Ling Chuxia bought back many souvenirs from Provence. She carefully prepared the gift specifically for Mrs. Shi, placed it in a bag, stood up, walked to the wardrobe, opened it, and after evaluating her clothes, she took out two outfits. Holding one in her left hand and the other in her right, she turned to face Shi Che, "Che, which outfit do you think I should wear tomorrow?"

Shi Che was leaning against the headboard with a laptop on his knees, looking at so data reports. He glanced at her nonchalantly and said casually, "The one on the right."

"The right side?"

Ling Chuxia looked at the dress in her right hand and frowned, "But Madam doesn’t really like this color, she might think it’s too flashy."

"Really? Then wear the one on the left," Shi Che said, without even lifting his head, speaking lazily.

Ling Chuxia then looked at the dress in her left hand but still wasn’t satisfied, "The color is fine, but the style isn’t what Madam likes."

Ling Chuxia looked left, then right, her indecision clearly troubling her as her brows furrowed tightly. She looked up again to consult Shi Che, only to realize he had not been looking at her all along. Her hand involuntarily clenched, and, with a surge of anger, she stord over to him and tossed both dresses in front of his laptop, slightly reproachful, "Che, I’m so nervous, and yet you can still work so calmly!"

The dresses she dropped imdiately covered his computer screen. Shi Che slightly lifted his eyes to look at Chuxia’s angry face and couldn’t help but curve his lips into a smile. He moved the laptop from his knees, stretched out his arm, and pulled Chuxia into his embrace,

enveloping her in his arms, his voice low and tinged with a hint of laughter, "Chuxia, it really doesn’t matter what you wear. You should wear what you like. Mom isn’t being your mother-in-law for the first ti, why be so nervous?"

His words were light, but how could the first ti be compared to this ti? The first ti she was purely trying to please, devoid of any personal feelings, but this ti, she really wanted Mrs. Shi to like her from the heart, or at least have so impression of her.

Moreover, she couldn’t get pregnant, which made her feel sowhat insecure and lacking in confidence.

"Of course I’m nervous, it’s different!" Ling Chuxia muttered, glaring at Shi Che with growing dissatisfaction.

"It is different." Shi Che’s hand caressed her forehead, hooking the hairs beside her ear behind it, and he smiled, "Because this ti, you have ."

He was her most solid support.

Ling Chuxia still harbored so resentnt, but hearing Shi Che’s words, her anger seed to dissolve sowhat, yet she still glared irritably at him, "You’re all sweet talk."

"Mmm, not just talk, I can act too," Shi Che replied very smoothly, then suddenly tightened his arm, causing Chuxia to cry out in surprise as she was suddenly pressed down onto the bed, with Shi Che’s tall and strong body covering her, sealing her lips with a deep kiss.

The eting with Mrs. Shi was scheduled for noon, but Ling Chuxia still got up early in the morning, carefully did her makeup, styled her hair, and got dressed neatly, checking her appearance in the full-length mirror repeatedly, fearful that there was sothing not perfect about her look.
