The event that Old E and Mu Shang ntioned was sothing Liu Xin’an kept in mind.

It wasn’t convenient now, but when he got back, he planned to probe "Zao Shui" for inside information. If he got so, that’d be great; if not, no big deal.

After all, he was a native of Tianjin. As the old saying goes, "Contentnt brings happiness."

What was his was his. He never forced what wasn’t. He lived an easy, carefree life.

After lunch, Liu Xin’an said goodbye to Mu Shang and Shushao, found Old E who was on a call nearby, and after waiting for a while, followed Old E back to the showcase to prepare for the next shoot.

anwhile, as he was busy, Bae Juhyun, who was having noodles with Li Chenglu, showed a satisfied smile.

Great, another dish... no, another staple food was added to her list of favorite Chinese dishes.

These noodles were so delicious!

They were a type that Bae Juhyun had never encountered before.

"How does it taste?"

"It’s just... wow, flawless."

Bae Juhyun thought of Kang Seulgi from their group. She felt that Kang Seulgi’s absence this ti was the biggest loss of the year for her.

As expected of a large country, the variety of food was endless, and every day offered sothing new.

"Too bad, Juhyun, you can’t eat too spicy. Otherwise, I would want you to try our spicy duck neck."

"Um... what’s duck neck? The neck of a duck?"

Li Chenglu nodded. Just thinking about the spicy duck neck and wings made her salivate.

"It’s a sweet and spicy snack, perfect for drinking."

"Oh! Even better than yesterday’s lamb skewers?"

"You could say they’re on par."

"I really want to try." Bae Juhyun actually had a hidden foodie side.

When she first debuted, she was often scolded by Manager Kim and her agency for not being able to control her weight. But over ti, as she took on more responsibility as the leader, she worked hard to maintain her figure.

So, her foodie nature was gradually suppressed by her sense of duty.

But now with Liu Xin’an, she seed to revert to her naive self before debuting, at least... she didn’t have to be so dignified in front of him.

If it wasn’t for being with Liu Xin’an, she would have a hard ti smiling naturally.

Whether this was a good thing or not, Bae Juhyun couldn’t say.

But she was sure of one thing: she was happy now.

Um... maybe "happy" could also describe it?

"Is it okay? Irene, you’ve been eating a lot lately, haven’t you?"

Li Chenglu’s concern made Bae Juhyun sigh lightly.

She unconsciously touched her flat stomach.

It was still flat.

She could vaguely feel her abs.

But eating too much did give her a sense of guilt.

For soone who had to appear on cara, any body imperfection would be magnified.

"If I eat just a little..."

"Then have a little tonight and skip the alcohol, have so diet cola."

"Okay!"

Beer had a lot of calories; just because it was cold didn’t an it was calorie-free, and drinking it wouldn’t make one thin.

It’s best to drink less alcohol.

Um... except soju, because she liked it.

After slurping another bite of noodles, Bae Juhyun’s phone on the table lit up. She glanced at it, picked it up, read the ssage, and looked at Li Chenglu.

"Xin’an said he got the autograph for you."

"Jeez, if that guy Liu Xin’an hadn’t gotten the autograph, I’d have fought him today."

"Um... Xin’an told you guys actually fought before, is that true?"

Li Chenglu nodded, not hiding anything: "In junior high, he told to wait after school to go ho together, but he didn’t show up until almost seven. I later found out he had gone ho early, so I went to his house and fought him."

"... At his house? Weren’t his parents mad?"

"Parents? Of course not... Oh! Liu Xin’an and I have been neighbors since birth. My parents and his parents get along really well, so I’ve always called his parents mom and dad. Irene, don’t misunderstand."

"He’s explained it to ." Bae Juhyun shook her head with a smile, indicating she wasn’t jealous.

If it was before she bonded with Li Chenglu, she might have been a little upset over this.

But now... she fully understood Liu Xin’an and Li Chenglu’s relationship was like hers with Bae Jinhee.

Purely familial, with no other feelings involved.

"Good to know."

"What’s Xin’an’s parents like?"

Bae Juhyun pondered for a few seconds before her curiosity got the better of her, and she softly asked.

She had already taken Liu Xin’an ho; for fairness, she felt she should be prepared to et his parents too.

Who knew when that might happen?

And since Li Chenglu could suddenly show up at Liu Xin’an’s house, who could guarantee his parents wouldn’t suddenly appear?

She had to be fully prepared.

"Dad... you an Liu Xin’an’s dad? Hmm... let think how to describe him."

