The situation was critical. If Ji Chuyang really died here, they wouldn’t be able to explain it. One of the n in black stayed to watch him, while the other went to report to Miyata.

Upon hearing the news, Miyata rushed over. Ji Chuyang had awakened once but was still foaming at the mouth and convulsing violently.

Miyata’s expression was grim.

Though he disliked Ji Chuyang, having him die in Mr. Yamamoto’s villa would be too inauspicious.

"Soone, take Mr. Ji to the hospital!" In this situation, a stomach pump was likely needed, and the family doctor wouldn’t suffice.

Soon, Ji Chuyang was dragged out by soone.

Kaga, the driver, was sound asleep when he was suddenly woken up. Hearing that Ji Chuyang needed to be taken to the hospital, he grumbled unhappily a few tis. Just as he put on his clothes and opened the door, a hard blow struck his head. His vision went black, and he collapsed limply to the floor.

A graceful figure dragged the fallen man into the room.

A few minutes later, a figure in a black uniform and hat erged, quickly disappearing at the end of the corridor.

Seeing the "driver" co out, the two n in black waiting by the vehicle with Ji Chuyang, who was slumped between them, were clearly impatient. They cursed in Japanese.

Pulling the brim of the hat low and covering their mouth with frequent coughs, the "driver" drew disdainful glances from the two n in black. The disguised Kaga timidly pulled out the car keys and started the vehicle.

It was deep into the night. After the two n in the backseat made themselves comfortable, it wasn’t long before their snores filled the car. The drive passed in silence.

Upon arriving at the hospital, the groggy n in black dragged Ji Chuyang into the ergency room, instructing the driver to wait where he was.

The driver nodded submissively.

As soon as the two n left, the "driver" darted into the bushes nearby to hide.

Ji Wei shed the uniform and hat, tossing them into a nearby trash can, and quietly followed after them.

Ji Wei didn’t dare to get too close and instead trailed them cautiously at a distance.

She saw the n in black hand Ji Chuyang over to doctors in white coats. Keeping to the shadows, she sent the location to Gu Moqian’s phone.

Ji Chuyang, afraid of dying, hadn’t consud much rat poison. After the stomach pump, the doctors instructed that he be observed in a hospital room for a while before leaving.

The two n in black, frustrated by being dragged around late at night, smoked irritably in the hallway, oblivious to soone slipping into the patient room.

Soon, two people wearing white coats and masks erged from the room.

One of them looked noticeably weak and was being supported by the other as they walked ahead.

They took the elevator straight to the hospital’s top floor. Before stepping onto the rooftop, Ji Wei removed the white coat she was wearing.

The coat had been swiped from a rack in the on-duty room monts earlier.

The wind on the rooftop was fierce, and Ji Wei tucked her neck down against the cold.

Ji Chuyang was still wearing a white coat. He didn’t look well; his complexion was pale and weak. Having undergone a stomach pump, it was a small miracle he hadn’t completely collapsed from exhaustion.

"Is soone really coming to rescue us?"

Ji Chuyang looked at the empty rooftop, doubting that even a bird would show up, let alone help.

Ji Wei couldn’t be bothered to answer him. She checked her phone repeatedly, every so often glancing at it nervously.

Ti ticked by slowly. It had been close to twenty minutes since she sent the address.

If the n in black downstairs discovered Ji Chuyang was missing, they’d start searching everywhere. Staying on the rooftop much longer was bound to get them caught.

Just as Ji Wei felt the tension mounting inside her, the distant whirring of rotor blades drew closer. She looked up and saw a private helicopter approaching.

A look of relief spread across Ji Wei’s face. She quickly moved to the center of the rooftop, waving her arms to signal the people above.

Ji Chuyang was stunned to see a helicopter actually coming to rescue them. But the mont he saw Gu Moqian step off the now-landed helicopter, his heart suddenly sank.
