The boy still didn’t reply. He reached out for the backpack on the ground, dusted it off, propped himself up against the wall, and slowly stood up, heading out of the alley.
The girl frowned.
"Hey, I’m talking to you! How can you be so rude?" The girl quickly walked over and blocked his path.
The boy glanced at her indifferently.
His face was covered with dust, dirty, and there was bloodstain at the corner of his mouth.
Zii frowned and imdiately took out a wet wipe from her leather jacket pocket and boldly started wiping the boy’s face.
The boy had no ti to dodge.
As the bloodstain and dust were wiped away, his clean and handso face was revealed.
The skin on his smooth, fair face was delicate as porcelain, yet there was a distinct sharpness to his cold expression. In those mist-like eyes, stars twinkled, possessing a kind of fatal attraction. And those rosy lips...
Zii looked on in a daze.
It was the first ti she saw such a stunning young man, as if he had walked out from beneath a cherry blossom tree.
Sothing within her was hit hard, and Zii finally understood what a fluttering heart felt like.
After that glance, she could never forget him.
...
"A Cheng, I miss you."
Zii looked at her reflection in the floor-to-ceiling windows, a layer of mist gathering in her eyes as she softly murmured.
Long, fair fingers reached out to touch sothing, but they only t the chill of the autumn night glass.
She paused for a few seconds, then suddenly turned around.
Grabbing the coat beside her, she stumbled out of the bedroom.
The night was cool. Zii put on a long-sleeve shirt over her pajamas, still wearing slippers, standing just like that on the bustling street.
At midnight, she finally managed to hail a taxi.
As soon as the woman got in the car, the driver caught a whiff of her perfu mixed with red wine.
A seductive scent.
The driver couldn’t help but take another glance at the woman in the rearview mirror.
Such a beautiful creature out in the middle of the night, and in a drunken state... The driver suddenly had a sinister thought.
If he could sleep with a woman like this, it would be incredible.
Zii’s head hurt, and after getting into the car, she leaned against the window with her eyes closed, her delicate eyebrows slightly furrowed, looking uncomfortable.
The taxi did not head towards her requested destination but arrived in the deserted West City District.
"Why aren’t we there yet?" The woman in the back seat finally opened her blurred eyes and asked.
"I... I made a wrong turn. Sorry, it will take a while." The driver looked at the drunken woman’s flushed cheeks in the rearview mirror, inexplicably feeling dry-mouthed.
Upon hearing this, Zii glanced out the car window.
She noticed it was pitch-black outside, with few streetlights, and instinctively sensed sothing was wrong.
"Where are you taking ? Stop the car!" She imdiately demanded coldly.
"Alright, alright, stopping..."
The driver replied with a laugh, but a treacherous glint flashed in his eyes.
The taxi pulled over to the roadside.
Zii got out and pushed the car door open herself, looking around to find that she was surrounded by buildings under construction, so dark not a single soul was in sight.
"Why did you deliberately bring here?" Zii wasn’t foolish; she naturally understood the situation at hand. She turned to the driver and asked coldly.
The driver sneered and unbuckled his belt, lunging towards her: "What’s wrong with letting enjoy such a pretty woman?"
Zii swiftly dodged, and the driver missed her.
"Well, well, you’re more skilled than you look." The driver laughed disgustingly, continuing to step towards Zii.
"Don’t provoke , I’m in a very bad mood right now." Zii warned icily.
