Dante narrowed his eyes as he double-checked the mission. It was truly written there that he needed to stop Jas from transforming into a demonic human.
Demonic human?
Jas is in the process of transforming into such a creature. A human transforming into a demonic creature like those fishes? How is that possible?
Dante’s poker face turned serious.
The shiny orb appeared beside him.
Dante nodded.
Jas’ body suddenly sends waves of dark energy around him. The re touch of these dark energies imdiately turned the unconscious people on the floor, beside Jas, into lumps of at, painting the surroundings red.
gan who was also near Jas at that mont was also in danger of getting hit by it. Everyone widened their eyes in shock, especially gan herself.
However, before she suffered the sa fate as those martial artists, soone jumped in front of her and blocked the dark energy from reaching her.
With a wave of his hand, the dark energy was repelled by an invisible force.
"D-Dante?!"
When gan opened her eyes, she saw Dante right in front of her. He was using his body as her shield. gan had never felt much safer in her life. Dante’s broad shoulders were like an impenetrable shield.
"Are you okay?"
His manly voice carried unhidden gentleness. Very comforting to hear. From his question, she nodded.
"Y-yes. Thanks for saving ."
Dante nodded silently. His gaze turned to Jas.
Sujin blinked his eyes in wonder. Dante was just standing beside him just now. How did he appear in front of gan all of a sudden?
What is this? Did he teleport?
Suddenly, he heard Dante calling him. "Creep, bring these girls away from here! This will going to be very dangerous here."
"Alright! But explain to later!" Sujin just wanted to run away from that place as soon as possible. After seeing those martial artists turn to flesh and blood in an instant, who in their right mind would want to stay there?
The food he ate this morning was about to co out.
Dante wasn’t sure what Sujin wanted to hear but he nodded anyway.
"How about you?" gan suddenly asked Dante.
"No. I need to stay. I have to do sothing with your boyfriend."
"Uhm..."
It seed gan wanted to say sothing but she couldn’t say it.
When Sujin called out the girls’ attention they woke up from shock. They suddenly ran away toward Sujin, screaming as they did.
gan was skeptical to leave, but Dante managed to scare her by saying she would end up like those martial artists if she stayed there. She left with Sujin and the girls while saying she would find so help.
After they left, Dante looked at Jas again and asked himself what to do now.
Looking at Jas, his body started changing. The color of his skin turned pale and gray. Sharp spikes started growing on his body.
His eyes started turning red and his hair stood like needles.
However, the most ominous thing about him was the dark aura surging from his body and the noise coming from him.
It sounded painful and agonizing!
Failure of the mission stated death was the price. The word death was written in a plural form, which ant, it didn’t specify his death alone. So maybe it was indicating that the consequences of failing the mission were the lives of many people.
There were already four victims while it was still in the process of transforming, and what’s more when it transford completely.
This was not sothing Dante could allow to continue.
A human transforming into a demonic creature due to not following the normal process of awakening. This was his first ti encountering such an event.
"What do you think is the reason for this to happen, Shiny?" Dante asked the shiny orb while pondering what to do. He at least needed to know the reason behind it. Maybe he could find a clue on how to stop it.
By the way, he couldn’t make a reckless move like attacking him without a solid plan.
"So in order to stop his transformation, I need to bring him back to his senses?"
"Then what should I do?"
"Uhh, that’s a problem."
"My mission is stopping him without killing."
"That’s true."
"What?"
"That’s not for to worry. Which do you think is more important? Your life or your ambition?"
"..."
"Well, never mind."
Above the school, there was a gathering of dark clouds.
The students from the superhuman class were gathering, asking their colleagues what had happened and what was this terrifying aura. They could feel an ominous aura but couldn’t pinpoint where it ca from.
"This kind of aura is no doubt coming from a demonic creature."
Kyzer, who was in the school at that ti, said to the classmates around him. Hearing him, everyone widened their eyes.
"D-Demonic creature?!" Said soone in a frightened trembling voice.
Different kinds of emotions were visible in everyone’s eyes. So were frightened and so were excited.
"Demonic creature?! Great! It’s ti for to shine! Where is it? Where is that demonic creature?!" Said an enthusiastic student. His face was beaming with confidence.
They looked at Kyzer, seeking his answer.
They trusted his words because he was part of the SWORD Corps and had experience in dealing with demonic creatures. On top of that, he was the savior hailed by everyone in the city.
Beads of sweat appeared at the back of Kyzer. He had no idea as well the exact location of the demonic creature. But he was certain that this ominous aura was from a demonic creature. He couldn’t be wrong in this.
Suddenly, lody along with her friends and classmates approached them.
"Judging from how discernible it is, this demonic creature must be nearby," lody said, alarming everyone.
"lody!"
Kyzer’s face brightened when he saw her.
After her admission to the school, lody easily beca the strongest superhuman among the female students.
Her popularity in school skyrocketed.
While Kyzer was deed as the ’Shiny Prince’ by everyone in the school, lody’s icy deanor and pretty appearance earned her the title ’Ice Princess’.
