The car door opened, and a woman’s pleasant yet anxious voice ca from inside: "Quick, get in the car!"
Ye Cheng looked at that familiar beautiful face but stood there without moving.
A Cheng said, "Mr. Ye, let’s get in the car first. Yamamoto Yu’s n will catch up soon, and besides, you’re injured."
Zii saw Ye Cheng tightly covering his other arm with one hand, fresh blood continuously oozing from between his fingers. She gritted her teeth and simply jumped out of the car.
She said to A Cheng, "You sit in the front seat."
A Cheng nodded and got into the car.
Zii pulled open the back seat door and dragged the dazed Ye Cheng into the car.
"Drive!"
With Zii’s command, the car sped forward.
There was no first aid kit in the car, and Zii noticed Ye Cheng’s pale face due to blood loss, the worry between her brows visible. She simply tore a strip of cloth from her clothes, ready to make a simple bandage for Ye Cheng.
As soon as her hand reached out, Ye Cheng avoided her, his expression cold: "No need."
"You should stop the bleeding first; if it continues, you’ll faint." Zii stubbornly reached out again, forcibly bypassing his arm, tightly tying the cloth to the injured area.
Ye Cheng grunted in pain.
Zii’s hand trembled, knowing he must be in pain, she unconsciously lightened her touch.
Though she was born alluring, she had a flaw.
During the days of secret training with Lu Shanhu, she was treated no differently from other n, bearing injuries all over, she could only grit her teeth and endure it.
Gradually, she beca resilient and tough, forgetting how to be gentle.
After seeing the woman bandaged him up, Ye Cheng withdrew his arm, and distantly said, "Thank you."
Zii stared at his pale yet excessively handso face, laughing softly: "Is just a thank you enough? I saved the two of you, you know."
"How much does Boss Zi want?" Ye Cheng t her eyes, speaking coldly.
The last ti it was a hundred million, this ti she would probably want more?
Zii didn’t expect him to ask this, a flash of pain crossed her eyes but quickly disappeared as she continued to laugh softly: "Hmm, money is a must. But I also hope Mr. Ye treats a bit better, otherwise, this lifesaver is going to be very disappointed."
Ye Cheng was rendered speechless by her words.
After a mont, he finally spoke with difficulty: "I told you not to co looking for again, why won’t you listen?" His voice was sowhat hoarse.
Zii propped one hand under her chin, lifting her seductive eyes to look at him: "What’s so strange about that, I never really listened to you."
As if recalling sothing, her expression turned sowhat dazed, she paused before continuing: "The first ti we ca to Rongcheng, you said you didn’t want in a job that made publicly exposed, I didn’t listen; later, you said you didn’t want following my godfather, I didn’t listen either, and when you clearly said breaking up ant strangers, I still clung to you... I never listened to you; you must be quite angry, aren’t you?"
The way the woman spoke pierced Ye Cheng’s heart like a knife, the sudden sharp pain knitting his brows tightly.
Staring at the breathtakingly beautiful Zii in front of him, Ye Cheng spoke without emotion after a long silence: "I have no reason to be angry with a stranger."
Zii felt a lump in her throat but forced a smile and said, "Alright, if you think I’m just a stranger, then I’ll accept that. But, I’m willing to start over with you as a stranger."
Ye Cheng pulled the corner of his mouth, yet it was a mocking angle.
He pursed his lips and refrained from speaking, turning his face towards the window instead.
A strong sense of defeat caused the smile on Zii’s face to freeze. She bit her lip and fell silent as well.
