"How do I do that?" Aenyra didn’t inquire too much into it. Princess Sheana’s life was hanging on by a thread, and ti wasn’t a luxury they could afford. "Just tell what to do, and I’ll get right to it," she willingly offered herself to provide relief and save Sheana.
Fairy Zarathia gave Aenyra a glance up and down. The resemblance between her and Aeltharion was uncanny. From her scent, she could tell that Aenyra was a dragon and of Nadine’s bloodline.
Her eyes narrowed on her. ’Why is your bloodline full of martyrs of such brave characters and hearts of gold?’ She asked inwardly. She would’ve loved to ask her friend that question, but Nadine had long ceased to exist with the passing of their lifeti.
"There are two ways to go about it."
"I’m listening," Aenyra uttered.
Nytherael took Aeltharion to sit back down. Since the fairy had a solution, they didn’t need to worry too much and need only wait to be called upon or requested to help.
"I don’t want to sit," Aeltharion complained.
Nytherael frowned, displeased. "Yoy barely has the strength to keep standing. Rest."
"This is not the ti to rest..."
"How will I answer to Sseraphis when we reunite, and he discovers that I didn’t take proper care of you?" Nytherael asked him, using Sseraphis to get him t9 comply.
Aeltharion pressed his mouth shut. "That’s not fair," he let out, feeling aggrieved, but as long as he agreed to sit down and rest, Nytherael didn’t stop to as low as emotional manipulation.
They sat down, and he happily offered his lap for Aeltharion to rest his head and catch so sleep to re-energize.
Aeltharion found a smile blooming on his face at such a gesture. The small hills of his cheeks pulled as his lips stretched out into a happy smile. Those two hills had slight red hues on them.
Without further hesitation, he laid down, rested his head on Nytherael’s lap, and curled the rest of his body onto the seat.
Nytherael massaged his head. Slowly, Aeltharion closed his eyes, and the exhaustion of his giving out body caught up with him, and he imdiately fell to slumber.
"Whatever it takes. I am ready to save Sheana," Aenyra rose, ready to accept the role of becoming her hero.
"I’m glad to see your motivation because you are going to need it."
Aenyra swallowed. However, she didn’t back down. In fact, she stepped forward, more determined. With no gain or order to protect Princess Sheana, her body moved at will to show up for the phoenix because Sheana hadn’t hesitated when it was her life in danger.
"Either dreamwalk into her brain and forcefully erase the mory from her mind," she uttered.
Aenyra nodded. "How do I dreamwalk..."
"Before you jump to the idea, you should know that erasing such a mory holds the risk of you erasing yourself, too."
"Absolutely not!" Nytherael objected for Aeltharion and Sseraphis’ sake.
Both his mates were fond of Aenyra. If Aeltharion woke up to find that while he convinced him to rest, he allowed his sister to be erased from existance, his dragon would grow to hate him... for real this ti.
And when Sseraphis returns to find his sister-in-law and number one protector was gone from the world while he sat by and let it happened, his venomous heart would poison him to death just to revive him and start the whole killing him process again.
Nytherael shivered. Just the thought of their hatred made him tremble. He couldn’t handle his relationship breaking any more than it already did.
"That’s not your choice to make!" Aenyra roared. It was her life, her choice. "And if I want to save Sheana at the expense of my life..."
"I said no!" Nytherael roared, his mismatched eyes darkened and there shade intensified in colour. His shadow ford nine tails that swayed around I’m wavy motion and crimson fla lit up from them that burnt hotter than the fire in his heart.
Aenyra backed away. Her skin growing sensitive to the crimson fla of the nine-tailed fox. The obsidian dragon scales on her skin sensed that the fla could burn through them and make mince at of her.
Fairy Zarathia stared at Nytherael and for the first ti, her eyes lit up with approval. As a nine-tailed fox herself, she appreciated power when she saw it and Nytherael had it. Untouched, mighty and raw.
"Anything that involves your death is off the table!" He said, his voice echoed and settled firmly on Aenyra’s heart.
A golden glowing hue covered the edges of the crimson flas on each tail. Giving the fla a forbidden glow of a mismatched shade of golden-crimson.
Aenyra felt the intensity of the mightily glowing flas increase with the golden coating. The colour matched Nytherael’s eyes and their intensity.
"Your death is not up for discussion!" He repeated.
Fairy Zarathia waved her fingers. A blue light travelled through the air from her fingers, they grazed against Nytherael’s skin and his heart cald down, his eyes relaxed and his shadow tails rged together and one before disappearing back into his fra’s shadow and the powerful fla disappears.
"Let’s use our words, shall we?" She said, flashing a bright kind smile that made the corners of her eyes curve up. Her entire face lit up and she appeared more beautiful and charming.
Nytherael blinked. It was the first ti ant beadt disard him so easily and then smiled like nothing happened. The display of power from the fairy chilled him to the bone. It was clear she knew she was the most powerful in the room and she wasn’t humble about it.
"The second thod doesn’t have any risk of death. You just have to whisper a command to force her to forget."
Nytherael breathed a sigh of relief. As long as Aenyra wasn’t dying on hua watch, he was okay. "Let’s go with the second way. I like it," he nodded giving his approval.
Aenyra scoffed. ’My brother is mated to crazy beasts,’ she thought. There was no other explanation for Nytherael or Sseraphis.
Sseraphis level of crazy she understood but Nytherael, the fox being unreasonable and insane to deal with was new. She glanced down at her brother’s sound asleep on the male and found her jaw dropping.
’How can he sleep so peacefully on such a crazy fox?’ She wondered. The great sovereign hadn’t moved an inch or reacted to the flas from the fox like he hadn’t felt the hear up against his skin even though he was close to the fox.
"Teach the command. I’ll do it," she turned to Fairy Zarathia, ignoring Nytherael.
"That’s where the problem cos in," she stated, her eyes casting down with heaviness. "It’s not a spell... the command only works when you the beast giving it is bonded to the beast receiving it."
"What?" Aenyra turned pale instantly.
"It’ll only work if you invade her ears using the mate bond and command her through the bond to forget the vision she saw," she explained. "Without the bond, she isnt obliged to submit to you and without the submission, the vision will keep eating away at her as a price for the revelation she received."
Aenyra’s heart fell.
