Chapter 1176: 367. Unexpected_2
The tal Ancestor Dragon raised its head to the sky, gazing at the resplendent star map, swiftly checking the stars of the night.
“The ‘Escape’ Core of the Plane and the Shadow Executioner did not create a sub-dinsional space within the Inner Cosmos. The Shadow King would only appear after the revival of three dark deities. Therefore, the only one who could possibly have stolen the tallic Gem Box would be the Assassin Angel.”
The tal Ancestor Dragon raised its hand towards the heavens.
During the extension of its right index finger, it transford into a gold-tinted antenna over ten ters tall.
Without resorting to a ritual array or any kind of interstellar communication device, the tal Ancestor Dragon, through its assimilated body alone, completed the communication with the tal Creation Group.
Five seconds later, the tal Ancestor Dragon’s right hand returned to its original form.
...
“No, it seems it wasn’t the Assassin Angel’s doing. She is still locked inside the Main Brain Controller. However, about half a year ago, a severe energy leakage happened in the laboratory where she was detained. Could the Assassin Angel have taken advantage of this experintal accident and split off a small part of her will, entering the Inner Cosmos…”
The tal Ancestor Dragon pondered endlessly, but its hands did not cease their motion.
Although the Assassin Angel bears the appellation “angel”, considered alongside the Angel of Space and Gravity, Gilenz, and the Angel of Ti and Evolution, Selent, her actual strength is not that formidable; it’s her ability that’s special.
Knowing that she could be the enemy, using so targeted thods, it’s still possible to lock onto her trail.
Whether or not she was behind this mischief, the tal Ancestor Dragon intended to try.
The tal Ancestor Dragon tore open the robes on its chest, exposing an iron-gray torso.
tal spikes protruded from its chest, aiming straight for the night sky.
These spikes ford a pillar, like a fountain erupting from a pipe, and the pillar further branched out in all directions like the canopy of a giant tree, weaving a vast iron curtain.
With the tal Ancestor Dragon as its epicenter, an increasing expanse of the night sky was obscured by the tal iron curtain, but the humans and wizards below showed no reaction.
This was because, under the tal Ancestor Dragon’s control, the iron curtain shifted from an iron-gray appearance to a transparent one.
Be it starlight or moonlight, all could penetrate through the curtain and shine down, yet the things under the iron curtain could not escape; they couldn’t ascend through it, nor could they activate the stars in the night sky to open a teleportation gate.
The extension of this iron curtain was extrely swift.
Almost within three seconds of its appearance, an urban area with a radius of more than ten kiloters had already fallen within its periter.
Another three seconds passed, and vast tracts of land outside the city followed the steps of the urban area.
After three more seconds, one-third of the Land of Revival was encompassed by the tal Ancestor Dragon.
At the sa ti, the transparent iron curtain subtly trembled, with dense shock waves raining down on the ground like a torrential downpour.
Grass and trees moved without wind.
Cats, dogs, and insects jumped in fright.
Light bulbs flickered intermittently, alternating between light and dark.
Humans shuddered, their hair standing on end.
The wizards, with senses far surpassing ordinary people, felt as though countless eyes were watching them, sending chills down their backs.
The Undead Spirits within the Undead Cult were on high alert, feeling a soul-deep tremor.
The Death Steel Soldier working on the energy nexus underground rattled noisily, their bodies quaking uncontrollably, showing signs of malfunction.
Only the Death Steel Soldier Commander, relying on the crown covering his forehead, avoided catastrophe and moved as before.
This disturbance sweeping across the entire Tatis Region ca swiftly and left just as quickly.
Fifteen seconds after the iron curtain’s ergence, the tal Ancestor Dragon found the answer it sought.
However, this answer was sowhat beyond its expectations.
…
…
Ti rolls back to this evening, just before dusk.
At that ti, Noland Lee had just settled down in an inn outside the city.
He had disguised himself as a wandering rchant and took a simple guestroom.
Music from within the inn traveled along the corridor, gently moving the door.
Noland Lee lifted his hand to cast a spell barrier, smoothing out the noise from outside, transforming the small guestroom with only a single bed and a bedside table into a private hidden chamber.
The voice of the Assassin Angel echoed in Noland Lee’s ears:
“I’ve given it so thought, and our withdrawal process after obtaining the gem box tonight might not go very smoothly.”
“Oh? Why do you say that?” Noland Lee stored the single bed in the room into his magic pouch, pulling out his rocking chair to sit down.
“The tal Ancestor Dragon Tarsali is inherently suspicious, and it holds its own cosmic power in the Outer Space. It should be able to glean from my initial entrance into the Inner Cosmos the turmoil I caused within the Angel Enterprise Alliance.”
Noland Lee listened attentively, not uttering a word.
The Assassin Angel continued:
“The tal Ancestor Dragon can confirm that my main body is still within the Angel Enterprise Alliance, but it will also infer from the experintal anomaly I caused that I have split a portion of my will into the Inner Cosmos. It will use a special thod to search for my whereabouts.”
“What is this thod?” Noland Lee asked.
The Assassin Angel replied:
“I’ve told you before about the ‘Veil of Different Worlds,’ which works by replicating the past state of an object, replacing its current state, correct?”
The concept was not difficult to grasp.
Suppose there is a patch of ground that was flat five minutes ago, but now there is a large pit dug into it.
The ‘Veil of Different Worlds’ acts like a curtain, covering this patch of ground, conjuring up what it looked like five minutes ago to conceal the fact that it has been dug into.
