Chapter 154: My Turn
My body started falling deeper into the water, and I couldn’t move. My heart hurts more than my body.

I watch as the light from above started moving farther away from . Night was probably fighting all of them at once, and he pushed
so that I could escape alone. He protected
even after all that. Like how he promised, he protected
with all his might... but who protects him? Who will save him when he’s in danger?

I’m starting to lose oxygen which made
desperately swim towards the surface. I can’t die here. If I die here, Night’s efforts to protect
will all co to waste.
When I got onto the surface, I could feel the huge waves crashing into
making it harder to catch my breath. It’s really different when you got used to swimming in calm water from a pool. My breathing grew heavier as I tried to find my way to the shore. Just trying to not be swayed by the waves is hard, but because of the bright light from the sun, I saw the sand from the shore sparkling.
I can do this, I’m going to save myself, and save Night.
I dived into the water after taking a deep breath. It’ll be easier to swim in the water than keep trying to fight the huge waves above. Without my goggles, the seawater stings my eyes, but who am I to complain? It might just be due to the adrenaline rush but I know my body fell hard and it’ll start hurting soon, so before that happen, I need to save myself.
With desperation, I kicked my legs and swung my hands until I could feel them cramping up. Despite that, my body didn’t stop, and the pain didn’t hurt .

That thought lingered inside my head as I desperately reached for the shore. The mont I could feel my feet touching the sand, I rushed towards the shore, staggering with my eyes getting all blurry. "N-Night." I tried to run, but the mont I got out of the water, my head felt fuzzy and I imdiately fell to the ground.

When I opened my eyes, I was panting as if I’d been running in my sleep. The ceiling was higher than the ceiling in Night’s sumr villa. There’s a huge chandelier above and it made
squint as I wholly opened my eyes. I couldn’t move even if I wanted to, and all I could feel were a pain in my back, my legs, and my arms. "Night," I muttered, and my voice was hoarse.
"Brother! She’s awake!" I heard an unfamiliar voice of a child but I couldn’t see her face. "She looks like she’s suffering! Hurry and help her!" The young girl was panicking as she described my situation. She might have been scared because of how I keep gasping for air.
"Okay, okay, Emi. Calm down."
I heard footsteps towards . "Hey." The mont I saw Aziel’s face, I imdiately tried to stand up, but with how quick I stood up, the dizziness got over
and I almost fell to the floor. "Oops," Aziel said as he caught
before I could fall.
"I know you don’t like , but isn’t that reaction too much?" He said with that annoying smile of his.
Even though I was feeling weak, I pushed him away from
and my knees imdiately gave up causing
to sit on the floor. My breathing grew heavier and my vision was still blurry even though it should be adjusting well now.
"Now, now. Don’t push yourself." I heard him say. "It’s been three days and you still have a cold."
"Three days!?"
I huffed and puffed as I forced myself to stand up. There’s no way it’s been three days after that incident. What about Night? I need to save him. "Move!" I shouted at my legs as I slapped them with my hands but it didn’t have any effect and I still couldn’t stand up.
"B-Brother, what’s happening to big sister?" I heard the young girl that was hiding behind Aziel said. "I-Is she mad at Emi?"
Emi? Who is she?
"Of course not. Emi’s a good girl, so big sister wouldn’t get mad." Aziel said as he patted Emi’s head. "Leave us for now. You’re a good girl, right?" The young girl left, leaving only Aziel and
inside this huge and luxurious room.
"I need to go. Night needs ."
"What will you do in that condition? You’ll only beco a burden to him."
Those words caused
to realize my position. He’s right, I’m a dead weight and I should stay put. "I know that." I leaned my hand on the floor to support my weight as I forced myself to stand up. "I already know that I can’t do anything... but I still want to be with him." I struggled until I could finally stand with my two feet, but it didn’t last long and I fell face-first to the ground.
"It’s pointless." I heard him say. "Those people caught him already, and who knows what’s happening to him now."
I can feel the sensation of pain on my forehead as tears kept rushing out of my eyes. "If I don’t go now, Night will be..." He must be enduring all those tortures. "I can’t let him suffer because of ."
Aziel lifted
from the floor and I struggled until he made
sit on the bed. "I know you love him so much that you don’t want him to suffer, but he’s a lot stronger than that."
"Night didn’t want to be strong."
I heard him sigh. "I know." Aziel sat on a chair in front of . "Today, Lorenzo’s been trying to contact the Yamaguchi-gumi to inform them about your condition." He said.
"You might be feeling alright right now because you took an IV fluid but you’ve been burning with a fever the whole day yesterday." Aziel scooped his bangs backward. "I saw what happened that day, Night pushed you off the cliff and started fighting Junichiro’s n."
"If you were there, then why didn’t you help him?!"
Aziel placed both his hands on my shoulders. "I rushed to you because you were pushed from a cliff. I didn’t even expect that you’ll live from that height." He sighed. "Didn’t you know what went into my head that mont? I thought that Night was insane to push you off like that."
"You should have helped Night."
"I’m just reminding you but I have no obligation to help either one of you." I glared at him after he said that. "I’m being kind and helping you, so why are you glaring at ?" He giggled and touched my chin but I imdiately shook his hand away.
"I didn’t ask you to help ." Tears wouldn’t stop from falling out of my eyes as my legs dangled from the bed.
Aziel wiped my tears making
push him away, but he didn’t budge. "Don’t cry, it’ll make
feel weird if I enjoy seeing you cry." He said causing
to look at him with disgust.
"You disgust ."
He smiled. "I think I sowhat enjoy your glares now."
It’s useless to talk to him like this. I need to get out of this place, Aziel isn’t soone I can trust so there’s no need to ask for his help. "Just... let
go," I said as I stepped onto the floor. "You don’t have to help, just get out of my way."
"I can’t do that." Aziel grabbed my arm. "You know, you’re more dear to
than you expect." He said causing
to frown.
"I don’t care."
After that, Aziel forced
to lie on the bed with his strength. "We’re trying to contact Kenji, okay? If we get in contact with them, I’ll send reinforcent." I stared at him with doubt in my eyes. "It’s annoying that the Yamaguchi-gumi can’t handle their problem on their own. I can’t stop saying how proud I am of myself."
I didn’t say anything while staring at him.
"I handled my father’s problems all on my own, and now I’m free from him and his goal." He smiled. "I’m willing to help since Night didn’t want that kind of life either, and soone powerful is backing
up. I still need to make Junichiro realize how dumb he was when he thought he could defeat ."
His smile looked genuine, unlike that sinister smile he had last ti. "I guess I’ll be able to help you since we have the sa enemy." Aziel stroked my hair gently as he showed
another gentle smile. "You need to rest well if you want to save Night."
Hearing him say that pisses
off, but I know that he has a point. ’Even though I already know that, I am anxious and worried about Night.’ I balled my fists as I shook my head. There’s no point imagining his situation, if I recover from my fever fast, then I can save him as soon as possible.
I gave up fighting with Aziel, and as soon as I decided to do that, we heard soone knock on the door.
"Young master, we got a hold of the Yamaguchi-gumi."
I quickly turned to Aziel and he smiled at .
