Chasing And Claiming My Rejected Omega Mate:Alpha's Severe Regret [BL] Chapter 57: Dinner At The Penthouse [2]
Kenny
Through my choking fits, I still felt taken aback when Rory himself began to choke.
This kind grandma, who insisted we call her grandma Nini, had completely caught off guard when he began to speak about having a grandson who is single. The possessive streak which I’ve never really felt towards antyond before suddenly reared its head out right now. I want to bang my hands on the table right now and tell this kind woman that Rory wasn’t interested, but I knew I couldn’t do that since on arriving here, we introduced ourselves to her as friends.
That was more Rory, though. I’d have preferred we introduced ourselves as boyfriends or sothing.
Rory downed a cup of water after coughing a little and that was when I noticed the way his eyes were blown wide, cheeks a little flushed.
"Jason?" He whispered slowly, voice low and I glanced at grandma nini who offered him a large grin as she nodded her head eagerly.
"Yes, honey. He’s a sweet grandchild of mine– my only grandchild, and I’m sure he’d be smitten with you like I already am." As she spoke, she turned her warm eyes towards .
"Don’t you think so, kenny?"
I spluttered for a mont before nodding slowly, chest suddenly feeling tight. I wanted to shaky my head and tell her to stop saying things like this to Rory, but my tongue felt heavy in my mouth.
Rory downed so water again before clearing his throat.
"That’s... uh..."
The old woman’s eyes widened in concern. "Are you alright, dear?"
Rory coughed a bit before nodding and then he excused himself to go to the restroom. I remained alone in the dining room with the grandma and all that was going through my mind was the fact that I wasn’t feeling pleased right now, and that I’d also like to follow Rory to check if he’s alright.
"Honey, you and Rory have been friends for how long?"
The woman’s low voice tugged out of my thoughts and I forced a smile on.
"For about a month." I revealed and she humd thoughtfully.
"I feel like you might be great friends with my Jason." She continued after a bit and a frown ford on my face.
What’s with her and this Jason?
"Oh? What’s your grandson like?" I asked as I sipped on a bit of my wine. She bead eagerly and clapped her hands, and then she launched into a long explanation of how amazing and kind and polite and reserved her grandson is.
"He’s so far away from here. I worry about him a lot. He doesn’t have friends or anything, which was why I believed he might like to beco your friend because you feel kind hearted to , just like Rory." She explained and I let out a hum to indicate that I was listening.
Within , I felt a mild expansion of understanding for her. She clearly just loved her grandson and wanted the best for him. And after she described him, he sounded like a cute cat that couldn’t hurt anyone.
"I guess we can be friends then." I offered almost reluctantly and her smile made her eyes glow just as Rory returned and slid back into his seat.
"Grandma Nini... I appreciate the offer, but I’m not interested in eting anyone or getting romantically involved anyone for now. I’m sorry." He stared down at his food as he spoke and grandma Nini assured him that it was totally fine, then she confird if he was okay again.
However, all that I could currently feel within was relief. An intense amount of relief. A part of had believed Rory was gonna accept the offer even if he didn’t want to just so that he wouldn’t hurt her feelings and I was glad he outrightly rejected the offer. It made my alpha imnsely happy, and it made very pleased knowing that there was no one coming in to snatch him from , even if he wasn’t mine... yet.

I was currently driving and Rory was sitting in the passenger’s seat. He was completely unaware but his scent was ssing with my head right now.
"You alright? When you went to the restroom back then." I broke the comfortable silence once we stopped at a red sign.
"Oh, that. I am now. I just went there to gather myself because that na triggered so mories for ." He revealed and I felt myself instantly grow curious.m
"In all honesty, I thought you were gonna accept her offer to et her grandson." I pointed out and he laughed a beautiful, airy laugh.
"Hell no. I have no interest in that. I was being serious when I told you that at the restaurant that night. It wasn’t because it’s you." He explained and I exhaled slowly, feeling a little relief because a little part of had feared he rejected because I wasn’t like other alphas.
"What mories got triggered to you after the dear woman asked that question?" I asked, turning the topic back around.
"The father of my child." He responded and I did a double take because that was the last thing I expected to hear.
"Oh wow." I blurted out in surprise and he huffed, slumping into his seat.
"Tell about it. Talk about a ridiculous coincidence." He muttered and I glanced at him for a mont, trying to figure out if he was in love with the father of his child or sothing close to that.
"Were you in love with him?" I asked after a mont and he blinked in confusion.
"Who?"
"The father of your child." I responded as I took a turn and he gasped around a laugh.
"What? No! I don’t even know a thing about him." He admitted and I peered at him. He had a grim expression on as he continued.
"It was a one night stand and nothing more."
"Oh." I blurted, at a complete loss of words.
"And I’m certain he’s married now anyway. This isn’t being jealous though because I really didn’t know him, aside from his na. It was a stupid decision made out of desperation."
Once he was done explaining, a relieved sigh wheezed out of my lungs.
After a few monts, I blurted out the next thing on my mind.
"Wanna return ho with ?"
