Tokiomi Tohsaka sat in a comfortable armchair, listening to the sounds of Noble Phantasms crashing against the earth outside.

"A good start. Sacrificing Hassan will deter those who dare to spy on the Tohsaka..."

The elegant figure who had executed Hassan stood beside Tokiomi. She radiated an aura of power, like the sun dispelling the darkness, her golden hair cascading down her back, her face a mask of regal beauty and haughty indifference.

Her crimson eyes, bright and piercing, glowed with an otherworldly light.

"You disturb with such trivial matters, Tokiomi."

Tokiomi rose from his chair and bowed deeply.

"My apologies, King of Kings."

Despite being Tokiomi's Servant, she commanded his utmost respect. Tokiomi, a firm believer in the importance of bloodline and noble heritage, recognized the ancient lineage of Gilgash, one of the oldest and most powerful kings in history.

(Angelica Ainsworth Appearance!)

He had been surprised, however, to summon a female Gilgash. But then, rembering that Uruk, Gilgash's kingdom, had existed over a thousand years after the end of matriarchal societies, he'd understood. In that era, won held positions of power. A female Gilgash wasn't so unusual.

"Tonight's display will prevent further disturbances. Those mongrels—will think twice before challenging you again, Your Majesty."

Gilgash nodded, a subtle sign of approval.

"Let those beasts fight amongst themselves. We will observe, and then choose our prey, Your Majesty. Until then, I suggest patience."

"Very well. I shall entertain myself with a stroll. This era is quite intriguing." Gilgash snapped her fingers, her armor dissolving, replaced by a simple white shirt and shorts. The buttons of her shirt strained against her ample bosom, several popping open.

Tokiomi's eye twitched. While Gilgash's power was unmatched, her insatiable curiosity and tendency to act on impulse were a constant source of anxiety.

If she caused any incidents, he, as her Master and a prominent figure in Fuyuki City, would be the one to deal with the consequences. And with the other Masters preparing for the Holy Grail War, if they discovered her identity.

He'd be targeted imdiately. Gilgash was simply too powerful a prize.

"Enjoy yourself, Your Majesty," he said, bowing his head.

"Oh, and Tokiomi, wipe that lipstick off your face," Gilgash added with a smirk.

Tokiomi froze, his hand instinctively going to his cheek.

"Hahaha! I never thought I'd find soone so devoted to their desires in this era. And it seems—your love is divinely blessed. Those wretches occasionally do sothing amusing."

Gilgash laughed, her voice filled with amusent. She was, overall, quite pleased with her Master. He was sufficiently subservient, his manners impeccable, and his dedication to his desires—was admirable. Though he carried the unpleasant mark of a god's "blessing," it was a minor flaw.

This era—it was unexpectedly entertaining. She'd never witnessed such devotion between n in her ti, back in the ancient, savage days when won were scarce.

A playful smile touched her lips as she dissolved into motes of light, eager to explore this filthy world, to see what other amusents it held.

"Well, then..." Tokiomi sighed, the pressure of Gilgash's presence finally lifting.

Her gaze, the look she'd given him, the look she gave Kariya it had been like needles piercing his skin.

He had seven days to endure this. He hoped the Holy Grail War would proceed smoothly, allowing him to finally reach the Root—the source of all things.

But Gilgash had said—his love for Kariya was divinely blessed? How interesting...

...

"The Assassin has been eliminated." Maiya Hisau's voice was flat, emotionless, as she handed Kiritsugu a cassette tape.

As Kiritsugu's assistant, she was tasked with monitoring the other Masters' activities, using familiars for surveillance. She'd been the first to notice the—incident at the Tohsaka mansion.

Kiritsugu inserted the tape into a player, watching it three tis, his brow furrowing. "Sothing's not right."

"It was too easy. And Kirei Kotomine—he requested sanctuary at the Church imdiately after the Assassin's death," Maiya added.

"Keep an eye on Kotomine. I have a feeling he's going to be my greatest adversary," Kiritsugu said, his voice grim, as he exhaled a plu of smoke, his gaze fixed on the file in his hand—Kirei Kotomine's profile.

What was this—empty, desperate man thinking?

...

"Rider, aren't you even a little concerned? A Servant's been killed. The war has begun!"

Waver Velvet looked at Rider, who was engrossed in a docuntary about fighter jets, his face a mask of exasperation.

"Hahaha! Don't worry, my boy. And look at this F-20! Magnificent! What if we got—ten of these?" Rider's booming voice filled the room as he slapped Waver on the back, his laughter shaking the very foundations of the small, two-story house.

Waver winced, his shoulder throbbing from the impact. He wanted to yell, to complain, but looking at Rider's arm, thicker than his entire torso—he swallowed his words.

Better to just—endure it.

"Did you see it, boy? The Servant who killed the Assassin?" Rider asked, his eyes still glued to the screen.

"No. I just saw a flash of gold, and then—the Assassin was gone," Waver replied ekly.

Thwack!

"Ow! Ow!" Waver clutched his forehead, tears welling up in his eyes.

"You want to be concerned, but you didn't even see what happened? Observe! Then report!" Rider chuckled, blowing on the finger he'd just flicked at Waver's forehead.

"I.. did see sothing! A lot of—Noble Phantasms. He summoned a whole bunch of them," Waver protested, his voice thick with tears.

"Well, whatever. We'll learn more when we et this—Servant..." Rider turned back to the television.

Then, he paused, his hand clenching into a fist, his expression turning serious. "Be prepared, boy. This war it's going to be different."

"Right!" Waver nodded vigorously.

'Crack!' His neck snapped from the force of his nod.

"Ow! My neck!" he cried, tears streaming down his face.

"Hahaha! A man shouldn't cry over such trivial matters! You need to toughen up, boy!" Rider laughed.

...

In a dark alley in Fuyuki City's new district, a spatial rift opened.

Four figures erged.