They had finished their noodles. Although speaking in Korean attracted curious glances, Li Chenglu never cared about that.

Bae Juhyun noticed those looks and coughed, lightly patting Li Chenglu’s arm and adjusting her cap.

"Let’s talk back at the hotel."

"Oh... right."

After paying, the two picked up their phones and sneaked out of the store.

They didn’t rush back to the hotel as it wasn’t far. Instead, they entered a nearby drink shop.

There weren’t many coffee shops around, replaced by various milk teas and fruit teas.

Fearing weight gain, Bae Juhyun ordered a lemon tea, savoring its sweet and sour taste.

Li Chenglu, not prone to gaining weight, casually ordered a bubble tea.

Once they found a quiet spot, they resud their interrupted conversation.

"Liu Xin’an’s dad is a gentle middle-aged man, you know how calm Liu Xin’an is, right?"

"Yes." Bae Juhyun nodded, agreeing. Being around Liu Xin’an made her strangely calm, as if he radiated a calming aura.

"He’s just like his dad, unhurried in everything, even in the way he walks."

Bae Juhyun opened her mouth wide in surprise, nodding vigorously. She’d noticed this too.

When she took Liu Xin’an to her ho and they went out on dates, she always led while Liu Xin’an leisurely followed.

At first, she thought he was sightseeing in Daegu, but...

He just walked slowly?!

"But that’s not just their trait. People from Tianjin are generally like that; our hotown is known as the slowest-paced first-tier city in China."

"Oh..." This was new to Bae Juhyun.

"And Liu Xin’an’s dad has a great temperant. I never saw him angry, even when I got Liu Xin’an injured from playing around, he never got mad."

"Oh... a gentle person?"

"Yes." Li Chenglu nodded in agreent.

"And his mom?"

"His mom... can be tough sotis, but she’s a softie at heart." Li Chenglu explained, seeing Bae Juhyun’s confusion with the idiom, she rephrased, "You can think of her as soone whose words might be harsh, but she’s very kindhearted."

"Ah! That makes sense."

"So, Irene, don’t worry about getting along with Xin’an’s parents; they’re very nice people. Otherwise, they wouldn’t be so lenient about him not getting married yet."

"Uh..." This topic made Bae Juhyun purse her lips, unsure of what to say.

Thinking about it, it was indeed strange for soone Xin’an’s age not to be married, especially since he wasn’t a celebrity.

Most of her few non-celebrity friends were either married or preparing to.

She was an artist, unable to marry early like ordinary people...

Wait, if she was with Liu Xin’an, wouldn’t he have to marry much later?

Yes, Bae Juhyun thought far ahead, envisioning their future wedding.

But generally speaking, no parent would want their child to marry late, right?

Even if Li Chenglu described Liu Xin’an’s parents as kind, marriage was sothing else...

"Aren’t Xin’an’s parents urging him to marry?"

"No, as far as I know, they aren’t."

"Then... my career might not let marry soon, is that okay?"

Li Chenglu was taken aback, then showed a complicated expression.

Hearing her favorite idol talk about marriage in front of her felt world-shattering.

But fortunately, she was quite open-minded. She still liked Bae Juhyun but wasn’t as obsessed as before.

"I think you’re worrying too early. From what I know of his parents, if Xin’an doesn’t mind, they’ll understand."

True or not, this reassurance comforted Bae Juhyun.

She nodded, sipped her lemon tea, and then looked at Li Chenglu in curiosity.

"Chenglu, aren’t your parents pressuring you?"

"? My parents don’t care. I’m against marriage."

"Wow! Really?"

If she hadn’t t Liu Xin’an, Bae Juhyun figured she might also avoid marriage in the future.

But now... sorry, Li Chenglu, she might have to betray that ideal.

"I can’t imagine myself married."

"But Xin’an said you don’t mind dating?"

Li Chenglu nodded, hands open: "Dating and not wanting to marry aren’t contradictory."

This left Bae Juhyun speechless, but on second thought... she had no counterargunt.

Enjoying a relationship without the need to marry.

However, doing so seed unfair to the man involved.

Noticing Bae Juhyun’s thoughts, Li Chenglu smiled, "If my partner wants to marry, I’d break up cleanly. I’m not a perfect woman, but I don’t want to be a jerk."

Her goal was clear: enjoy, no marriage.

She wouldn’t string soone along if she didn’t plan to marry.

Before any relationship, she’d make her stance clear.

How the guy took it was up to him~
