Chapter 1437: Ending 1: The Fire of No Regrets_9

There were a total of 313 players here, far more than last ti.

This was the first change in this Inner Cosmos journey.

The second change was that all 313 players were those who joined the Alliance before, without any who defected to the Dark Divine Cult.

It was estimated that the tal Ancestor Dragon had abandoned the plan to borrow players from the Dark Divine Cult once it had received a full quota of players from the Alliance.

The third change was that among the 313 players, except for Noland Lee who could still maintain his inner clarity, the remaining 312 players had lost most of their mories.

Who they were, where they ca from, why they appeared here and so on beca the most talked about topics among these players.

...

They could only know from their ga interface that their nas were Zhang San or Li Si, and they could obtain rewards by completing tasks released by the ga interface.

By piecing together bits of information, they reached a conclusion:

They must be a group of undead specifically employed to carry out special tasks, currently hired by the Death Steel Legion to investigate a conspicuously abnormal Magic Relic.

As Noland Lee listened to the discussions of the players, who seed to have lost their wits, he opened Cucumber Slice’s ga interface and only then discovered that the content had drastically changed.

All terminology related to “Starry Sea” had been altered by the tal Ancestor Dragon, transford into content related to “Wizard” and “Wizard Association”.

For instance, the players’ occupation of “Interstellar Warrior” had beco the extraordinary profession of “Magic Energy Warrior” developed by so Wizard Association.

The players’ experience bar, level, and attributes hadn’t changed much, but the explanatory information for these panel terms had shifted from sentences in the Starry Sea ga to common knowledge within the magic domain.

“Spirit”, the sa term where in “Starry Sea” it was only related to the strength of ntal abilities, was now connected to the effects of ditation thods and spellcasting effects.

Modifications like these succeeded in positioning the amnesiac players as servants of a wizard, their master being the tal Ancestor Dragon.

It must be said, the tal Ancestor Dragon played this switcheroo brilliantly~

If Noland Lee wanted to awaken the players’ mories and bring them back under his “Command”, it would certainly take a considerable effort.

“No rush, no rush. I still have control over these players’ soul manipulation rights. Whenever I want, I can reset the players’ souls and ga interfaces at any ti, bringing everything back to the state before they were taken into the Inner Cosmos by the tal Ancestor Dragon.”

That said, Noland knew very well in his heart.

The mont he began resetting the players’ souls and ga interfaces, it would imdiately alert the tal Ancestor Dragon, and a great battle would be inevitable.

Therefore, he could only reset all the players at the scene at a critical mont.

Before that, there was sothing waiting for him to do.

“I need to quickly distinguish which players haven’t been turned into Hysteric Brains and which ones have already beco Hysteric Brains.”

With this in mind, Noland rode a truck to the entrance of the Illusion Space.

Death Steel Soldiers opened the rear doors of the truck and led the players down from the vehicle.

Just as in the previous experience, the Death Steel Soldiers didn’t say much to the players, but instead pushed them into the Illusion Space one by one, and soon it was Noland’s turn.

He faced the Illusion Space, emitting a rainbow radiance, his heart as calm as water.

With a great force coming from behind, Noland fell forward in the direction of the force and plunged headfirst into the entrance of the illusion.

Color blocks of different colors appeared before his eyes, forming a vast and dazzling screen.

At the center of the screen, right ahead of where Noland was falling, a circular gap appeared.

Behind this gap, Noland saw the vast starry sky.

Just as he had seen in his previous experience, the planets in this starry sky were connected by silvery white threads, each one a quantum leap channel that rapidly shuttled between different planets.

By simply relaxing his body and letting one of these threads pull him in to start shuttling, Noland could quickly reach the eting venue in Dillan Paradise.

By then, Noland would naturally be able to see the conference scene he had witnessed in the illusion created in the core of his mind once again.

But!

Noland noticed sothing amiss!

After he officially stepped into this starry sky, he forcibly stopped himself and did not approach the silvery thread that was drawing him in.

An intangible odd feeling flowed through Noland’s heart, and his eyes flickered with the light of thought and discernnt.

“Why is the illusion created by this Illusion Space a bit different from the one in the core of the mind?”

Noland’s gaze drifted exceedingly slowly across the surrounding stars, not neglecting any detail.

If the illusion created by the core of the mind had a genuine sense of depth, then the current illusion he was in was rife with a slipshod feel.

Carefully observe these planets.

They looked about the sa size as normal planets, also with visible white clouds and azure oceans to the naked eye.

But when Noland flew toward them, he found that he simply could not get near any of the planets.

It was as if…

It was as if these planets were re textures in a low-quality 3D ga.

It seed as though the ga developers had created the planets, but in reality, they were just images, not intended for players to land on at all.
