Seeing Ji Wei standing there motionless, Beichuan gathered his courage and called out from behind: "Miss Ji? Mr. Ji should be over by the backyard swimming pool."

Ji Wei snapped back to her senses, suppressed the shock in her heart, and kept walking forward without showing any emotion.

The expansive swimming pool was filled with pristine blue water, rippling under the morning mist.

Ji Chuyang was wearing only swim trunks, swimming back and forth in the pool. Having yet to see the two won arrive, he was starting to feel irritated. Leaning against the edge of the pool, he was just about to shout when he lifted his eyes and saw the two figures walking in.

Ji Wei!

Ji Chuyang lifted his hand and fervently wiped his face. After wiping the water from his eyes, he stared again to confirm.

No mistake—it was Ji Wei!

"You—you—you... How are you here?" Ji Chuyang’s face changed dramatically; he nearly slipped off the pool’s edge into the water and was trembling even as he spoke, almost as if he’d seen a ghost.

Ji Wei glanced at Beichuan behind her.

Beichuan spoke up: "Mr. Yamamoto agreed for Miss Ji to co. Mr. Ji, shouldn’t you get out? It doesn’t seem very polite to et Miss Ji like this."

Ji Chuyang’s face was filled with shock.

Why would Yamamoto Yu allow Ji Wei to co?

He knew perfectly well that Ji Wei and Gu Moqian were the exact people Ji Chuyang was trying to avoid!

If Ji Wei found him, wouldn’t he be dood?

Seeing Ji Chuyang standing pale and motionless in the pool, dark yellow circles shadowing his eyes, he looked disheveled and indulgent beyond reason. Ji Wei walked forward to the pool’s edge, looking down at him, eyes sharp, and said: "Hiding like a turtle in soone else’s house—how clever of you, Ji Chuyang."

Being compared to a turtle, Ji Chuyang’s face turned livid.

Shocked, he released his grip on the pool’s edge and retreated into the water: "You... You get out! I don’t want to see you!"

"You don’t want to see ? Do you even have the luxury of choice as a caged bird?" Ji Wei sneered.

Ji Chuyang’s lips trembled fiercely; the haughty arrogance once radiating from him had long vanished. When his gaze t Ji Wei’s, all that remained was fear and cowardice.

Ji Wei turned back and said to Beichuan: "Can I speak with him alone?"

Mr. Yamamoto hadn’t explicitly forbidden it, so after a few seconds of hesitation, Beichuan nodded and left.

The large swimming pool was now left with only Ji Chuyang and Ji Wei.

Ji Wei’s expression grew increasingly tense. She fixed her eyes on Ji Chuyang and spoke coldly: "I have questions for you. You’d best answer honestly."

Ji Chuyang was made uneasy by her solemn tone. "Ask whatever you want—quickly!"

Ji Wei crouched by the pool’s edge, gazing at the pale man soaking in the water just a ter away, and said seriously: "Are you... impotent?"

Ji Chuyang hadn’t expected her opening question to touch the most unbearable secret of his life. His face imdiately turned the color of pig liver, and he barked feebly: "What nonsense are you talking about? I’m a man—it’s impossible for to be impotent!"

His protests clearly reeked of denial.

Ji Wei was now eighty to ninety percent certain; he did indeed have a problem!

For so reason, she felt an inexplicable relief.

The child from her previous life wasn’t Ji Chuyang’s. She hadn’t actually had a substantive relationship with this scumbag! For Ji Wei, this was nothing short of a miraculous stroke of fortune.

This kind of sleazy man, overly indulgent in lust—they deserved such a judgnt!

Ji Wei rose, staring down at him with icy eyes: "Your denial ans nothing. I already know the truth." She said, "That night on my birthday when you drugged —it was just for show, wasn’t it? Because you don’t work! Ji Chuyang, heaven is fair; for scum like you, this kind of retribution is far too lenient."
