An An seed to understand her mother’s words. Her beautiful big eyes blinked as she stared at Ji Wei, uttering a string of baby babble that Ji Wei couldn’t understand.

Although she couldn’t understand, Ji Wei could feel that An An was genuinely happy.

To ensure the baby’s safety, Ji Wei didn’t dare to drive too fast, so they arrived at the airport close to 9:40.

The departure hall was bustling with people coming and going. In such a vast place, searching for soone wasn’t going to be easy. Mo Qian wouldn’t answer her calls, so she could only search each seating area one by one.

After walking through most of the hall with An An in her arms, she still couldn’t find Mo Qian or Zhao Wanqing anywhere.

Could they already have boarded the plane?

Ji Wei’s heart tightened suddenly.

She quickened her pace, but after taking only a few steps, a sudden thought struck her. With Mo Qian’s distinguished status, he would surely be in the VIP lounge. What was the point of searching around the regular departure hall?

She was so panicked that her mind had completely gone offline.

anwhile, seated in the VIP lounge, Zhao Wanqing listened to the announcent over the broadcast, then turned to the man beside her and said, "Mr. Gu, you heard it, didn’t you? Our flight’s delayed due to the weather. It looks like we’ll have to wait another half hour to board."

"Mm."

Mo Qian, focused intently on the docunts on his laptop, responded flatly to her remark.

Zhao Wanqing didn’t mind his aloof attitude. She stepped toward the floor-to-ceiling glass window, her eyes scanning the hall with an anxious expression flashing in them.

Ti was running out — could Ji Wei not have arrived yet?

"What are you looking at?" Suddenly, a deep, icy male voice sounded behind her. Startled, Zhao Wanqing instinctively patted her chest as she turned back to see Mo Qian staring at her with sharp, cold eyes.

She quickly masked her emotions. "Nothing. I’m just bored and looking around," she replied casually.

"Watch the luggage. I’m going to the restroom." Mo Qian said coldly before getting up and walking away.

...

Following the direction of the signs, Ji Wei hurried toward the VIP lounge entrance. Through the glass windows, her anxious gaze swept over the inside. There weren’t many passengers within, but all the faces she saw were unfamiliar.

A sense of palpable disappointnt rose in Ji Wei’s eyes.

Could she really not even see him one last ti?

Unable to spot the man’s silhouette, Ji Wei was about to give up and turn around when a sudden grip on her arm yanked her swiftly behind a nearby advertisent panel.

Seeing Zhao Wanqing suddenly appear, Ji Wei’s eyes widened in shock.

"It’s you!" she exclaid, unable to hold back her surprise.

In a low voice, Zhao Wanqing said, "You’re finally here. The plane’s delayed, so we’re still waiting. Look, Mr. Gu just ca back from the restroom."

Following Zhao Wanqing’s pointed direction, Ji Wei saw Mo Qian dressed impeccably in a suit, exuding an aura of cold sophistication. He was seated once more, focused on his laptop.

Ji Wei’s gaze lingered on him for a long ti, unwilling to pull away, while Zhao Wanqing began cooing at the baby in Ji Wei’s arms. "Hello, little cutie. Your na is An An, isn’t it? I’m Aunt Wanqing. Hi there!"

An An’s round eyes stared at Zhao Wanqing curiously, her expression intrigued.

When Ji Wei finally tore her eyes away to look at Zhao Wanqing, the latter couldn’t help but exclaim, "An An is so adorable. May I hold him for a mont?"

Ji Wei’s expression turned wary as she looked at Zhao Wanqing, instinctively holding An An closer to her. Seeing her defensive reaction, Zhao Wanqing chuckled lightly and sighed, "You misunderstand ."

Ji Wei’s expression remained tense, showing no signs of relaxing.

"I summoned you here because I want to help you," Zhao Wanqing said seriously. "I initially had two plans prepared, but it turns out you brought An An along, and I realized he’s the most powerful weapon. If you want to win over Mr. Gu, he’s far more effective than my plans."

"Why are you helping ?"

Ji Wei asked in shock, blurting the question without thinking.

She couldn’t imagine why her rival in love would extend a helping hand, her face filled with disbelief and confusion.

"Because... I have a secret to tell you," Zhao Wanqing said after a brief pause, her tone suddenly serious.
