The carriage was quiet. The only sound made inside the carriage was Silas’s sigh.

And according to Ice-pick, his happiness was escaping from him. He was inclined to believe her for how much he had sighed.

Ice-pick and Isvendar were in a conflict.

Although he called a conflict, it was mostly from Ice-pick. The succubus was not having a good ti with Isvendar. She antagonized Isvendar.

Luna pleaded with her to calm down but even she wasn’t capable of stopping her. So in the end, the responsibility fell upon Silas.

Silas blew air and flicked the succubus’s forehead. She scread, rubbing her head.

"Ouch."

"Stop saying an things to her." Silas sighed and yanked her from Isvendar, placing her beside him.

The seating was arranged like this.

Silas took the window seat, far from the door. Beside him was Ice-pick who wanted to hug him for so reason. She beca more clingy as soon as the marriage was announced.

In front of Silas was Luna. She declined the seating order saying that the fiance should stay but Silas ignored her. After all, how was he supposed to teach her if she was far away from him?

Beside Luna was Isvender who made herself small, tightly hugging her small bag. Silas asked her to put the bag in the back but she said she wanted to hold it in.

Roland was beside Ice-pick, organizing his thoughts and energy. He said he would only beco awake when the breasts ca or sothing tasty appeared.

And he was true to his words and still hadn’t opened his eyes yet.

The carriage was now a bit far away from the Floen town. Soon, the town would vanish and be replaced by trees.

Isvendar stared outside with a hint of confusion on her face.

Silas ignored her and reprimanded Ice-pick for not picking on Isvendar.

"Why are you being so difficult right now?" He sighed.

"I just want to see sothing in her." Ice-pick whispered.

"Ah." Silas understood the reason for Ice-pick’s struggle. She was being like this because she was scared of Isvendar in a sense that she reminded her of her father.

That was why she was poking at Isvendar to reveal the emotion. If that was her reason, Silas didn’t know what to say.

He sighed again, rubbing his neck.

"You could try testing your ability on her. You are a succubus right? Emotions are a re tool to you. If you can’t move her heart, you should give up on your journey of searching for love."

"It doesn’t make sense."

"Oh, it makes sense. What if your fated lover is exactly like Isvendar? How will you pursue your love? Think about it."

"No way. There is no way my lover is like her."

"It is possible. And there are many away, a person can mask his or her emotions. Even if I can do it given enough ti."

"It is true." Ice-pick nodded slowly. Silas smiled as his convincing worked wonderfully.

After giving Ice-pick a task to make Isvendar laugh, he ignored her and turned attention to Luna.

She held out her book and gave it to Silas.

"It is my diary. Please check it out." She spoke in a soft voice.

Reflectively, Silas grabbed the diary.

"Huh?" What was he going to do with a woman’s diary?

Looking at Luna, he had to reevaluate his opinion about her. He opened the book and ignored the unnecessary stuff like what she ate and what enjoyed.

There was even a paragraph of her buying underwear with Ice-pick.

’Eh.. She is wearing blue huh? I bet it looks great on her.’

Silas shook his head and slapped his face.

’Get it together, Silas. She is your apprentice.’ Silas grabbed hold of himself and let out a sigh.

’Am I sexually frustrated? No, it shouldn’t be.’ He continued reading and finally arrived at the desired location.

Luna tilted her head and seed to realize sothing. She tried to grab the diary but Silas was fast and dodged her attempt.

"No need. I have arrived at the theory part." He spoke in a clear voice.

Luna hung her head low, her ears flushed with redness. She hugged tightly to her big hat and nodded.

Silas read the mana theory.

[She is quite good. Although the theory she proposed was already studied, to be able to co up on her own was impressive. She is not that talented but her passion for magic was admirable.]

Thamior praised her sincerely.

Hearing a piece of admiration from a despicable human like Thamior was strange. Even if he used humans to advance his magecraft, Thamior was still the sixth circle mage.

One must have a passion for magecraft, in order to reach his place.

Silas ignored him and read the theory. It was an interesting one. It was about overlaying crests to create a powerful spell.

Silas knew about it after all, he tried to do the sa but dropped it because it was inefficient.

But Luna could probably do it, considering her mana concealnt.

Silas nodded.

"I will help you with the theory. That is what you want right?"

Luna nodded.

Silas closed the book and started the lessons. They got about an hour and half before stopping for a camp.

He began teaching the necessary theory about overlaying.

How can one intertwine the two crests without losing the power? As the lessons dug deeper, he gave Luna howork and rested his mouth.

He took out the water bottle and drank it, emptying the content.

’I will fill up with water when the carriage stops.’ Silas noted down and looked around.

Ice-pick was sleeping. That was the sa as usual. She always fell asleep when he was teaching to Luna.

She said his voice carried a warm tone when he explained the lessons and it soothed her.

His eyes drifted away from Ice-pick and landed in Isvendar. Their gazes t and she bowed her head.

She seed to be interested in the lessons but she didn’t even have a mana core so her path was beyond her right now.

Silas ignored her and rested.

The carriage stopped after a few monts. Roland stepped outside and took out his sword.

He then turned and looked inside the carriage. "I will clear the beasts nearby."

He then dashed with incredible speed and disappeared from their sights. Silas stepped out and stretched his body.

He helped Old Gin set up the tent. Even if it was a servant job, he couldn’t make the old man do the odd job alone.

Luna set up the barrier around the campsite.

After setting up the tent, Silas looked at the campsite and nodded.

’Seem like my skills are not rusty yet.’ He muttered inwardly.

"Now, ti for dinner. Who is doing the cooking?"

"That will be ." Old Gin said.

"I am sorry for the trouble."

"No need for that, Sir. It is my duty."

"After all this, I will give you a lot of vacation." Silas said and left the campsite.

"Haha. I don’t need it, sir. I am happy to serve you."

Silas left the campsite and went back to the carriage.

He was now alone inside. Isvendar had left, dragged alone by Ice-pick. The succubus changed her entire deanor like a switch. She was now sucking up to Isvendar.

Looking at the campsite from the carriage, Silas let out a sigh.
