Zii reached up to rub her temples, but no matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t rember what had happened.

Just then, the butler knocked on the door, "Miss, may I co in?"

"Hold on a second!"

Zii quickly got up, changed into her loungewear, and then went over to open the door.

The butler handed her the honey water he was holding.

Zii brought the cup to her lips and suddenly asked, "Uncle Chen, I seed to have drunk too much last night. Did anything happen?"

The butler didn’t hide anything and said directly, "Mr. Ye ca to see you. But you were quite drunk at the ti and didn’t seem to recognize him."

Fragnts of images flashed through Zii’s mind, as if a man who looked a lot like Ye Cheng had appeared.

She had always thought it was just sothing out of her imagination, but it turned out to be him!

"I didn’t do anything shocking, did I?" Zii asked sowhat guiltily.

The butler pulled his lips into a smile and said against his heart, "No, you didn’t."

If he told her about climbing up the balcony and acting out drunk, she wouldn’t be able to handle it.

"Did I take a bath and go to sleep by myself?" Zii thought of the towel she found herself wrapped in earlier and asked again.

She really couldn’t rember anything after blacking out from drinking last night.

"Mr. Ye... helped," the butler said, glancing at Zii with a subtle look.

Ye Cheng helped her take a bath!!

Zii’s hand shook, nearly spilling the water from the cup.

So he saw her completely!

Zii’s face turned bright red in an instant, her inner emotions roiling, but she calmly said, "I see, you can go now."

She turned stiffly and walked forward blankly.

Ye Cheng actually helped her bathe?

This was sothing Zii never dared to imagine. It was just too intense. She needed ti to process it.

There was one thing she couldn’t figure out. She had clearly told Ye Cheng via text ssage that she was ready to let go, so why did he co to her place?

Did he have sothing he wanted to say to her?

Zii regretted drinking so much yesterday.

After such an incident, there was no way she could stay there. After breakfast, Zii drove to Xinghui Entertainnt.

She wanted to ask Ye Cheng face-to-face what he had intended to tell her yesterday.

However, when she arrived, the receptionist told her that Ye Cheng had flown abroad for business and wouldn’t be back for at least a week.

Not seeing Ye Cheng made Zii feel sowhat disappointed.

...

During the week he was away, Zii went to No.13, Binhai Road every night.

She sat in her car, gazing from a distance at the direction of Ye Cheng’s apartnt. Although the lights hadn’t been on there for several consecutive nights, just looking at the place where he lived cald Zii’s mood considerably.

Even though she had texted him about letting go, Zii knew deep down she couldn’t really do it.

At the mont, Zii had her elbow resting by the car window, a woman’s cigarette between her fingers, while her other hand flipped through the contacts on her phone.

The screen darkened, then she pressed it to light up again, repeatedly hesitating, unable to make the decision to call Ye Cheng.

After a month’s pause, Zii Club was about to reopen.

Busy with preparations for the reopening in recent days, Zii temporarily put her thoughts about Ye Cheng aside.

On the day of the grand opening, Lu Shanhu brought her many bouquets and invited nurous friends to support the event, leading to a lively scene and a record-breaking turnover for the evening.

With the club back in operation, Zii beca even more occupied, and even though more than a week had passed, she hadn’t reached out to Ye Cheng.

Until one day, while dining with Lu Shanhu, his black-clad subordinate A Chu suddenly entered and reported sothing to Lu Shanhu in a low voice.

Lu Shanhu appeared unruffled, but Zii still caught a flicker of astonishnt in his eyes.

After A Chu left, Zii couldn’t help but ask, "Godfather, what happened?"
