Downstairs in the apartnt building, Mo Qian parked the car and entered the elevator with Ji Wei. The whole way, he held her hand tightly, never letting go.
Arriving at Nan Huiru’s residence, after several tis of knocking, there was no response from inside.
"Could mom not be ho?" Ji Wei couldn’t help but say.
Mo Qian glanced at the tightly closed apartnt door and was about to turn away when he suddenly stopped.
Ji Wei saw him walk over and put his ear to the door, then Mo Qian’s expression changed instantly. Curiously, she did the sa, and from inside the heavy iron door faintly ca the sound of a child crying.
The soundproofing in this apartnt is very good, and if you didn’t do this, you might overlook the sound inside.
Hearing her son’s sad crying, Ji Wei beca completely tense, clenched her hand into a fist and pounded on the door: "Mom, open the door, why did you lock An An inside? Open the door and let see him!"
The iron door rattled from Ji Wei’s pounding, and soon her knuckles were red.
"Weiwei."
Mo Qian grabbed her wrist, looked at the place on her knuckles that was almost bruised, his eyes seed to freeze with frost. He brought her hand to his lips, gently blew on it, "Does it hurt?"
Ji Wei couldn’t feel the pain on her hand at this mont, she shook her head.
"She won’t easily open the door. I’ll call the property managent and have them send soone over to handle it," Mo Qian said in a deep voice, his aura chilling a bit.
After hanging up the phone, he said to Ji Wei, "People will be here soon. If she still doesn’t open the door later, we’ll call the police."
A sharp light flashed in the man’s eyes.
Whoever dares to use their child as a threat, he will never show rcy!
The property managent arrived and tried to communicate with the person in the apartnt. But Nan Huiru still didn’t respond, communication failed, they had no choice but to forcibly pry the door open.
As soon as the door opened, Ji Wei rushed in impatiently.
She imdiately saw An An placed in a baby chair, strapped in with a seatbelt unable to move, his arms and legs waving wildly, wailing loudly with a face full of tears.
Seeing this, Ji Wei felt heartbroken.
She quickly went over to comfort An An, stroking his soft little head: "An An, don’t cry, mommy is here."
At this mont, Nan Huiru ca out of the kitchen holding cooked children’s noodles.
Seeing the room full of people, she showed displeasure and reprimanded: "I just wanted to have so alone ti with my grandson to bond, what’s all the fuss about?"
The property managent exchanged glances, and after a mont, they awkwardly retreated and closed the door.
Ji Wei was extrely upset inside, she bit back her anger and spoke: "Mom, no matter what, you should have told us about taking An An. Mo Qian and I were very worried, he’s so young and doesn’t know anyone around—"
Nan Huiru impatiently interrupted her: "You just left like this, what about Zhi Zhou? Hurry back to the hospital, An An will be temporarily cared for by ."
"I’ve already arranged for soone to stay at the hospital," Mo Qian coldly spoke then.
He walked over, helping Ji Wei unbuckle An An from the seatbelt. When An An saw his dad, he eagerly opened his chubby little hands to rush into Mo Qian’s arms.
"Papa! Papa..."
An An lovingly clung onto him, his chubby little face still sared with tears and snot rubbing against Mo Qian’s handso face.
