Chapter 114 – Cat Dad’s First Sea PVP (1)

The dissection and the harvest process took a long ti, but it was worth it. The group got a big haul of shark at, skin, innards, and many miscellaneous items from its stomach.

After collecting and sorting the items from the stomach, Andrew dried them and gathered them in a chest. Then, he carried it toward Xiaomao and put it down.

Again, Andrew puffed his chest and raised his chin, bragging about his achievent.

Xiaomao laughed at him. This guy had so personality.

“Good job, munya.”

Andrew snorted and smiled. He pointed at the mountain of kegs, which he had bought and collected from Xuan Town. He made a gesture if he could drink them.

“Go ahead, munya.”

Andrew raised his both hands. Shepherd and the three passengers also did the sa. The five crews carried three kegs to the kitchen and began distributing cups. Jas even sliced a portion of the shark to cook side dishes for his friends. However, he ended up making several servings of steaks since they had so much shark at to eat.

Just like that, the boys celebrated their haul and their job.

Xiaomao watched them having a party. The mood in the ship got lively after Andrew and the three strangers joined them.

“No, munya. Soone has to watch the ship.”

“FISH?! DID YOU SAY FISH, MUNYA?!”.

Xiaomao dashed with eight tentacles. He hopped on Shepherd’s head and pointed at the fish steaks that they were having.

“How dare you forget your captain, munya?! Give a plate!”

The n laughed and prepared a large serving of shark steak for Xiaomao.

Magdalene watched the boys and shook her head. She turned to Fu De, who was slurping shark blood in a bucket, which was filled with discarded innards.

“Nah, I don’t eat fish. I drink blood.”

While drinking the shark blood, the corner of Fu De’s eyes spotted a red bead among the other waste. He shoved his hand into the squishy intestines and pulled it out.

It was a monster core.

Fu De’s eyes glittered. He turned around, looking at Magdalene. The fairy returned to Shepherd’s side and drank a cup of wine from his cup.

Seeing that Magdalene and others no longer paid attention to him, Fu De smirked. He injected his Qi into the monster’s core and destroyed the curse inside.

The red bead turned white, and the na of the item changed.

DING

Fu De giggled as the energy of the essence core seeped into his pores and rejuvenated him.

The bonus went on. The old vampire’s physique beca five years younger.

Fu De let out a satisfied burp while the crystal in his hand turned to dust.

“That hits the spot!”

.

Because of the rry mood, Xiaomao and the crews stopped working. Fu De and Magdalene ended up taking care of the ship by themselves. The fairy handled the sails and the helm while Fu De was on watching duty, remaining on the top mast while hiding resting under a makeshift roof.

As Magdalene stopped accelerating the frigate with her wind magic, the ship sailed at the regular speed of 10 knots. The trip beca pleasant as the crewmates enjoyed the sightseeing and the nonstop partying. Although the retainers couldn’t speak because of the curses, they still make jokes with their gestures, expressions, and sign language.

At night in-ga, the boys and Magdalene went to sleep, and Fu De got to celebrate the sunless sky. As for Xiaomao, he didn’t need to sleep at the mont.

Xiaomao stopped eating and checked the ga ssages, checking if he missed sothing when he was partying.

As usual, players sent friend requests and guild invitations. So of them even sent private ssages, asking for Xiaomao’s private information. Again, Xiaomao ignored and blacklisted them all.

In addition, there was a minor change to his cursed claws, which were now an outdated weapon that got stuck on him.

As Xiaomao ate so many fish steaks, he weakened the hunger curse of the gauntlets. He rechecked the detail of the weapons.

.

Cursed Claw Gauntlet

The origin of this claw gauntlet is unknown, but Mama Warden has been using it ever since she has beco a warden of this place. Its four claws can cut to iron plates like tofu, and it is light, which makes it easy to use for beginners.

However, this item is cursed. Upon use, you will not be able to remove it for 72 hours. Equip it at your own risk.

