"Phoebe Lawson is the chief perfur of Miss. Before she went to work for Nirvana, she ca to and said she would help take down Nirvana. Before Nirvana collapses, she is willing to work without any salary. The only condition is that I cannot interfere with anything she does," Rhonda Sullivan confessed. "So, I can’t give you what you want. I have no record of transactions with her. She’s not even officially an employee of Miss."

Ruby Sullivan didn’t believe her words, but if these were lies Rhonda Sullivan made up, they would be too unbelievable.

Rhonda Sullivan had already said everything she knew. "I don’t want to cause trouble. If you think it’s necessary, I can terminate all cooperation with Phoebe Lawson imdiately." She hesitated for a mont and then said resolutely, "I can consider shutting down Miss."

Ruby Sullivan was quite surprised by her last statent. Didn’t she open a competing fragrance company just to spite her? Now that she’s tasted success, she’s actually saying she won’t continue?

"Just because of that video?" Ruby Sullivan frowned and couldn’t help but say, "If a man can’t accept the real you, then the two of you won’t last long together."

"Are you lecturing or cursing ?"

"Think whatever you want."

Rhonda Sullivan pressed her lips, then stood up, "I have an appointnt to dine with Jack, so I’ll head out first." But after taking a few steps, she couldn’t help but turn back, "I’m not afraid of Jack seeing that video at all, but I don’t want him to beco a laughingstock on the internet. Even if he doesn’t mind, his parents might."

She originally wanted to mock Ruby Sullivan a bit, because of her, Ethan Sterling had beco a joke to others too often. But she held back, just like her current thought - not wanting to stir up trouble. For her marriage, for Jack, she’s willing to give up all contention and just live her own peaceful life.

Love had smoothed out all her edges, and she was willing to be smoothed out.

She thought she could obtain evidence from Rhonda Sullivan, but unexpectedly, she ca up empty again.

Ruby Sullivan initially simply thought that Zoe did all this for the money. Unexpectedly, her entry into Nirvana was a conspiracy. How much must she hate her to waste ti plotting, risking ruining her own future to do such a thing?

She couldn’t understand; only Zoe could give her the answer, but she didn’t want to find out.

On the way ho, Ruby Sullivan felt sowhat disheartened. Every ti she confidently aid to solve sothing, reality would hit back with a cold bucket of water.

As she approached the neighborhood, her phone rang. It was L calling.

Ruby Sullivan frowned, imdiately feeling suspicious. Did L have a hand in this incident again? Hadn’t he given up on trying to ss with her? She anxiously answered the phone, "What is it?"

"Have Ethan Sterling stop his current suicidal actions imdiately. The approach of harming the enemy by a thousand while hurting oneself by eight hundred is taboo in business; one careless move, and the losses can exceed his expectations!" L’s voice was cold and filled with hidden anger.

Ruby Sullivan was confused as she connected Ethan Sterling’s sudden move with Rhonda Sullivan’s words, frowning as she asked, "Did you plant the mole in Nirvana?"

On the other end, L rolled his eyes dramatically. Did she actually suspect him of placing a mole in Nirvana, looking down on him?

"I trained you for this. Do you think I need to plant a mole in your company? Wait until your revenue matches a fraction of The Lawson Group’s before indulging in such fantasies." With that, L hung up the phone.

Ruby Sullivan frowned even more deeply, but upon recollection, L’s words were rough but made sense.

She didn’t know what "foolish thing" Ethan Sterling was doing behind her back, but she believed L wasn’t wrong. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have called her.

In fact, L wasn’t worried about the Sterling Group but rather didn’t want to engage in a pointless struggle with them, letting others gain the benefit from their fight.

Ruby Sullivan thought that the first thing to do when she got ho was to call Ethan Sterling. But the mont she stepped inside, the first thing she saw was Ethan Sterling, wearing Mama Bennett’s floral apron, opening the door for her.

"You’re back." Ethan Sterling greeted her with a broad smile, leaning in to give her a light kiss on the lips. "I’m cooking. You can rest for a bit, and it will be ready soon." After saying this, he turned and walked back to the kitchen.

Ethan Sterling cooking?

Ruby Sullivan felt like she was dreaming. She quickly changed her shoes and followed him into the kitchen. Mama Bennett and Owen Fulton were sitting in the living room, watching TV. They said that Mr. Sterling wouldn’t let them into the kitchen, not even to help with prepping ingredients.

On the table were already two homade dishes: a scrambled egg with tomatoes where the egg was crumbled into pieces and potato strips with a burnt flavor.

Ruby Sullivan looked at the dishes on the table and was at a loss for words, quickly heading to the kitchen.

The stead flatfish was about to be served. Ethan Sterling was earnestly heating the sauce. If it didn’t burn, it would probably be the most successful dish of the day.

Just as this thought flashed through her mind, Ruby Sullivan caught a whiff of a faint burnt sll.

Ethan Sterling was using high heat for the sauce, so before she could warn him, the burnt sll beca stronger. He muttered "Oops" and hurriedly turned off the heat.

He had been focused on his task until he realized soone was at the kitchen door. Seeing it was Ruby Sullivan, he put on a composed expression, "I think my cooking isn’t too bad."

Ruby Sullivan nodded, "I can sll the aroma. I’ll go out and wait then."

She looked at Mr. Sterling’s serious deanor, like the emperor admiring his new clothes, acting elegant even if nothing was visible. But she didn’t have the heart to expose him, because regardless of how his cooking turned out, his presence in the kitchen was quite handso.

After leaving the kitchen, Ruby Sullivan felt so excited that she wanted to jump up and down, regretting not capturing the mont with a cara. But when she returned, Ethan Sterling was already preparing to serve the fish.

The fact is, Mr. Sterling isn’t adept at everything,

For instance, kitchen tasks don’t really suit him. Though he can rember a recipe after seeing it once, reproducing it is almost impossible.

To celebrate their father’s first ti cooking, the two kids and Ruby Sullivan were very supportive, repeatedly saying that dad’s cooking was delicious. Mama Bennett and Owen Fulton had expressions that were hard to describe.

However, there was one praiseworthy point: every dish was thoroughly cooked.

After putting the kids to bed, Ruby Sullivan took the initiative to invite Mr. Sterling to stay over, which he was more than happy to do. He went downstairs imdiately to get a change of clothes from his car.

To ensure he could stay over anyti, Ethan Sterling kept a spare set of clothes in the car.

When they got in bed to sleep, Ruby Sullivan couldn’t help but ask him why he suddenly wanted to cook.

Holding her, Ethan Sterling chuckled, "Because soone said that there’s no problem that can’t be solved with a good al. If there is, have more to eat." Then he planted a kiss on her cheek, "I know my cooking isn’t great now, but I’ll work hard to learn."

"Thank you." Ruby Sullivan held onto his hand, which was wrapped around her chest, feeling warm inside.
