Seeing the glaring eyes of his elder brother, Qin Zhen touched his head and hurriedly sat down, cautiously asking, "What’s wrong?"

Li Xianglu said, "Where did you get these two bottles? Explain in detail."

Qin Zhen thought for a mont and said, "I got it near the nunnery, the second house. Nana and I didn’t even shout out; we just rode our bike and were about to head back when soone called out to us, asking if we wanted to buy stuff."

Li Xianglu frowned, "A man or a woman?"

Qin Zhen replied, "A man with a lot of beard, covering half of his face, and particularly long eyebrows, just like Grandpa Li’s."

Mr. Li’s eyebrows were long and drooped at the temples, resembling the God of Longevity from the New Year paintings, benevolent and kindly in appearance. But people with such features were rare, Li Xianglu hadn’t seen anyone with eyebrows like Grandpa’s before, and there was Qin Zhen encountering one while collecting junk.

Li Xianglu then saw that Grandpa Li’s expression had turned even gloomier, and quickly went over to pat his back, "Grandpa, what’s wrong?"

Mr. Li continued to ask, "Big bearded, long eyebrows, was his clothing also different?"

Qin Zhen’s eyes widened in surprise. Could it be that Mr. Li was following them? But he still seriously answered, "Yes, he was wearing clothes like those of the Miao people, made of coarse fabric, and had a cloth wrapped around his head."

Mr. Li closed his eyes for a long ti before opening them and said to Qin Xi, "Qin Xi, take soone to check it out, see if the person is still there."

As Qin Xi stood up, he asked, "What if they are?"

Mr. Li pondered for a mont and said, "They probably won’t be. Go take a look first."

Qin Xi nodded to Li Xianglu and then left with Qin Zhen.

anwhile, Mr. Li looked at the bottles in his hand, carefully examining them from top to bottom, then sighed, stood up, and went to make a phone call.

Li Xianglu was really worried, what exactly was going on? Could it be an old acquaintance of Grandpa?

After making the call, Li Huai Ren just sat in the chair, staring at the two bottles without saying a word.

Li Xianglu leaned forward and asked carefully, "Grandpa, what’s wrong? Did soone co?"

Mr. Li looked at his granddaughter and sighed, "Yes, soone has co."

Li Xianglu curiously asked, "An old acquaintance?"

Li Huai Ren nodded, "An old acquaintance." He just didn’t know what they had co back for this ti. The things in his possession had already been taken by Ah Yin to the United States to develop. There wasn’t anything left that could be lingering on their minds.

Half an hour later, Zhou Qinxi and Qin Zhen returned, shaking their heads as they entered, "It’s empty, not a soul there."

Qin Zhen was puzzled and sat drinking tea, gasping for breath, "This is bizarre, the neighbors said that house had always been empty." At this thought, Qin Zhen felt goosebumps all over, a chill running down his spine, and he couldn’t help saying, "Jianqing, we didn’t encounter a ghost, did we?"

Li Xianglu rolled her eyes, "What ghost? It’s broad daylight; soone is playing tricks!"

Ah, soone dared to fool with Grandpa Li! Qin Zhen’s eyes bulged in anger; these years he had been forced into a corner, and now soone had co looking for trouble. They should just wait for the retribution that was coming their way!

Qin Xi slapped his younger brother, who was about to stand up, "Sit down nicely. The train ticket for the day after tomorrow is already bought; you and Jianqing go to school properly, and don’t worry about anything else!"

Jianqing had originally been sleeping on the bed and woke up during Li Xianglu and Mr. Li’s conversation. He didn’t know what was going on, so he grabbed his cane and ca over to check.

Mr. Li made a decision, "Alright, don’t worry about it, prepare for the start of school. I’m going to lie down for a bit. We are expecting guests at ho soon, Xiao Xiang, you and Qin Xi clear out a room for them."

Guests coming? Li Xianglu was about to ask when she saw Mr. Li’s unsteady return to the room.

Currently, only six rooms were tidied up at ho. Her room and Qin Xi’s had been combined, Grandpa had one large room, and two more were made into a living room and dining room. At the very end, there were three rooms, almost all used as storage.

Qin Xi told Li Xianglu, "I’ll go find a couple of blankets; you check the east chamber in the third courtyard."

Li Xianglu nodded behind Qin Xi’s back. It was just about her storing so unused items in the Storage Ring, and it was good to keep out of the way.

When Qin Xi ca back carrying sheets and a cool mat, the room was left with only two beds and two nightstands, and there were palm mats on the beds.

Qin Xi surveyed the room, set the items down, and then started to clean the room with water he brought over, while Li Xianglu had finished making the beds and sat down. She asked, "What exactly is going on? Grandpa, what’s happening? I just asked him; he said it was an old acquaintance."

Qin Xi put down the linen he was holding and looked at Li Xianglu, who was sitting on the bed looking very worried, and said smilingly, "It’s nothing; maybe it really is just an old acquaintance."

Li Xianglu didn’t believe it for a second. She was asking Qin Xi, hoping he might know sothing about the past lives, about what exactly was happening and who this old acquaintance was.

And sure enough, Li Xianglu guessed right. Seeing Mr. Li’s uneasy deanor and a series of reactions, Qin Xi thought of soone.

This person had appeared in their past life, but with Li Xianglu being the variable this ti around, the sa events from the past life shouldn’t occur. Yet, even so, he had to be cautious. He had called for people to keep watch around the clock, checking for any suspicious individuals approaching the place.

But the timing was really bad. School was starting in six days. It would be sowhat safer in school, but what about Mr. Li? However, it was sowhat of a relief that two people were arranged to co over; the higher-ups would definitely send ard personnel to ensure safety.

Just as the two had finished tidying up the room, Qin Zhen rushed over calling for them.

They promptly went to the front, and as soon as Li Xianglu arrived at the front courtyard, she saw two familiar faces and exclaid in surprise, "Tian Tian? Lin Dongxue?"

The two were dressed differently from their school days, in simple white short sleeves and black trousers, each carrying a green canvas bag. They didn’t seem surprised to see Li Xianglu. Lin Dongxue, as always indifferent, just nodded in greeting, while Tian Tian smiled and said, "We et again!"

Li Xianglu also smiled, relieved it was two acquaintances, so she led them to the back yard. Lin Dongxue surveyed the place and frowned, "No good, too far from the front yard."

Tian Tian nodded in agreent, "Indeed, it’s a bit too far. Could we stay closer?"

Li Xianglu replied, "There’s a room that will be free after the day after tomorrow in the middle. Will that work?"

Tian Tian still shook her head, "No, for now, staying in the living room is fine. Once the middle room is free, we can move there."

Li Xianglu thought that was a good idea too. She would just arrange for her brother to stay with Qin Zhen.
