Gu Moqian handed the nu back to the waiter, pulled Ji Wei into his embrace gently, and said, "Hungry? Want to get so snacks to fill your stomach first?"
Ji Wei smiled and shook her head, "I’m not hungry."
Her gaze involuntarily drifted again toward the couple sitting opposite them.

Gu Moqian looked at her for a mont, then suddenly picked up his chopsticks and started adding food to her bowl. As the bowl rapidly piled up into a small mountain, Ji Wei’s eyes widened in surprise.

"Eat more so you’ll have energy tonight," Gu Moqian t her stunned gaze, speaking with utmost seriousness.
Ji Wei’s face flushed bright red in an instant.
Too audacious—there were people sitting next to them!
Zii chuckled lightly at his words, "I envy you two, such a strong relationship still."
Ji Wei, clearly flustered, tugged at the corners of her lips awkwardly, then lowered her head and silently shoveled food into her mouth. Nearby, Ye Cheng’s unusually gentle voice resonated, "Want to eat shrimp? I’ll peel it for you."
"Sure." Zii’s response was equally sweet.
Ji Wei glanced up at Ye Cheng across the table, watching him attentively peeling shrimp for Zii, before directly feeding it into her mouth.
For a mont, she seed captivated, her mouth full of food but forgetting to swallow.
"Want shrimp too?" Gu Moqian’s voice suddenly sounded above her head, startling Ji Wei.
She waved her hand repeatedly, "No, no, I’m good."
The food in her bowl had long filled her stomach; she couldn’t eat another bite.
The dinner was oddly harmonious. The ones speaking most were Gu Moqian and Ye Cheng, while Ji Wei occasionally chid in. Zii maintained her smile throughout, her gaze never straying an inch from Ye Cheng.
After finishing the al, Ye Cheng ntioned Zii’s habit of sleeping early. He said his goodbyes and left with her.
Gu Moqian also led Ji Wei to his car.
After the Maybach started, Ji Wei replayed the dinner scene in her mind, feeling that sothing was amiss but couldn’t quite pinpoint what.
She pondered for a while before voicing the doubt in her heart, "Mo Qian, don’t you feel... sohow this ti eting Mr. Ye and Zii, the two of them seed different than before?"
Gu Moqian took her small hand into his palm, turned his head, and quietly looked at her for a long mont.
Ji Wei felt baffled by his gaze and blinked, asking, "Is there rice on my face?"
Gu Moqian was amused by her words and broke into a soft smile. He reached out and pinched her delicate cheek, "Do you think you’re three years old? Saving grains of rice for your next al?"
Ji Wei’s face reddened, and she tried to maintain a serious expression as she looked at him, "Be serious. Don’t you think there’s sothing off about Mr. Ye and Zii?"
Gu Moqian’s eyes darkened slightly, and after a mont of silence, he slowly opened his mouth to speak, "The way they are is perfectly normal."
His gaze seed a bit distant, as though he was lost in so thought.
