"Did you break up? Let big brother take care of you, I promise you’ll forget all your troubles." The driver grew increasingly audacious, his malicious gaze making Zii extrely uncomfortable.
"Alright, co here."
Zii half-closed her eyes and curled her finger at the man.
The woman before him had fiery red lips and seductive eyes, she was simply a thousand-year-old enchantress.
The driver’s soul was nearly captured, he smiled more recklessly and lunged towards Zii, but before he got close, a clear sound of bones dislocating emanated from his wrist.
"Ahhh... it hurts! Spare , lady hero, spare !" The driver grimaced in pain, his arm was twisted and held immobile by Zii.
"Get lost!"
Zii raised her foot and kicked the driver hard.
The driver stumbled and crawled away; he initially intended to get into his taxi, but Zii’s icy glare scared him off, leaving the car behind as he fled in embarrassnt.
Outside, it was freezing; Zii opened the car door and got into the taxi.
She took out her phone from her pocket, flipping to that familiar number in her heart.
Beep beep beep...
The phone rang for a long ti, but no one answered.
Zii continued dialing; by the tenth call, an emotionless female voice ca through the phone: "Sorry, the subscriber you dialed is currently off."
Listening to the chanical voice, Zii felt complicated emotions.
She zoned out for a mont before calling the villa’s housekeeper: "Uncle Chen... co pick up, I’m too drunk to drive."
The housekeeper arrived over half an hour later.
As the window was knocked on, Zii opened her eyes with difficulty; she had fallen asleep while waiting.
Once inside the housekeeper’s Ferrari, Zii suddenly murmured, "Go to No.13, Binhai Road."
The housekeeper saw her forlorn expression and sighed silently, shaking his head as he started the car.
When the car stopped, Zii staggered out of it, "Uncle Chen, thank you for dropping off, goodbye~"
Zii’s cheeks were flushed, she sillyly waved at the housekeeper.
"Miss, be careful," Uncle Chen implored worriedly.
Zii waved her hand at him again and turned to walk towards the apartnt entrance.
No.13, Binhai Road’s luxury apartnt was Ye Cheng’s residence.
To facilitate access, Zii had purchased a unit inside, becoming one of the tenants. However, the apartnt remained vacant as she had never moved in.
She smoothly swiped her card to enter, her blurry eyes pressed the elevator button for the 16th floor.
Ding.
After the elevator arrived, she leaned against its wall and walked out.
"1602 is over here..."
She murmured to herself, pointing at one of the doors and wobbled over.
As she reached out to knock, she nervously touched her face.
Oh no, she hadn’t checked her makeup when she left; she had to look beautiful in front of A Cheng.
Zii quickly searched herself, realizing she hadn’t brought her bag, only her phone.
She used her phone screen as a mirror for a long ti, then used her hand as a comb to tidy her hair, determining it would barely pass, she took a deep breath and knocked on the door.
Knock, knock, knock...
Soone knocking on the door late at night is very annoying.
Ye Cheng turned on the bedside lamp, rubbed his brow for a few seconds to wake up, before getting out of bed.
As the door opened, Zii’s heart raced, she held her breath and focused on the man in loose plaid pajamas standing before her.
Unlike his usual suit and tie, Ye Cheng’s hair was slightly disheveled, his phoenix eyes drowsy, carrying a faint scent of shower gel.
But even so, he still looked excessively handso.
At Zii’s sight, Ye Cheng’s handso brows furrowed.
Zii spoke first: "I was almost assaulted, do you know that? Yet you turned off your phone..."
The woman’s tone carried so grievance, but Ye Cheng’s phoenix eyes showed no fluctuations.
She? Assaulted?
Is the perpetrator still alive?
