....

Another week had passed.

Arthur had begun to grow accustod to Academy life. Or to be more precise, he beca more accustod to teaching those who were growing accustod to academy life from observing others do it.

Even though the instructors didn't like his presence, once they started teaching it would be disrespectful to ask him to leave.

Even the students didn't appreciate his presence, especially the second years.

But even then, he stayed for one reason.

He hadn't started teaching yet.

Three lectures on Monday, one of which was for mages, one for assassins, and one for magic engineering.

Two lectures on Tuesday, one for mages while the other was for assassins.

On Wednesdays it was the for mages and magic engineering.

Thursdays was the sa as Monday, except they were in a different order.

Fridays was the only day in which he was free.

Naturally, because of the tests, the first year students were officially starting today.

However, his main focus wasn't on that.

'So he's still not here.'

The supposed main character, the player character was nowhere to be found.

After not seeing him during the test, or even around the Academy grounds, he ca to realize that the boy might not actually be here.

And now.

Magic Studies Departnt:

1. Ezra Ashford.

2. Celestine Vaelthorne.

....

29. Lucas Wycliffe

The player character wasn't among the list.

At first Arthur had considered the possibility that the boy had missed the test, but if he had he would have taken the sa test under the guide of another instructor.

But there was nothing.

Almost like he wasn't here.

The player character's first na could be changed, however, his last na couldn't as it was important in the storyline.

Now, there was nothing even remotely similar to the boy's last na.

'Could it be?'

Arthur thought.

That the boy wasn't here?

Or to be more precise, the player character was gone?

Due to the mories he had gotten, Arthur was aware of so brands were people reincarnated, however the hero of said world would be gone.

'Is it the sa here?'

That seed like the only plausible explanation right now.

"Haah."

Arthur let out a sigh, then turned his attention to the assassin section.

Assassin Studies Departnt:

1. Roselyn Aurelion.

....

30. Ezra Ashford.

In this part, nothing changed.

At least to Arthur's knowledge. From what he knew, Ezra would either rank at the bottom of the list, or soone else would be below him.

It didn't really matter.

He walked away from the ranking boards.

'It doesn't really matter.'

He thought.

'His presence would only be required for the developnt of the main cast and for the progression of the main acts as well.'

If there was no player to help with the main cast grow stronger....

He as their professor would help them.

There was nothing more to it, and there was nothing less as well.

The only problem was how to go about it.

'I actually have no idea.'

His hand went to the door of the office as he thought.

"Ah."

As he opened the door he was greeted by an unfamiliar sight.

"What are you doing here?"

A woman was inside.

However, it wasn't just any woman.

She was a professor at the academy, the professor that had left without giving her speech, forcing Arthur to take it instead.

"I- I...."

Like a criminal caught in the act, she stamred over her words.

She quickly regained herself and walked over to him.

"The second year professor, the sorcerer one, asked to bring so files over for you."

"Professor Rex?"

"Yes."

"Which files?"

"I left them on your desk."

With those words she walked out of the office, her steps brisk as she quickly went out of sight.

"You could have made a better excuse. Nobody would believe you if they caught you searching for sothing instead of what you claid."

He said, but she couldn't hear him as she was gone.

She was so startled that she forgot to look at him angrily and practically ran away.

He walked into his office and went in the direction of the desk.

It wasn't hard to find what had been brought to him.

Then, he went to the lockers of the desk.

'As I thought.'

She had been looking for sothing.

He quietly arranged it.

'Dirt?'

That seed most likely.

But, finding dirt on him wasn't hard. It was incredibly easy for even commoners to find dirt on him.

And many tis in the past when he wasn't in control of his body, many filed cases against him while others brought his cris to light.

If they had succeeded, he wouldn't be a professor at this university, nor would he still have the title of noble.

'She was most likely looking for sothing strong.'

Sothing that would force even the king to take action against him.

'Does she do this often?'

He thought.

The spirit who had taken over his body would have noticed if she did, and if she was noticed she would be hesitant to do it the next ti.

'But, considering that she was sent here, she probably used this as an excuse to go into the office, so she'd have an excuse if she was caught.'

That seed plausible to him right now.

'To be sure, I'll have to et him later.'

Rex was also a professor, though he taught both the second and third years. From what the man had told him last ti they spoke, that was when he was looking for the headmaster's office, he was in charge of the warriors.

That made sense considering that the sorcerer class was a combination of the warrior class and the mage class.

"Ah."

He said loudly.

'I almost forgot what I ca here to do.'

When he had gone to check the rankings, his first class was starting in half-an-hour.

"I should still have soti left."

After muttering that to himself he quickly brought out his notes.

"Magic Fundantals."

That was the na of what they would go over.

He had already made sure that there would be a test on the topic.

It wouldn't be too hard for the students to solve.

When he was done, Arthur quickly took a pair of black finger-less gloves from the table and wore them on.

"Done."

With those words, he locked he door of his office-

And vanished.
