The car passed by a large mall, and Shi Che suddenly lifted his eyes, his thin lips slightly parting, "Stop the car."

The driver imdiately stepped on the brake, and the car steadily stopped on the roadside. Shi Che put away his laptop, turned his face to the side, and his voice was as indifferent as ever, "Get out."

Chuxia instinctively glanced out the window. This place was a mall; why would Shi Che get out here? Could it be that the business matter he had to attend to was located here?

Chuxia, filled with doubts, slowly got out of the car. Shi Che glanced at her but still did not say a word. He strode towards the inside of the mall, and she could only lift her feet and follow.

Unexpectedly, Shi Che led her directly into a clothing store.

Chuxia’s steps halted abruptly. Her brows furrowed even tighter, a hint of annoyance flickering in her eyes, "Aren’t we supposed to be working? What are we doing here?"

She knew it, Shi Che definitely did not have good intentions. He was surely thinking of another way to torture her. How foolish she still was...

Shi Che also stopped in his tracks, turned around, his dark eyes landing on her face, carrying endless mockery. His lips hooked coldly, his voice nearly void of warmth, "There’s a banquet tonight, and evening attire is needed. I didn’t bring any. Helping your superior choose attire is also sothing you, as his secretary, should do. Don’t you think, Secretary Ling?"

Hearing Shi Che’s words, Chuxia’s face instantly turned red, especially with that last rhetorical question laced with thick irony, making Chuxia feel utterly embarrassed for a mont.

It seed she was indeed too tense and perhaps a bit too presumptuous... as if Shi Che would really plot against her.

Chuxia closed her eyes briefly, took a deep breath secretly, and tried hard not to be so sensitive. She convinced herself it was just another task, yes, just a job.

Only ten days!

She chanted in her mind several tis, finally calming down. When she looked up again, her expression was able to remain composed. She looked at Shi Che, her voice still a bit low but much steadier, "I understand."

Shi Che huffed coldly and didn’t bother with her anymore, continuing to walk inward. The sales lady, seeing Shi Che’s handso face radiating elegance and nobility, imdiately brightened her eyes and approached eagerly, her voice almost too sweet, "Sir, how may I assist you?"

However, Shi Che didn’t even glance at her. Instead, he coldly shot a look at Chuxia and then nodded towards the rows of hanging clothes, implying that she needed to get to work.

Seeing this, the sales lady reluctantly retracted her smile, while Chuxia took a deep breath and stepped forward.

Choosing the right attire for the occasion and knowing how to match it was a compulsory course during her ti with the Shi family, naturally not a challenging task for Chuxia. She walked around the row of clothes and picked out a shirt, vest, jacket, and trousers—opting for a three-piece suit as it was for a formal occasion.

However, when she brought these clothes to Shi Che, who was sitting on the sofa sipping coffee and listlessly scanning them, he simply said, "Not suitable. Pick again."

Chuxia was slightly startled and couldn’t help but look at the clothes in her hand. She had selected according to his usual preferences; why were they unsuitable?

But Shi Che didn’t provide her any reason. After finishing his statent, he simply bowed his head and flipped through the magazine in his hands.
