"What do we do?" a common prisoner yawned lightly, turning to his fellow, who was in a similar state.

"I don’t know! Everything’s been freed, but we’re still in this fucking massive prison."

"Or maybe so kind of torture is coming with it. Anything! I don’t trust any of the jailers," the prisoner replied calmly, as if he knew things wouldn’t end so easily.

And, in fact, his words made perfect sense.

They had all been gathered here, in the center of this enormous prison, for a whole week, and nothing had happened to them, as if they were just trash, ignored and discarded.

And this was deeply unsettling for so.

Amidst the dull atmosphere, the only thing he could do was gossip about their fate and what might co next.

"Hey! Everyone, look at that!" Suddenly, a thin, pale prisoner pointed with his broken fingers toward a spot ahead.

Following the call, the remaining prisoners turned their attention in that direction.

A tense silence fell between them.

Their throats grew cold and stiff as they stared into the distance.

"What the fuck is that? Why are they just appearing now?" a random voice rang out, filled with confusion.

In front of them stood the privileged prisoners — about ten of them — but that wasn’t the point.

Why were they wearing armor?

They looked like they were preparing for a hunt.

They were equipped with all sorts of weapons — and none of them looked normal.

The privileged prisoners said almost nothing. They just slowly approached the common ones.

Then suddenly, an old privileged prisoner charged forward with ridiculous speed, shouting loudly in amusent and excitent.

"HAHAHAHAHA~ I’M COMING... LITTLE Sacrificial pigs!"

At that mont, all the common prisoners understood the reality and fate they were about to face.

There was only one thing left to say — even if it didn’t need to be spoken aloud.

"RUN!"

All the common prisoners scattered in every direction, fleeing in horror. No one was stupid enough to stand there waiting for death.

"Fucking old man!" a privileged prisoner grimaced in anger, quickly lunging toward a group of common prisoners.

It was clear they had lost the elent of surprise — thanks to Oscar’s stupidity.

And now, they had to deal with the consequences.

Of course, they had already predicted that sothing like this might happen, so they had made a plan.

Each privileged prisoner would handle one group of common prisoners. That way, they wouldn’t be caught off guard — because this was their final chance to change their fate.

"Go ahead! Change your fate!" the leader of the privileged prisoners shouted, swinging his sword at a fallen common prisoner.

That prisoner, having fallen, already knew his fate — and so, he simply accepted it.

And half a second later, his head was split into pieces, spraying blood everywhere.

The horror for the common prisoners had begun.

It was a massacre — and a lot of people were going to die.

Eventually, that was their inevitable fate.

...

"Fuck! Why is this damn thing happening? Are we all going to die?" Tyrone’s expression twisted as he looked around.

With each passing second, another one of them fell — brutally.

No rcy.

No compassion.

Only death—that was the only thing he could see.

"I should act soon! But everything will be harder if I don’t have Hector’s help. Not yet... I still don’t know if he’s left my side."

Tyrone turned his eyes toward the spot he needed to reach if he wanted to survive, bringing a few of his fellows along.

"Let’s go, everyone. We should activate our plan sooner than we expected!"

But then, one of Tyrone’s fellows shouted a warning.

"Look out! It’s him—Hector!"

...

They all turned their eyes to Hector, suspicious and cautious.

However, they quickly relaxed when they heard what Hector said next.

"Go ahead! Don’t look back! Everything is just like our initial plan."

All of them nodded and moved forward without questioning Hector—except Tyrone, who still kept his eyes on him, tightly, as if ready to fight at any mont.

By now, they had moved far from the site of the slaughter.

"Sigh... Lucky for , I suggested everyone split up and take on groups of common prisoners separately. That way, I can escape without trouble."

Hector glanced back at the starting point, a bead of sweat running down his forehead.

But the mont he turned forward again, his expression twisted with anger and disbelief.

"Fuck!"

He imdiately stopped in his tracks, along with his companions.

In front of them stood a figure—one that looked familiar.

"Berry..." Hector whispered to himself.

Berry only glanced at Hector briefly before slowly approaching the group. She opened her red lips and asked in a cold tone:

"Why did you do that? Why didn’t you kill the prey, the ones beside you?"

Silence.

There was nothing Hector could say.

Basically, Hector was unable to lie—so it was better for him to stay silent. If he said anything, he might expose his weakness. And in doing so, he had already admitted the truth: he had taken a side.

"Hmm... So, I assu you’ve made your choice."

Berry slowly narrowed her eyes, drawing her sharp sword from its sheath and shifting into a fighting stance.

"Everything just keeps turning into fucking hell..." Tyrone muttered, pulling a weapon from his space system.

"Don’t waste ti on that!"

Hector narrowed his brows, quickly tossed Tyrone a pouch, and said:

"Take it. That’s all my money. You’ll need it if you escape from here!"

Tyrone and a few others looked back at Hector in surprise.

"W-what are you doing?... Don’t talk to ! You—"

"Yes! I’ll do it. I’ll fight her. Your job is just to run—run and survive! That’s the part of I leave with you!"

Hector drew his sword from his space system, then added:

"Don’t get emotional just yet. I want to survive, too. But in this situation, I’m the only one who can hold her back."

"Please... If you make it out alive, go to Ahrix Academy and find soone."

"Kevin Wolfe. Tell him everything. He’ll co for . And besides, he’ll give you a lot of money. Much more than what’s in your hand."

A mont of silence passed.

Tyrone felt the weight of the pouch in his hand. Then, without hesitation, he stored it in his space system and answered firmly:

"Yes, I will."
