Chapter 1831: After the modification: Chapter 555 The deal reached with Marshal Andre

“Co so quickly…”

Leonard Churchill used the Curse God Card to banish the terrifying dragon’s breath, but couldn’t help spitting out a mouthful of blood as his throat burned with a sharp pain.

It wasn’t that he was overconfident, trying to face a Ninth Tier technique head-on.

But he had to let this person know that they had the capability to protect themselves.

Only then would they have the qualifications to negotiate conditions.

They hadn’t hurriedly cleaned up the battlefield and left earlier because they weren’t concerned about attracting Marshal Andre of the Iris Legion.

Even if he didn’t co looking for them, they were planning to seek him out anyway.

Because Leonard guessed that the blueprints and so key components of the Titan Battle Armor were likely still in Andre’s possession.

And hadn’t been destroyed.

Now that they had obtained the equipnt, they certainly had to consider the blueprints as well.

Comparatively, it’s more suitable for Andre to co to them rather than them seeking him out in a heavily guarded military camp.

….

Before Andre could act again, Leonard spoke: “Marshal Andre, how about making a deal?”

As he spoke, his face displayed a calm smile, without a trace of fear.

It was this calm deanor that made Andre pause, showing the playful look of a hunter eyeing prey trapped in a snare.

“Ha, a deal… What qualifications do you have to negotiate a deal with ?”

Although he said this, a subtle caution flickered in Andre’s eyes.

He was well aware that if he could kill them, he would have done so right at the start.

The strength of the few before him far surpassed his expectations.

While speaking, the Marshal’s peripheral gaze discreetly glanced at the Curse God Card in Leonard’s hand, then at the Xismark Holy Grail floating beside Camilla, and lastly at Tracy Garcia under whose spell the Void seed to split… His expression hid a sternness, but more so curiosity.

The trio’s composure made this peak human card master uncertain.

Since when did the East Wilderness produce such experts?

They clearly weren’t from the Orlan Royal Court.

Who were they really?

Andre wasn’t foolish.

When he had chased out earlier, he already suspected he had been deliberately drawn here.

To rise to the position of Grand Marshal of the Red Dragon Kingdom, he was certainly proficient in scheming.

He understood that he had been used to confront the Chosen One of Moon God Arachne.

But he still went after them.

One reason was to wait for the “big fish” to bite; with the Moon God appearing, there was no reason to let it go.

Another was that he didn’t see any threats from the one who set the trap.

As planned, he caught them red-handed upon return.

But the fact that he hadn’t killed them yet made things quite intriguing.

Although Andre still didn’t feel much threat from the four before him, he was more curious about what they had to say.

….

Seeing Andre’s suspicious expression, Leonard knew that the Marshal was unaware of the origins of the [JOKER] Curse God Card.

It made sense; the Holy Church wouldn’t publicize that he had killed the Heavenly Dragon Saint.

But Leonard had no intention of explaining further, instead he straightforwardly said: “I need the remaining items from the secret chanical research you conducted. Like those chanical blueprints…”

“Blueprints?”

Andre was suddenly enlightened; so that was their objective.

He confird further that they weren’t from the Orlan Royal Court.

Otherwise, they wouldn’t risk so much for so blueprints.

Andre didn’t respond, instead he asked: “Are you people from the East Wilderness Alliance Army?”

“…”

The three remained silent.

However, the Old Fox keenly caught onto sothing, sneering: “Oh. So you are with the Rebel Dragon Army.”

“…”

The trio still remained silent.

Being guessed was expected, but it didn’t matter.

After all, only a few factions would be interested in these devices and blueprints.

The Rebel Dragon Army had been struggling on the Southern Continent, but that was because the Three Great Kingdoms were significantly powerful.

On the Old Continent, however, the Rebel Dragon Army was a force that no major lord could afford to overlook.

Leonard wasn’t going to give the opponent a chance to counter, stating: “Marshal, keeping those blueprints now serves no purpose for you. To us, they are not irreplaceable either…”

“…”

Andre uncharacteristically paused for a mont.

Just as Leonard suspected, if he had fears, he felt the Rebel Dragon Army posed a greater threat than the Orlan Royal Court of the East Wilderness.

Having not been extinguished for so many years on the Southern Continent, their strength and legacy were considerable.

If the people before him were indeed from the Rebel Dragon Army, killing them would certainly provoke retaliation.

Andre was personally familiar with the thods of the Rebel Dragon Army Leader “The Fader” Griffith.

To kill them would invite vengeance.

Furthermore, it was not wise to provoke them now.

Previously, the Rebel Dragon Army was the target of the entire Southern Continent, so encountering them ant no rcy.

But now on the Old Continent, the Iris Legion aid to establish their own territory; provoking such trouble was unwise.

As for those chanical blueprints…

They could have been a strategic bait before.

But now with Sinless City destroyed, holding onto them would only incriminate him, causing endless troubles.

Even if he genuinely had intentions regarding those blueprints, until the war between the two Dragon Gods of the Southern Continent concluded, chanical technology remained a “taboo.”

Hoarding them would arouse the suspicion of the Dragon Gods.

Moreover, chanical technology wasn’t sothing produced with just blueprints.

The technological level of the Southern Continent was nearly zero; there weren’t even people who could interpret the blueprints, let alone factories and experienced chanics.

Keeping these blueprints would be useless for a long ti, nothing but a pile of waste paper.
