Shi Che wanted Ling Chuxia to continue resting at ho, but Ling Chuxia insisted on going to work. Unable to convince her otherwise, he reluctantly got up to wash and dress, ready to take her to work.

Shi Che’s expression darkened. It was one thing for Ling Chuxia to be annoyed with him and not allow him to appear before, but now that they had reconciled, she still refused to let him show up openly.

Hearing this, Ling Chuxia realized he might have misunderstood her. She didn’t want Shi Che to accompany her to the entrance because she worried soone might recognize him, which would surely stir up rumors at the company. She simply wanted to keep a low profile.
Turning back to look at Shi Che’s somber face, she couldn’t help but laugh. Then, she raised both hands to cup his face, smiling, "It’s not that I’m embarrassed, it’s too... much of a show-off. I’m afraid to let everyone see."
After a mont’s thought, Ling Chuxia added, "In case soone tries to steal you."
Although Shi Che knew that Ling Chuxia’s words weren’t entirely true, they still pleased him greatly. He couldn’t help but pinch her nose, "Fine, I’ll let you off this ti."
Ling Chuxia smiled, "Then I’ll go to work."
Shi Che, however, still hadn’t released her hand. Instead, he spoke lightly, "Didn’t you forget sothing?"
Ling Chuxia blinked her large eyes in confusion. Had she forgotten anything? She quickly looked around, but her cellphone, wallet, and keys were all in her bag. She hadn’t left anything behind.
Seeing her looking all over, Shi Che knitted his brows, his long fingers directly lifting her chin. He leaned closer and his lips claid hers.
Montarily, they parted.
Shi Che’s low voice was filled with lazy satisfaction, "You forgot this!"
Ling Chuxia’s cheeks tinged pink, and her long eyelashes fluttered, irresistibly inviting another kiss. But before Shi Che could move, Ling Chuxia leaned in, delivering a peck right on his lips, quick and light, "That’s for you."
Shi Che was montarily stunned, then looked at her intently, his voice filled with a light sigh, "What am I to do? I don’t want to let you go to work."
"Not on your life!"
Ling Chuxia stuck her tongue out at him and quickly pushed open the car door. Before he could react, she had already dashed off, leaving Shi Che in the car, chuckling to himself.
Bai Yixuan had been unable to sleep the entire last night, and as a result, he got up a bit late. Rushing to drive to the company, his pace slowed down when he was just one intersection away from the office.
