Chapter 4574: No Use, Can’t Smash to Death
"Three?"
Lin Moyu was surprised and gave a strange look. "How could there be three?"
The Primal Chaos Stone gave an "don’t ask " gesture. "How should I know why there are three? But it’s three for sure. No mistake."
Lin Moyu asked, "Can you tell their details?"
The Primal Chaos Stone shook his head. "No. That’s all I can do unless you beco an Invincible. Only then can I unleash my full power."
He was a tool spirit, but without soone to wield him, he couldn’t display the full power of the Calamity Scepter.
The Primal Chaos Stone continued, "I can’t tell specifics, but I can sense two of the three are extrely ancient, while one isn’t as old.
Those two old ones, they’re so old they’re nearly dead.
But it feels like the great tribulation of this world is rising again. No idea which of them can survive it or beco an Invincible.
If they can’t get through, the two old ones will die. The other might last a bit longer, but not enough to see the next great tribulation."
As he spoke, Lin Moyu’s mind was whirling with information.
Three two ancient, including the ’Dao’; who is the other?
As old as the ’Dao’ ans a being from the sa era.
Back then, ’Dao’ seized the miraculous flower and managed to breakthrough, but how did the other do it? That’s a mystery.
The third is obviously Calamity Supre, who isn’t so ancient.
Lin Moyu asked, "Will they age and die?"
The Primal Chaos Stone answered definitively, "Yes. They failed their breakthrough, they’re bound by the rules of the world, and one limitation is ti.
After failing, they can live only one great tribulation’s worth. Those two ancient ones likely broke through last tribulation so this is their final chance.
The other broke through later, but this tribulation is also his last shot. He won’t make it to another."
The stone delivered a new ssage. Lin Moyu calmly asked, "What is a ’great tribulation’?"
The Primal Chaos Stone explained, "All worlds have tribulations it’s destiny. Worlds are born and die by tribulation.
If you want details, here goes."
"From the mont any world is born, it faces its own great tribulation. This decides if it’ll beco a living or a dead world. That first catastrophe is called the Initial Tribulation a life death judgnt for heaven and earth."
"If it’s a dead world, that’s it: nothing follows. It’ll perish at the next tribulation either shattered completely or left as ruins for powerful treasure hunters.
But if the world survives the first tribulation, it becos a living world, capable of nurturing myriad beings. As beings grow stronger, the world perfects itself."
"That leads to the second tribulation, called the World Source Tribulation, or the Severance of Living Dao.
Countless beings will die in this tribulation, which then beco the origins of various Daos these serve as the world’s foundation for future life."
"In this tribulation, one being in ten thousand survives hardly any make it.
But the world itself gets a sliver of hope, granting soone during the tribulation one chance to break through and beco Invincible."
"But for this world, no one seized that chance: two tried and failed, barely surviving for now and their only chance left is at the next tribulation.
If they succeed, they beco Invincible. If not, they just wait for death.
There’s lots like this. From what I’ve seen elsewhere, in their desperation, these failures might do crazy things. A few worlds were destroyed like that."
Makes sense if your end is certain anyway, why not try everything, no matter how desperate?
Lin Moyu asked, "So, we’re facing the third tribulation in this world? How many do worlds go through?"
The Primal Chaos Stone said, "It varies. Every tribulation weakens the world. So only survive three: if no Invincible erges, the world decays and collapses.
But so especially mighty worlds withstand many tribulations I saw one last through nine, but not even then did an Invincible arise, so it finally shattered."
Lin Moyu asked, "How about our world?"
The Primal Chaos Stone replied, "This world isn’t that strong at most it can handle four. But if those two old guys can’t break through and go wild, this tribulation could wipe the world out early.
And they’re very likely to go wild. Just prepare I’ve seen it many tis, Master."
The Primal Chaos Stone for once showed concern. Lin Moyu feigned being flattered. "Thanks. Say, I’ve seen a vision of soone swinging the Calamity Scepter at another, which split off the five jewels. Did you know about this?"
This unresolved question always bugged Lin Moyu. The Primal Chaos Stone claid to have drifted through the forbidden life zones, but Calamity Supre’s mory showed him smashing ’Dao’ with a complete Scepter that seed contradictory.
The Primal Chaos Stone replied, "Of course. I split on my own."
"Why?" Lin Moyu was confused. Why separate the five jewels from the Scepter deliberately?
The Primal Chaos Stone explained, "When I ca here from a forbidden zone, this world had just survived its second tribulation and was still weak.
To adapt, I suppressed my power as much as possible but no matter what, I was still too strong. I tried and tried for ages, but it didn’t work. In the end, I could only go dormant, hoping ti would polish my edge."
"But then soone found and started using to bash people I woke up, all my effort wasted.
I got angry, and the world started rejecting because I was still too strong.
So I had to split myself up, waiting for a day when I’d be reunited again.’"
So that’s the story the Scepter wasn’t shattered by ’Dao’, it was the Primal Chaos Stone’s own decision.
Finally, an old confusion was resolved; at the Scepter’s level, ’Dao’ couldn’t possibly break it so how could he have smashed it apart?
Lin Moyu asked, "Weren’t you afraid of being separated forever?"
The Primal Chaos Stone was confident: "No. The pieces are tied by karma. No matter how long they’re apart, they’ll always reunite. That’s fate unchangeable!"
Lin Moyu believed him. "So back then, if you’d wanted, you could have smashed that guy to death?"
The Primal Chaos Stone replied emphatically, "No. Not possible!"
