Chapter 17: Chapter 17 Stop Talking Nonsense
“You…” Gu Zhihan was about to say sothing else when the bathroom door opened again, and his mother returned with her head peeking in, threatening, “Gu Zhihan, you better nicely accompany your wife for a bath, or else you can forget about buying you any more Olympiad math practice problems!”
Gu Zhihan was utterly exasperated. Other parents couldn’t wait to drown their child in practice problems, yet here was his, using them as a threat.
However, the threat worked!
“Got it.” Gu Zhihan grudgingly agreed for the sake of his practice problems.
“Then I won’t interrupt your lovey-dovey bath. Rember to soak longer and try to apply the mugwort on your body—it’ll keep your skin from itching for a whole year,” his mother advised as she closed the door.
Soaking in mugwort to reduce itching is a tradition during the Dragon Boat Festival, but undeniably, it does help with itchy skin.
“Okay, godmom!” Unlike Gu Zhihan’s irritation, ngng sweetly responded.
During the bath, ngng noticed sothing different about Gu Zhihan’s body compared to hers.
It was not their first ti bathing together, but reaching the age of one or two is a milestone, and so is reaching the age of three or four, which multiplies a child’s curiosity many tis over.

“Hubby, why is there an extra piece here, could it be a tumor?” ngng hesitated before asking with a worried gaze.
ngng knew about “tumors” because she had visited her great-grandma in the hospital last year, who was admitted due to a tumor.
Although his didn’t seem quite like the one great-grandma had!
“Can you not talk nonsense!”
Gu Zhihan felt like he was going to spit blood upon hearing this and quickly grabbed a towel from the rack to cover himself, blocking her curious and worried gaze.
“Hubby, I think you should get it removed at the hospital as soon as possible. It could be dangerous; it might turn into cancer,” ngng genuinely feared for his health, so she kept advising him incessantly.
Because her great-grandma initially didn’t take her condition seriously, and it ended up becoming cancerous…

Gu Zhihan couldn’t stand it anymore; wrapping himself in a towel, he quickly climbed out of the bathtub with a dark face.
“Hubby!? Aren’t you bathing anymore?” ngng sat in the tub looking dazed as she watched his hurried retreat.
Why run so fast? Could it be that there are ghosts?
ngng had no idea that to Gu Zhihan’s eyes, she was a thousand tis more terrifying than any ghost!
As for the bath, what bath? Seeing her eagerness, he was truly scared he might end up under her knife then and there.
“What happened to you?” Gu’s mother, who was passing by the bathroom, happened to see her son fleeing and couldn’t help but ask.
“Go ask Luo ngng, that rascal!” Gu Zhihan turned to glance at his own mother, squeezing a few words out through clenched teeth.
“What exactly happened?” Gu’s mother, still clueless, pushed open the door and walked into the bathroom. While washing ngng, she asked gleefully, “ngng, what did you do? Why does Hanhan look so terrified?”
It was rare for her to see her son in such a disheveled state, ahahaha!
“I don’t know…” ngng first shook her head blankly, then relayed the entire incident to Gu’s mother.
After hearing it, Gu’s mother almost burst out laughing.
