A hint of thoughtfulness appeared between her brows as she finally spoke, “Leonard, you should rest well at the base these next few days. As for other matters… I’ll handle them.”
Leonard, knowing full well what she ant, simply smiled and responded, “You’re not worried I misjudged the situation?”
He never doubted Catherine’s abilities.
She had boldly ventured alone into the Flood Gang’s casino in Sinless City upon her first arrival, despite being a noble Elder Miss. Though she faced a setback from Sophia Jones, the dignity and spirit she exhibited, no less than any man’s, left a deep impression on Leonard.
Now as the Supre Commander of the Allied Forces, Catherine’s wit and tactics were worlds apart from before.

She would never tell anyone else, but she hid nothing from Leonard.
Upon hearing this, Leonard guessed that Catherine likely had sources within the higher echelons of those families as well.
The tactics behind those in power were never as pure as they appeared.

Leonard had seen both, so nothing surprised him.
Catherine never tried to pretend otherwise in front of him.
After a pause, she continued, “These guys really stick to the ‘old tradition’ of warlords from the ti in the Federal Governnt. Leonard gave a faint smile.

However, he then turned the conversation to business, “Hmm… as for Logan, I’ll handle it myself.”

Upon hearing this, Catherine also showed a surprised expression, knowing full well that Logan was a genuine Seventh Rank!
