"Once the company’s matters are sorted, I’ll take you around the world and find a way to heal your eyes." Ye Cheng spoke with a sad and deep expression as he slowly reached out his hand, wanting to touch Zii’s eyes.
Yet his hand froze in front of her line of sight.
"Okay, I’ll listen to you." Zii raised her face towards the direction of his voice, a smile always on her lips.
She had never been a woman who liked crying or being sentintal, even if she couldn’t see.
But the more brightly Zii smiled, the sadder Ye Cheng felt.
His heart felt as if it was being pierced by countless needles, and he reached out to pull Zii into his arms, "Until you can see, I’ll be your eyes."
His voice was almost choked up.
"A Cheng, are you crying?"
Zii, a bit anxious, reached forward trying to touch his face. Her fair and slender fingers moved along his handso features, feeling the wetness at her fingertips, which made her more worried: "A Cheng, A Cheng..."
She called his na, her expression anxious.
"I’m okay." Ye Cheng held her hand, pressing it tightly against his cheek, "I’ll continue to carry you."
Zii was once again carried on Ye Cheng’s back, and before long, the two walked into the villa.
Xia Duoduo watched their figures walk into the distance, squatting behind the car, covering her mouth and crying uncontrollably.
Once she realized that Zii really couldn’t see, she didn’t even have the courage to walk up to them. Maybe not saying goodbye is the best goodbye.
Only after their figures were out of sight did Xia Duoduo slowly stand up. Her legs were numb from squatting, and she held onto the car door, pausing for a while before sitting in the car.
After the car started, her tears still couldn’t stop, but her heart finally began to gradually release.
She also knew she wasn’t suited for Ye Cheng, just unwilling to admit it. But after today, she would have to learn to love soone new, and all her affections for the Great Demon King would be sealed in her mories.
...
Two days later.
Outside the window, the sky was bright, but Ji Wei still craved the man’s embrace and refused to get up.
Since reconciling with Gu Moqian, her sleep quality had improved significantly, and she felt particularly at ease falling asleep while holding him.
"Still don’t want to get up?" Gu Moqian looked down at the woman cuddling against his chest, his eyes carrying a gentle smile as he asked.
"No..." Ji Wei murmured sleepily, still keeping her eyes closed.
"I was planning to take you out today... never mind, if you don’t want to get up, just keep sleeping. Sleep as long as you like." The man’s flat tone sounded above her head.
Hearing this, Ji Wei suddenly lifted her head from his embrace, blinked, and confird in disbelief: "Really? You’re taking out?"
Where could he be taking her? Ji Wei’s heart couldn’t help but leap with excitent.
"Yes, but it seems like you prefer sleeping." Gu Moqian glanced at her, his tone laid-back as he spoke.
Ji Wei quickly sat up and threw off the covers: "I’m not sleeping anymore, let’s go out for a walk instead. Wait for a mont, I’ll be ready soon."
Watching the woman slip on her slippers and hurriedly disappear behind the bathroom door.
Gu Moqian’s lips curled into a gentle arc, laughter evident in his eyes. He also got out of bed and followed her into the bathroom.
The water flowed loudly from the faucet, and Ji Wei stood by the sink applying cleanser to her face. Seeing this, Gu Moqian walked over casually, picking up the toothbrush from the nearby cup.
When Ji Wei washed the foam off her face and opened her eyes, she saw Gu Moqian squeezing toothpaste.
Noticing the pink toothbrush handle in his hand, she couldn’t help but laugh softly and correct him: "Mo Qian, you took the wrong toothbrush."
