They ended up ordering in for dinner because they spent forever in the bathroom, Lake falling asleep almost imdiately after.

They had eaten dinner in Lake’s room because there was no way the Oga could make it to the kitchen, and Davian had to feed and cajole him to get him to eat because he was already nodding off.

As Davian cleaned up after dinner, he caught himself thinking about how much he liked this... fucking Lake until the Oga was too worn out to take care of himself.

Lake was larger than life despite his diminutive size, and the Oga effortlessly did everything with ease. Bringing him dinner in bed and spoon-feeding him made Davian’s heart double in size because normally, he wouldn’t have needed to.

After doing the dishes in a daze, he hurried back to Lake’s side, breathing in deep when Lake imdiately sought him out even in sleep.

He hugged the soft Oga close, breathing in his llow scent that had turned sweeter with the life growing inside of him.

Davian felt so much at that mont that his heart ached, sleep welcoming him with open arms...

Davian was the first to wake up the next morning, shooting upright with a disoriented expression.

Lake woke up in a calr manner, still clinging to Davian’s nightshirt, his hair a bird’s nest.

The bright sunlight kept them both confused for a few seconds more, both of them slowly turning to each other as the realization slowly sank in.

They had overslept!

Lake was the first one out of bed at that, panicking at the thought of being late to his best friend’s wedding, only to crumple to the ground.

That sent Davian rocketing out of bed to his side, "Lake! Are you alright?"

Lake bit back a curse, it was really difficult not to regret all they had gotten up to last night. "I’m fine. I just don’t want to be late for Caspian’s wedding..."

Lake honestly couldn’t say how they did it but they managed to clean up and get dressed in record ti, and now they were driving to the venue of the wedding.

He tried not to wince despite the fact that sitting on his sore bottom wasn’t fun because Davian was laser-focused on him even though the Alpha was driving.

He didn’t want Davian to get it in his head that he had hurt him, because he hadn’t. The Alpha was just too big and they had gone too hard last night so it would take so ti for him to recover.

Fortunately, they managed to be on ti, and as long as nothing crazy happened like hippos falling out of the sky, they would be fine.

Caspian craned his neck around, they had just gotten to the court premises but he was already looking for Lake.

It was just him, Asher, and Jael at the mont, but they were expecting two other guests.

The outfit he had picked out with Lake’s help had turned out stunning, the pearls in his hair making him look otherworldly.

But the crease in Caspian’s brows marred his startling beauty, sharp blue eyes constantly searching.

Asher slipped an arm around his mate and pulled him close, holding back the urge to kiss those red-tinted lips. "Lake will be here soon."

Really, his mate was all up in knots about it, it was almost like the pregnant Oga was the groom.

Asher had even let himself be forced into a tux, and Jael’s dress shirt was all buttoned up and neatly tucked, not a rolled sleeve in sight.

They were ushered to a waiting room before the proceedings would begin and in a few minutes after they sat down, there was a knock on the door.

Caspian half rose to his feet in eagerness, certain that it was his best friend. The truth was that he was so nervous it felt like he was going to throw up, he needed Lake for comfort.

The person who stepped through wasn’t Lake though, Nikolai’s seamless mask hid the faint hints of nervousness in his dark blue eyes.

Caspian was sufficiently stunned enough to montarily forget that he was nervous about his wedding. Nikolai... Nikolai was here.

"Shit," Asher cursed beside him, "Forgot I invited him."

That caught Caspian and Jael’s attention. "You invited him," The Beta repeated, unsurprised but still disappointed.

"Didn’t think he would show." Asher muttered.

Caspian rose to his feet then because Nikolai had closed the distance, "Thanks for coming." He said carefully.

"Congratulations." Nikolai cleared his throat to say, pulling out a neatly wrapped gift from behind him.

Caspian’s eyes sparkled at that, he reached out to take it without a second thought. "Thank y-"

His gratitude was interrupted by Asher putting himself in front of him, Jael standing off to the side looking really tense.

"What’s in the box?" Asher asked darkly.

Nikolai was caught off guard for a mont but he quickly shuttered the expression, taking out a pen knife to cut into the sparkly wrapping of the gift he brought.

"A bomb." He said harmlessly, even as he opened the box to reveal two mugs that said ’Mr and Mrs’.

Caspian just rolled his eyes, he had panicked for nothing. "Put the gun away, Jael," He half scolded, stepping out from behind Asher to take the already opened gift. "The both of you as well," He tagged on to his mate and Mafia King Nikolai.

He wasn’t surprised they had all brought guns to the wedding, he knew who he was getting married to, but he would rather they didn’t wave it at each other for no reason.

Caspian sighed out in relief when the mont passed without a scuffle, pleased about the wedding gift. He hadn’t gotten any when he was getting married to Noah, and he didn’t know if the Alpha had gotten, if he had, he hadn’t bothered to inform Caspian.

So the gift from Nikolai was a really nice sentint. Asher could easily afford anything he wanted but the silly printed mugs the Mafia King had gotten them really ant a lot to him.

The door opened again to reveal Lake with Davian by his side, and just like that the guest list was complete.

The wedding was about to begin...
