Shi Che, hearing that cry of surprise, didn’t even know what had happened before his body reflexively got up. He was there to catch Ling Chuxia just as she was about to fall, his movents incredibly agile.

When Ling Chuxia was just about to rejoice that she hadn’t fallen down hard, her gaze was instantly captured by Shi Che’s right foot.

Because... the right foot he couldn’t even walk on yesterday was now firmly planted on the ground, and he had just rushed over so quickly.

How could a foot that nearly fell from taking a single step move so swiftly?

After steadying Ling Chuxia, Shi Che breathed a slight sigh of relief, looking up at Ling Chuxia with the intent of saying sothing, only to find her eyes fixed steadily on his right foot.

Shi Che’s breathing hitched slightly. In his fear that Ling Chuxia might fall, he had forgotten to disguise his foot injury. In an instant, countless changes flickered in his eyes. In the next second, he abruptly lifted his right foot, a mask of pain surfacing on his handso face. What had been sturdy just monts ago, abruptly collapsed back onto the bed.

Ling Chuxia slowly turned to look at him, her lips curling in a mocking smirk, her voice faint, "Shi Che, your right foot is actually fine now, isn’t it?"

"How could that be? Can’t you see I’m still in pain?" Shi Che said, the expression of agony intensifying on his face, his brows furrowing deeply.

"Really?"

Ling Chuxia gave him a cool glance, her smile deepening, then without waiting for a response, she rcilessly kicked Shi Che’s right foot. "Since it hurts so much, continue suffering then!"

His movents were too agile just now, not at all like soone whose foot was still healing. Did he think she was dumb or blind?

She knew it. Yesterday, he definitely had pretended that his foot hadn’t healed, luring her to stay and take care of him, and then... he had caused her entire body to ache, her legs trembling uncontrollably.

Thinking about it, anger surged within Ling Chuxia, and she couldn’t help but kick Shi Che again, this ti feeling a sharp pain as though she had pulled sothing, causing her to frown slightly.

Seeing that he could no longer maintain his act, Shi Che simply stopped pretending. Seeing Ling Chuxia furrowing her brows, he quickly reached out to embrace her. "Chuxia, what’s wrong? Did I hurt you last night?"

His ntion of last night only infuriated her further. It had been half a year since they’d been together, and she harbored so fear. She had thought once would have been enough for Shi Che, but unexpectedly... it turned over many tis, almost lasting the entire night until she, crying and begging, finally got him to stop reluctantly.

Indeed, a man’s words in bed should never be trusted.

Ling Chuxia’s lips pouted slightly, her hands clenched into fists. She punched Shi Che in the chest, glaring at him, "Liar!"

Her words had a double aning, cursing both his feigned leg injury and his promises from the previous night.

But with her voice hoarse, those black eyes shimring with tears and emotion, her glare and pout weren’t intimidating at all but rather held a hint of allure.

Shi Che’s eyes darkened slightly, his throat seemingly dry. He smirked, his voice lowering, "Then I wouldn’t mind deceiving you one more ti."

With that, Shi Che pushed Ling Chuxia back down onto the bed. This ti, however, Ling Chuxia was not about to let him have his way. She pushed forcefully against his chest with both hands, shoving him away and dropping the remark, "In your dreams." Then before he could react, she darted into the bathroom like a little rabbit.