Item Type: Cursed Weapon (30%)

Rarity: Rare

Requirent: Level 20

Effect: ATK 340, AGI 85

Durability: 476/500

Effects: Upon attacking monsters with this gauntlet, your satiety bar will decrease by 1% per attack. Randomly decrease your satiety bar to zero every day.

.

The two claw gauntlets grew stronger, but Xiaomao had been wearing them for more than 72 hours. However, he chose not to discard them yet as they still boosted his attack power and agility. Moreover, he was curious about what it would beco after the curse was lifted.

Xiaomao turned to the item chest that Andrew had brought for him.

Upon picking up items, Xiaomao was disappointed. Most of them were common and uncommon items. Still, he sorted them to the storage chests in the ship, which would be used as trading goods.

While arranging the content of the cargo, Xiaomao found a certain black pearl at the bottom of Andrew’s chest.

It was a black stone – the corrupted spirit stone.

Had it been several days ago, Xiaomao would have celebrated. But now, a spirit stone could no longer move him.

‘Since Andrew found these, I’ll cleanse them and give them to Andrew later. Oh, Shepherd and Lucky need so, too. Well, once I’m rich in spirit stones, they can have theirs.’

While Xiaomao was collecting the corrupted spirit stones and the monster core into his inventory, Fu De suddenly shouted and rang a bell.

“INCOMING SHIPS, PORT SIDE!”

Xiaomao stored the precious items in his inventory and hopped on the main deck. He jumped on a rail and stared into the left side of the ship.

Deep into the dark horizon, a hundred lamps illuminated dim light, revealing the faint silhouettes of multiple small ships. As Xiaomao and Fu De could see through the dark, they found a fleet of 20 cogs and a hundred fishing boats, heading directly toward their frigate.

Xiaomao narrowed his eyes. He brought out a binocular scope, which Shepherd bought for him from Xuan City. Zooming further, Xiaomao saw players on the ships. Their average level was 80, and most of them had guild tags in front of their nas.

[Claymore United], [Bounty Hunters], and [YARR] guild mbers were the only players there. So of them brought their supporters and retainers on their ships. Noticeably, all [Yarr] guild’s mbers were on cog ships, but the other two other guilds used regular motorboats or fishing boats. Moreover, the Yarr Guild used pirate flags as their guild insignia, revealing their inspirations.

From their numbers and their formation, their intention was obvious.

Xiaomao lowered the binoculars, and his killing intent erupted. He walked toward the entrance of the cabin and rang a large bell, which had been hanging there since the beginning.

CLANK CLANK

“WAKE UP, YE TONGUELESS RATS! WE’RE UNDER ATTACK, MUNYARR!”

The loud bell and Xiaomao’s high-pitched voice woke up Shepherd, Andrew, Peter, Jas, and John. They rushed out to et their captain.

Upon getting on the main deck, Xiaomao pointed outside the ship, and the n turned to the port side, staring into the darkness. Then, they found the lamp lights of the incoming vessels.

“Andrew, mount one of the cannons, munya! Teach the others how to use them! Shepherd and Jas, turn the sail to the right, munya!”

Andrew saluted and dashed to the gun deck. Peter and John followed the dwarf, but Jas and Shepherd ran to the mast and began pulling ropes, turning the sail to the right.

Xiaomao also got to the helm, but he hadn’t turned the ship yet. He asured the distance between his frigate and their ships with his eyes.

DING

As if Heaven hated Xiaomao, the beacon of light appeared again along with the global notification.

The beacon of light illuminated the Wellerboy, highlighting its location and the crew on board.

Fu De scread in fright when the bright light shone upon the ship. He pulled the black sheet and dark clothes to cover his head while crouching in the basket.

The beacon soon dimd, but the damage had been done. The pursuing cogs and motorboats accelerated and charged toward the frigate.

Xiaomao bellowed.

“ANDREW, FIRE AT WILL, MUNYARR!”

A breath later, three of the cannons on the frigate spat fire.
