Chapter 33: Chapter 33 Beta’s jealousy

Victoria’s POV

"What’s your relationship with Damian?" Katherine narrowed her eyes and glared at .

I could feel my wolf Nora bristling beneath my skin. She didn’t like this territorial display from a beta female who clearly thought she owned the place.

Since her tone was unfriendly, I didn’t need to show any goodwill either. I curved my lips into a provocative smile. "So curious? Why don’t you go ask Damian yourself?"

Her angry sweet scent hit my nostrils as she clenched her fists.

"I’ve seen many won like you," she snarled. "Do you really think soone like you could attract an Alpha’s attention?"

Faced with her hostility, I remained completely calm. "Why do you care so much? What business is it of yours?"

"I’m just warning you for your own good," she snapped, anger rolling off her in waves. "Nothing good cos from opposing the Sterlings. An oga like you, he wouldn’t give you a second glance. You’d better leave. Now."

Wouldn’t give

a second glance? Really?

I couldn’t help but recall images of Damian kissing every inch of my skin.

After a mont of silence, I said: "The one who won’t get a second glance is you, isn’t it? That’s why my presence makes you insecure, even though I’m not currently doing anything."

My deliberate provocation worked. She grabbed her phone, knuckles white. "Security, co to the developnt departnt imdiately. There’s a crazy woman who needs to be thrown out of the building!"

"Throw

out, and your Alpha will have to personally invite

back," I said, keeping my voice steady.

Several security guards arrived quickly, addressing her respectfully. "Miss Watson."

She pointed directly at . "Her. Throw her out."

"Ma’am, please co with us," one guard said politely.

Katherine’s voice beca shrill. "Didn’t you hear what I said? I said throw her out!"

How rude and impolite!

"Is this how

Company treats visitors?" I asked coldly.

"Miss Watson, this doesn’t seem right. I heard she’s a she-wolf invited by the CEO," an employee whispered, bravely speaking up.

"Did I ask for your opinion?" Katherine roared.

The guards looked uncomfortable but moved toward . Pack hierarchy was strong—they wouldn’t disobey a beta.

I nodded slightly. "I suppose I’ll have to ask Damian personally what kind of establishnt he’s running."

I reached for my phone, and Katherine lunged forward trying to snatch it from my hands. The move was so unexpected that I almost let my instincts take over—which would have been catastrophic for her. But just as the tension reached its peak, the elevator doors slid open.

A man in an impeccable suit stepped out: "What’s happening here?"

"Jeff, nothing important," Katherine’s tone completely changed. "Just a deranged woman who sohow got up here. I’m having security escort her out."

This man—clearly another beta in Blood Moon Pack’s hierarchy—frowned deeply. "Release her imdiately. Miss Lancaster is the Alpha’s honored guest."

The security guards released . Katherine looked extrely displeased.

"Miss Lancaster, please co this way." Jeff was extrely respectful.

I sneered: "If I’m really an honored guest, is throwing guests out normal practice here? I think Damian should personally explain this to ."

"Of course," the secretary nodded. "This way, please."

I entered the elevator, feeling Katherine’s shocked gaze following . But she couldn’t do anything about it.

When we reached the top floor, Jeff knocked on the imposing double doors.

"Co in," ca Damian’s deep, authoritative voice.

"Alpha, Miss Lancaster has arrived," Jeff announced before politely closing the door behind .

The spacious office was bathed in soft light, mixed with the blue glow from his computer screen. This highlighted the intense angles of his face—that dangerously handso face.

Damian sat behind his desk, the sleeves of his pristine white shirt rolled up to reveal powerful forearms. His pen moved with swift confidence across docunts. Even in this mundane setting, he radiated Alpha energy.

He looked up, set down his pen, and leaned back in his chair with predatory grace. His eyes locked onto mine with an intensity that made Nora restlessly stir within .

"Well, little she-wolf," he said, a hint of a smirk on his lips. "I know my company is large, but surely you didn’t get lost?"

I threw his clothes onto his desk, anger burning. "You played !"

"How exactly did I do that?" Damian asked, clearly enjoying my reaction.

"You’re the Alpha of Blood Moon Pack. Why didn’t you tell

earlier?" I demanded.

His voice maintained that infuriatingly calm tone. "You never asked. Is that my fault?"

I had no good response. He was right—I hadn’t asked. When I saw him at the restaurant, I assud it was a coincidence and even wanted him to leave quickly.

But in the car, when he asked where I worked, he was testing . When Kane arranged the eting on behalf of Lancaster Company, Damian must have suspected my identity.

As if confirming my thoughts, he asked: "So, why did you arrange to et

at that restaurant, Miss Lancaster?"

"I... I’m not Miss Lancaster!" I tried to deny it one last ti.

"I’m just an employee of Lancaster Company. I accompanied my boss to et you," I lied quickly.

"Is that so?" Damian’s eyes narrowed slightly, his expression not revealing whether he believed .

"You don’t really think I’m the Lancaster heir, the future Alpha of Crescent Dawn Pack, do you?" I challenged directly.

His smile deepened as he lazily leaned back in his chair, his gaze penetrating as if he could see through my deception.

I couldn’t read his thoughts, so I tried another approach. "If I really were the Lancaster heir, would I give Ethan Sterling, that scheming little snake, any ti of day?"

"Who knows? Maybe Miss Lancaster has unique taste."

I gave up. The more I protested, the more guilty I sounded. Sotis silence was the best defense.

"I’ve delivered your clothes. If there’s nothing else, I should go," I said, turning to leave.

Just then, soone knocked on the glass door, but before Damian could respond, Katherine Watson burst into the office.

"Alpha, don’t be deceived by her!" she exclaid.
