Chapter 1460: Chapter 448: Leonard Churchill’s Valiant Shout, Protect the Young Master! Chapter 1460: Chapter 448: Leonard Churchill’s Valiant Shout, Protect the Young Master! Leonard Churchill had heard from Catherine Carter that relics of the Great Emperor had erged on the Southern Continent.

Because the information initially ca from the Adventurers’ Guild, he had assud it was probably the result of false rumors.

After all, throughout history, nurous ancient relics with so semblance to those of the Great Emperor had been hyped up by rchants with ulterior motives; they could make quite the headline.

Or they could be so kind of imitation with similar functions.

But true Lingster Emperor relics had almost never appeared among the public. Even if they had, it was more likely within the Augustus Imperial Tomb, not elsewhere.

However, when Leonard previously gathered information in Thunder Dragon City, he found that the matter seed to be true.

The relics that had appeared were the deck of fifty-two “Curse God Cards” once belonging to Emperor Lanlingster.

It was said that a “Black Spade 4” had appeared in the catalog of items at the Rainbow Consortium Auction House, but before it could be officially auctioned off, it mysteriously disappeared from the list.

It seed a high-ranking noble had pulled so strings to acquire it in private beforehand.

Or it was another elaborate ruse by the consortium.

Yet, seeing the Dark Gold card flickering with lightning that Young Master Sack was holding in the palm of his hand, Leonard instantly realized that this might actually be a genuine Emperor’s Relic.

Otherwise, the fellow wouldn’t have survived this long under the assault of two Second Tier assassins.

“Crackle”, “crackle,” “crackle”…

Lightning flickered and crackled.

Leonard and his five companions had surrounded and killed a First Order assassin tasked with clearance and vigilance when, on the other side, the battle had not ceased.

Young Master Sack, surrounded by four guards in purple battle armor and retreating while fighting.

The other guards had already beco corpses, and these remaining four were clearly the elite of the elite.

All four were preparatory Knights, not yet having made the advancent. That they were still alive was entirely thanks to the Dragon Cavalry Heavy Armor they wore, which had clearly been specially modified.

It was fortunate that Dragon Descendants naturally had incredible strength; otherwise, Card Disciples in such Heavy Armor wouldn’t even be able to move, let alone fight.

Every step they took left deep footprints in the ground.

The thick armor blocked the fatal stabs from the assassins’ daggers, which allowed them not to be killed instantly. But being alive was one thing; the cumberso gear also made it hard for them to provide tily reinforcents to Sack.

The young master’s survival was all thanks to his own abilities.

At this mont, Sack had transford into a half-dragon, half-human form, his skin overlaid with a layer of pale purple dragon scales, his body flickering with lightning.

In his hand, the previously quiet card now displayed a Hexagram Magic Array, inscribed with “thunder,” “movent,” and “evasion” Curses.

Whenever the card was activated, Sack would turn into a bolt of lightning, reappearing dozens of ters away.

He relied on this mysterious and flexible movent technique to hold on under the coordinated attack of the two assassins.

This nearly instantaneous movent ability was sothing not even the high Agility of the assassins could contend with.

It was when Leonard and his companions had killed the First Order assassin that Sack had consecutively vanished in flashes of lightning twice more, narrowly avoiding lethal strikes.

It was this act that confird to Leonard that the Dark Gold card was a Supre treasure.

He couldn’t help but ponder, “A solidified ‘Thunder Shadow Instant,’ huh? Legends say low-level card masters rarely achieve instant spatial movent with Curse Magic, even rarer than Divine Skills. The Landon Family’s heritage is indeed extraordinary… tsk tsk, the assassins probably never anticipated that the proud scion of the Landon Family would choose to inscribe an escape spell rather than offensive tactics…”

Indeed, it was not in line with Sack’s ostentatious and arrogant nature.

He thought that perhaps this Spell had been inscribed by one of the young master’s elders.

However rare the “Thunder Shadow Instant” Spell was, it was, after all, only a low-level Curse.

What Leonard was more interested in was the ridiculous “Infinite Curse Magic” effect of the dark card!

Normal Curse Cards were one-ti-use.

By pre-inscribing Curses on special carriers, they could unleash the Curse Power in a short ti upon activation.

The inscribed Spell and the card itself were like the gunpowder and the bullet of a cartridge.

Once fired, the structure would be completely destroyed.

Yet the Dark Gold card in front of him showed no signs of disintegration.

Young Master Sack was using that card to repeatedly perform “Thunder Shadow Instant” as if the pistol had an unlimited bullet magazine.

This function was exactly like the “Curse God Cards” of the Great Emperor Lanling that legends spoke of!

Legends said that the set of fifty-two magical Curse Cards could be inscribed with any Curse, even Divine Skills.

For a card to instantly release a Spell, not only did the Curses need to be inscribed, but “energy storage” was also necessary.

The amount of energy a card’s carrier could withstand was limited, which was one of the most important indicators to distinguish the tiers of Curse Cards.

To carry Divine-level Spells ant the inherent energy storage of these “Curse God Cards” had extrely high limits.

Limits so high that Leonard could not even begin to imagine.

And legend had it that the Spells of the Great Emperor Lanling’s cards were permanent; as long as they weren’t actively replaced, they would exist indefinitely.

In theory, as long as there was enough energy stored in the card, those Spells could be used infinitely.

“Thunder Shadow Instant” was, after all, a re First Order Curse, consuming energy at the unit level, perhaps one in a billionth of a Divine Skill’s consumption.

In other words, it was as if a hydroelectric power station were used to power a single light bulb.

The material of the card determined it wouldn’t fall apart, and with abundant energy…

Theoretically, the First Order Curse in that Dark Gold card could be used infinitely.

Of course, that was the theory.

It was also lucky that Young Master Sack was a Thunder Dragonkin; if it were a regular human using such a Spell so frequently, they would have been burnt to a crisp by now.
