Carlotta had no idea what had happened at the academy gate.

After returning to her dorm, she devoted herself to studying magic textbooks to build a solid foundation. Only by doing so could she learn more spells from Estelle.

She felt that her strength was still too weak. If she wasn't just a first-tier apprentice, she wouldn't have had to avoid today's incident so cautiously. She didn't even know the identity of the enemy and had to rely on tomorrow's intelligence.

"Even card magic can beco a powerful combat tool as long as my transcendent level is high enough," Carlotta firmly believed. When it ca to learning magic, she was much more diligent than any other first-year student.

After reading for a while, she ditated, and after ditating for a while, she read again. This cycle repeated until the night deepened.

...

The next day, as soon as Carlotta woke up, she heard the chirping of birds outside the window.

She propped herself up and realized she had fallen asleep on the desk. She rubbed her aching head.

"System," Carlotta checked today's intelligence as usual.

[ 1: Alia Fenwick's favorite food is peanut butter chimney rolls.]

[ 2: Bram Vortiger, Ulric Branswode, Garran Holtvik... These people have discovered Carlotta White's whereabouts. Because Carlotta once reported their boss, Theomar Laskerne, their plan to flee to the Sun Moon Federation was ruined, so they hold a grudge against her and are considering revenge.]

When she saw the second piece of intelligence, Carlotta's spirits lifted. It was exactly what she needed. The daily intelligence never disappointed her.

The intelligence provided was always closely related to her, especially the more important matters, which were more likely to appear in the reports.

After reading the second piece of intelligence, Carlotta finally understood why she was being targeted. It was related to the fugitive she had reported back then!

Carlotta, who had lost her family, was almost reduced to begging on the streets before entering Caerwyn Academy.

The only way she could earn money was by reporting the fugitives ntioned in the intelligence. Although it might bring so trouble, she had no choice at the ti.

The trouble had indeed co. The fugitive had accomplices, and they had discovered her.

"Caerwyn Academy, known as the fifth academy of the capital, isn't a place anyone can enter. As long as I don't leave the academy, I'm safe. As for these guys..." Carlotta pondered how to deal with them.

Should she continue reporting them? But what would be the reason? These guys might not all be fugitives.

Carlotta thought for a mont and decided to check the other intelligence first.

[ 3: Sorene Carlisle, took a prisoner from the prison for an experint to verify the master-slave spell found in an ancient magic book. The prisoner's soul couldn't withstand the enslavent of the spell and died on the spot.]

Carlotta gasped in shock. Sorene was really delving into that master-slave spell?

She hadn't forgotten about this person, who even wanted to turn her into a servant.

Though it was just Sorene's imagination, it still made her feel that this person was extrely dangerous.

A prisoner had died because of this. Even though it was a prisoner, it was enough to show that Sorene, as a noble's daughter, could do lawless things.

[ 4: The cultivation thod for the Elven Knight Manual is as follows:...]

The fourth piece of intelligence contained a lot of information, surprising Carlotta.

She hadn't expected today's intelligence to be about the cultivation thod for the Elven Knight Manual. Why not provide a cultivation thod for card magic instead?

She had already condensed the runes corresponding to card magic.

Even if they taught her the correct Elven Knight Manual cultivation thod, she wouldn't learn much.

Though she thought so, with the Elven Knight Manual's cultivation thod presented before her, Carlotta didn't avoid it and began to read carefully.

As she read, she couldn't help but take out her Rose Thorn and started waving it in her dorm.

Cultivation was a very self-forgetful activity, especially when the process was smooth, it always imrsed one in it, making ti fly unnoticed.

After an unknown amount of ti, Carlotta felt her magical power surge and woke up from her cultivation.

"What? I've beco a second-tier apprentice?"

Feeling the significantly stronger magical power within her, Carlotta was very surprised. How could she have broken through while cultivating the Elven Knight Manual?

She quickly sat down and ditated, her expression changing continuously because sothing extraordinary had happened inside her.

Within her body, two runes floated up and down, wrapped in magical power.

One was the rune representing card magic.

The other was the rune representing the Elven Knight Manual!

Why had two runes appeared in her body?

Carlotta was extrely shocked. Since entering Caerwyn Academy, all the teachings had made her understand that each person could only condense one rune, aning they could only focus on one type of magic or knight technique.

Each person had only one soul, but this common knowledge had failed to apply to her.

Was it because she was a transmigrator?

That was the only reason Carlotta could think of.
