We’re moving to a more secured place where no one could easily trespass into."
Xiu i.thought for a mont and realized that he was probably talking about the photos that Albert gave her. Her photo there was taken when she got ho aning that he had soone monitoring them from their house.
But... will Albert really not find them again if they move to a different place?
"You’ll understand once we get there."

An hour later, Xiu i almost couldn’t believe her eyes.
Her eyes wide open like saucers the mont their car entered... uh... so kind of forest or sothing?
Aside from the one way cent road in front of them, Xiu i almost thought that Lu Chen was abducting her to have a vacation in the middle of a forest.
Tall trees, vines hanging on the branches and full of greeneries filled her eyes. When she rolled down the windows, she was overwheld by the scent of soil and fresh air. She could faintly hear the sound of birds from afar even. It was very similar to the nature sounds that she liked listening to sotis when she couldn’t sleep before.
It was also sohow similar to the forest Lu Chen and Lu Qiang brought her to before. Uh, right. That was more like a zoo rather than a forest, actually.
She looked at her husband again with a questioning look but he simply smiled and continued driving forward. His actions were simply telling her that he won’t open his mouth even if she ask him so Xiu i patiently waited for them to arrive in their ’new’ ho.
A few minutes later, Xiu i was stunned for the second ti.
What the hell? How co the inside looks so kind of exclusive subdivision or sothing?!
It even has so big gates. She almost thought it was almost as grand as they have at her maternal ho.
The walls were made of thick concrete, proudly giving her the impression of how sturdy it was even if there’s an earthquake. The car stopped in front of the gates, and Xiu i jumped when she suddenly heard an AI voice pop out from nowhere.
"Scanning...... Car Identification ID L89G1087. Driver, Lu Chen H19847. Passenger, Xiu i H19848. Confird Permissions."
As soon as the voice finished, the two tal gates slid open. Lu Chen drove forward again and there she was shown an amazing view of villas and unfamiliar buildings. The outside was too intimidating but the inside gives off a very similar feeling of an exclusive subdivision for the elite families. It was very similar to the Xiu Mansion of her grandparents.
It was a short and smooth drive for the rest of the way. They stopped in front of a villa and Xiu i was genuinely attracted with the surrounding view at the front garden.
At the mont, she was very overwheld with everything that she took a step back and grabbed Lu Chen’s hands to ask for answers.
"Where are we?" She didn’t look at him while asking him that. She was like a kid who was twisting her neck to commit to mory the grandiose surroundings in front of her.
Lu Chen had soone drive off the car to the garage. He watched his wife’s eyes sparkle in curiosity as she road her eyes around the new place.
"This is our new ho."
"Here?"
Is he serious?
That too futuristic gate security and this big villa is their new place? Is he deceiving her or sothing?
Lu Chen pulled her into a nearby garden bench, sat down and pulled his wife to sit on his l.a.p. He held her waist firmly while stroking her back with his fingers. Xiu i didn’t seem to notice yet that Lu Chen was secretly eating her tofu because she was still distracted with the new place.
"What is this place?" Xiu i questioned.
There was a small smile on Lu Chen’s lips as he raised his hand to brush her hair.
"This is a small area that my master built back when he was still alive."
His master?
"Initially, he planned to make it as his retirent place but since there’s still so much space left unused, it also beca the living area of the other organization mbers when they’re not staying in the headquarters. Well, mostly who can live here are those who are the top 20 assassin mbers."
