Knowing she suggested bathing together so recklessly only because she was drunk, Ye Cheng uncharacteristically didn’t frown. He walked to the bathtub to adjust the water temperature for her.
"You’re agreeing to bathe with ?" Seeing him running the bathwater, Zii stumbled and stopped behind him, a joyful smile playing at her lips.
Ye Cheng glanced back at her and spoke blandly, "Once the water’s ready, I’m leaving."
"We’re both adults, are you getting shy?" Zii covered her mouth and laughed coyly.
The woman’s eyes were dreamy yet clear as she gazed at him seductively. Ye Cheng paused for a mont, turned away, and stayed silent.
Zii was completely different when drunk, shedding her usual assertiveness and appearing as an adorable young girl. Faced with this, Ye Cheng found himself sowhat at a loss.
Seeing Ye Cheng’s silence, Zii wobbled and said, "Alright then, I’ll just bathe by myself."
With that, she began to take off her nightgown.
When Ye Cheng turned back after setting the bathwater, Zii was only in her underwear.
Seeing her standing there in just her underwear, Ye Cheng imdiately felt a tightness in his lower abdon, and he quickly averted his gaze.
His heart inexplicably skipped a beat.
He used to love holding Zii as they slept; her skin was as white as snow, smooth like satin, sothing he was quite enchanted by.
"I’m leaving."
Suddenly feeling unbearably hot, Ye Cheng spoke hastily and left the bathroom in large strides. Even after closing the bathroom door, he was still slightly out of breath, his phoenix eyes dark and deep.

Zii was completely imrsed in the bathtub.
The warm environnt combined with the effects of alcohol made her fall asleep before long.
Half an hour, an hour...
Ti passed slowly, yet Zii did not co out.
Ye Cheng, who had not left imdiately out of concern, glanced up at the tightly closed bathroom door.
Could she have fallen asleep in the bath? After drinking so much, to the point of not recognizing anyone, it was definitely possible.
Ye Cheng finally couldn’t resist and pushed open the bathroom door.
The bathroom was filled with steam, a wave of heat hit him face-on.
Amidst the milky white mist, he saw the woman’s snow-white body soaking in the bathtub, her beautiful face resting against the tub’s edge, as she slept away.
Her cheeks were flushed red from the steam, her rosy lips slightly parted, sleeping soundly. Her delicate body subrged in the water made alluring glimpses against the mist, becoming even more captivating.
Ye Cheng averted his head restrainedly, picked up a towel from the rack, and wrapped Zii in it, lifting her out of the bathtub.
He carried her to the bed with gentle movents and laid her down.
Seeing that Zii’s hair was slightly damp, Ye Cheng went to find a hairdryer.
The hairdryer humd softly as the man dried her hair, while Zii continued to sleep deeply.
After finishing everything, Ye Cheng quietly watched the beautiful sleeping woman on the bed. After a long while, he slowly leaned down and whispered in her ear, "Thank you."
Thank you for saving his good friend.
No matter that their relationship was irretrievably gone, he still wanted to thank her.
"Mmm..."
Zii murmured. In her drowsiness, she heard the man’s voice but couldn’t make out what those words were.
"Forget , and live well." The man’s voice was surprisingly gentle.
The woman on the bed furrowed her brows uneasily upon hearing this.
Ye Cheng did not look at her anymore and turned over to leave.
He closed the door and left.
Zii slept till dawn.
With a splitting headache, she opened her eyes and sat up, supporting herself.
However, as soon as she moved, the white towel slipped off her chest. She stared dumbfounded at the towel, a bit astonished.
Why was she sleeping wrapped in a towel?
