Just as Asia fainted after Liala spoke to her, the ground suddenly shook violently for no apparent reason, and the tremors grew increasingly intense.

"----!"

Rias and Akeno were startled. Sensing an aura from afar, they stood up abruptly.

"Sona's magical fluctuations... She's fighting soone."

Koneko and Kiba imdiately stood up as well. The previous earthquake was nothing new to them, being in Japan, so they hadn't paid it much mind.

they didn't possess the superior sensory abilities of High-Class devils. Only after hearing Rias's words did they realize that another High-Class Devil from Kuoh Academy, Sona Sitri, was engaged in battle with an unknown individual.

Thinking about the fight, everyone exchanged glances and said in unison, "Kokabiel!"

The only one who had recently entered Kuoh Town and was capable of battling a High-Class devil that they knew of was that Fallen Angel Cadre.

Realizing this, they hurriedly rushed out of the classroom, unfolded their devil wings, and flew swiftly toward the direction from which the battle fluctuations were coming.

Haru remained seated on the sofa, quietly recovering his magical energy. Liala, who was holding the unconscious Asia, stayed still without Haru's permission, allowing the others to leave the classroom.

"Everyone! Return to your classrooms!"

"Don't run around in the corridors!"

"Stay calm! Go back to your classrooms!"

In the school building of Kuoh Academy, a group of teachers relied on their usual authority and disaster-handling experience to calm the students, who were panicking due to the "earthquake." They orderly arranged for the students to take shelter.

Although the earthquake continued, the chaotic situation gradually stabilized.

Rias flew high above the school, watching the academic buildings of Kuoh Academy. Her gaze focused on the classroom that served as the Student Council room.

The exterior of the classroom looked as if it had been ravaged by a fire. Not only were there shattered glass and broken pieces of equipnt everywhere, but the surrounding walls were also stained with charred marks.

"Sona!"

Rias flapped her devil wings and was the first to rush into the classroom from the air. Imdiately, she saw a scene of charred bodies lying all over the floor of the Student Council room.

These people were all mbers of the Student Council.

Just as the Occult Research Club was composed of Rias's servants, the Student Council mbers were all Sona's servants.

In other words, the people lying all over the floor were all devils.

Akeno followed Rias into the classroom. Being proficient in magic control, she imdiately sensed traces of light power in the air.

Akeno's face darkened, and she said to Rias and the vigilant Koneko and Kiba, who were hovering in mid-air, "It's the power of light. This must be Kokabiel's doing!"

Rias anxiously turned over the unconscious people on the ground, constantly searching for Sona's figure.

Akeno quickly held Rias back and said calmly, "Stay composed, Rias. Right now, the most important thing is to heal them, awaken them, and ask about Sona's whereabouts!"

Rias snapped back to her senses and hurriedly said, "Heal them? Asia! Where's Asia?"

Koneko quickly looked around for Asia and then said softly, "She doesn't seem to have co along, and Haru-senpai isn't here either!"

"At a critical mont, Stupid Haru!!" Rias gritted her teeth and cursed angrily.

Crack!

A fist landed on Rias's head, and then space was suddenly torn open.

Through the spatial rift, everyone saw Haru still lying on the sofa. Seeing his lightly raised right hand, they naturally understood where the big bump on Rias's head had co from.

Haru glared at Rias with dead-fish eyes and said coldly, "I can hear you, you know. It's not a good habit to badmouth people behind their backs. Let's try a new position tonight."

Ignoring Rias's blushing face and Akeno's teasing gaze, Haru gently patted Liala's cheek and said softly, "Please heal them."

Liala's pupils shimred with golden light. The vital energy of the earth gathered around the devils, and in the blink of an eye, the injuries of those lying on the ground vanished without a trace.

"Ugh..." At that mont, a girl on the ground groaned in pain and slowly opened her eyes.

Rias noticed her, squatted down, and held her up, repeatedly asking, "Tsubaki! Tsubaki! Wake up! Where did Sona go?"

Haru looked at Rias with an expression as if looking at an idiot and said with exasperation, "Where are your eyes? Look at the wall!"

Everyone turned their heads in unison toward the undamaged wall of the Student Council room.

On one of the walls of the Student Council office, there was a freshly written line of words in blood.

"I've taken Sona Sitri. If you want her back, co to the abandoned church in the suburbs!"

Without a doubt, this was an invitation—or it could be called a challenge.

The other party hadn't even considered hiding their actions.

Staring at the line of bloody words on the wall and sensing the magical energy of Sona emanating from the blood, Rias trembled all over. Her delicate face turned extrely grim, and a pitch-black magical energy surged around her.

"Kokabiel..."

The sky outside the window began to darken, shrouded by layers of pitch-black clouds.

Like the calm before the storm.

In the suburbs of the town, there was an abandoned church.

Around the church were dense trees.

Due to this terrain, almost no one from the town would co here to pray.

Over ti, the church was closed down.

Such abandoned churches were often favored by fallen angels.

As forr angels, many fallen angels bore deep resentnt toward the God they once served after their fall.

Therefore, seeing a dilapidated church that was under God's domain but now in ruins was undoubtedly the most favored dwelling place for fallen angels.

Rias, Akeno, and Koneko arrived here fully ard.

As soon as they saw the abandoned church in the center of the forest, three ten-ter-high crosses ca into view. Hanging on them were three battered figures mimicking the crucifixion of Jesus.

Their faces changed drastically, and they exclaid in shock.

"Xenovia! Irina!"

"The Church's Holy Sword wielders have failed..."

Rias looked at Sona's figure on the central cross. Her beautiful face turned to one side, filled with raging anger. She shouted toward the surroundings.

"Co out, Kokabiel!"

As soon as she finished speaking, a mocking voice rang out.

"Don't be so hasty, sister of Sirzechs. This is like a welcoming gift—I won't kill them outright."

Accompanying these words was an extrely terrifying pressure. Their bodies stiffened instantly, unable to move.

They struggled to lift their heads and looked above the crosses.

A man with ten wings on his back, a pale face, and blood-red eyes—resembling a vampire more than a fallen angel—sat on a throne above the crosses, overlooking them. In a puzzled tone, he asked:

"Where's Sirzechs? Where's Serafall? And that guy Michael?"

"Without those three? Just you weakling? What can you do to ?"
