The next second, his lips tilted as he leaned close to her ear and spoke in a low, dangerous voice, "Thought I would kiss you? Ha, stop dreaming. Just touching your hand earlier already made feel utterly disgusted."
With those words, he decisively pulled away.
Zii’s face suddenly turned deathly pale, as though she had been pierced by countless arrows, feeling imnse pain.
After a long while, she slowly opened her eyes.
Her legs were weak, completely unsteady. She mustered up her strength, leaning against the wall, barely able to stand, her eyes rimd red.
In the dim space, the scent of the man seed to linger, but her heart was ice cold, and atop that coldness were several stabs that hurt deeply, so deeply.
...
Outside the bar.
Gu Moqian leaned against the car door, his suit topped with a matching trench coat, looking poised and distinguished.
"What’s Old Ye up to, taking forever to co out? Did he et a gorgeous woman and ditch us to have fun on his own?" Xi Nanfeng, seated in the driver’s seat, toyed with his beloved car but grew increasingly impatient.
Gu Moqian shot him a glare.
"I’m not allowed to rant? The two of you are practically wearing the sa pants, while you leave out here naked—it’s completely inhumane!" Xi Nanfeng grumbled.
"Let’s go."
Gu Moqian straightened up, opened the car door, and got in. "He’s here."
Xi Nanfeng glanced back and indeed saw Ye Cheng walking toward them under the night sky.
Ye Cheng opened the car door and silently got into the back seat.
From the rearview mirror, Xi Nanfeng saw his cold expression, as if soone owed him money. "What’s with the mood? Got taken advantage of by a woman?" He couldn’t help but tease.
Gu Moqian replied curtly, "Drive."
"Fine, both of you big shots are so impressive. I’m just your humble chauffeur-slash-lacky!" Xi Nanfeng said, exasperated.
"No one told you to flex by bringing out a sports car, it’s deserved." Gu Moqian added rcilessly.
"Old Mo, your words really cut deep," Xi Nanfeng eyed him, clutching his chest with mock seriousness.
"If you don’t start driving, Old Ye and I are getting out." Gu Moqian said as he reached for the door without hesitation.
"Damn it, alright, alright, I’ll drive!" Xi Nanfeng muttered as he gripped the steering wheel and started the car.
As the two in the front swapped their usual playful banter, Ye Cheng in the back remained cold and silent, not saying a word.

Gu Moqian returned to the hospital room; it was already close to ten thirty.
The lights in the room were turned off, and soft breathing could be heard from a woman.
Before he went to the bar, Gu Moqian had called Ji Wei to inform her that he might return late and told her to go to bed early.
Looks like she’s been obedient.
He tiptoed closer, standing by her bedside and quietly observing Ji Wei’s sleeping face for so ti before heading to shower.
Half an hour later, as Gu Moqian erged from the bathroom, he nearly ran into a woman with disheveled hair, wearing a long nightgown.
"Ah! Ah! Ah!"
Xia Duoduo, half-asleep and leaning against the wall, was on her way to the bathroom. Suddenly seeing a man erge from the bathroom wearing nothing but a loose robe shocked her awake.
Gu Moqian froze montarily upon seeing Xia Duoduo.
He vaguely rembered that Ji Wei ntioned on the phone that Xia Duoduo would be staying here.
"Duoduo, what’s wrong?"
Xia Duoduo’s startled scream successfully woke Ji Wei. Rubbing her sleepy eyes, she looked in their direction.
"N-nothing."
Embarrassed, Xia Duoduo tugged at her hair. She had actually woken Little Wei up! What a fool!
"Mr. Gu, are you done? I-I need to use the bathroom." She pointed behind Gu Moqian, speaking awkwardly.
Gu Moqian nodded indifferently. "Go ahead."
As though receiving amnesty, Xia Duoduo quickly hopped on one foot into the restroom and shut the door securely.
