Uche started seeing the usual distinct vision, a bit familiar to what he had seen yesterday.

The sa hand was flipping through the empty pages of a book before stopping in the middle — also empty. The hand brought a pencil down and started writing sothing on the page.

*Love the little ga?*

*I'm sure you're cuffed by now.*

The words were written with several smirking sketches at the end.

Uche's body trembled, rage boiling within him.

'That bastard — he set up.'

He scread in his head, his whole body shaking.

"Stay still or we'll gun you down,"

Sergeant Kim shouted again, now a hint of hesitation laced in his tone. He could see a few of the so-called elite squad who were close to Uche move back, so he wondered why they were moving back.

Inspector Ray, who was directly in front of him, knew why as he also took a couple of steps back, barely noticeable though.

'What's going on?'

Inspector Ray could directly see Uche's face; now it was far different from the face of the man they had brought out earlier. Although nothing had changed about his face, his expression had completely altered — now fueled with anger, rage making him look like a monster, almost as if he could kill everyone present in an instant.

Uche himself, still boiling with rage over the dangerous ga the bastard was playing with him, didn't realize the effect his anger was having on the officers. The hand moved again, writing another word.

*Well, I know it won't be fun if the cops just take you away like that. I an, I won't have the chance to take the rest of your immortal body, so it won't be fun.*

*But guess what — I sent people after you.*

The vision faded just as it had co.

"That bastard — I'll kill you!"

Uche scread, his body shaking.

His sudden scream made the tensed cops react in an instant. Sounds of guns going off resounded in the area as several bullets pierced his leg, bringing him down. More than a dozen cops had shot him, not once or twice. Countless bullets left their rifles, all directed at him. Uche scread in pain as his leg gave in, bringing him down to his knees.

"Stop!!!"

Sergeant Kim commanded, making everyone stop the assault.

"Strap him into the van — let's move."

He said, having a feeling that sothing was wrong, or would soon be wrong; he didn't even know which one it was.

"I knew he was scheming sothing, that bastard,"

Inspector Ray said as he slowly approached Uche, his gun not moving away from him. He was among the few dozen who had shot him and he wondered why the bastard hadn't collapsed by now. No normal human being would be able to withstand such an assault, even though it had all been directed at his leg.

'Well, the bastard is not a normal human — he's completely psycho.'

Only a psycho would kill people for fun and materialize their corpses like statues for the public to see.

Several officers moved toward him; so of them had their guns pointed at him in case he tried anything, while a few approached him cautiously. As the n approached, Uche slowly rose to his feet, steady. His battered leg twisted in a strange way as it healed, bloody tendrils wrapping around the wound, knitting it together. In an instant, everything healed and Uche stood as if nothing had happened.

The officers approaching him stumbled, fear gripping their hearts. Even Inspector Ray dropped his gun and reeled back in fear, cold sweat rolling down his forehead.

"Monster, monster — the bastard is a monster, not a human,"

He muttered under his breath, hiding himself behind one of the vans.

Sergeant Kim and a few other officers still had their guns pointed at him; a few of them trembled, the guns shaking as if they might drop.

'What type of monster is this?'

Sergeant Kim thought, his expression grim.

"Stay still, or else we'll shoot you until your body turns into a jagged rag."

Uche slowly turned to look at him, his expression motionless, making Sergeant Kim shiver under his gaze.

"Really? Wanna try it out?"

Uche said, a chilling smile crossing his face.

'She told not to reveal what I am to them, but since they already found out, I can't let them take away,'

He thought, and since none of them had ntioned Connect yet, he guessed they didn't really know about him.

"Fire!!!"

Sergeant Kim shouted, and in an instant the area was filled with the sound of rifles going off, almost like the outbreak of a war.

Seeing everyone start firing at him, Uche charged toward the officer who was closest to him. The man's hand trembled as he saw Uche running toward him, but he never stopped shooting. Uche purposely raised his cuffed hand, making the trembling man shoot it and break it in the process. Several bullets had struck Uche's body by that ti, making him fall imdiately. But, having achieved his goal, he rolled left and picked up a rifle one of the officers had dropped.

He started shooting blindly and wildly as he rolled toward one of the parked vans. Everyone quickly took cover as they tried to avoid the mindless assault. Finally hiding at the back of a van, Uche let out a long sigh.

"I never expected this to happen, but I had no choice,"

He sighed, then picked up another rifle that lay in front of him, adjusting the two well in his arms. Uche rose to his feet, left the cover of the van and slowly walked into the center, shooting blindly.

"Arghhh!"

Uche shouted as he continued shooting relentlessly.

"That bastard has gone mad — everyone take guard!"

Sergeant Kim shouted as many officers fell in an instant. He could see Inspector Ray visibly shaking from where he was hiding.

'That bastard coward,'

He thought.

"This is useless — everything is useless,"

A senior officer from headquarters said, holding his chest that continued bleeding profusely.

"He'll continue healing if we keep firing; we're just wasting our bullets here,"

The dying man said.

"There must be a limit to his healing — he can't continue healing forever, so let's keep shooting until he can't heal again,"

Sergeant Kim insisted.

"We can't even land a shot; he's not giving us any chance,"

The man complained.

"Where are the snipers?"

Sergeant Kim asked, his eyes darting around the area. Then he saw the trembling Inspector Ray walk up to a sniper beside him, forcefully remove a grenade that rested on his chest, and hurl it toward Uche.

"No — you'll kill him! We need him alive!" Sergeant Kim shouted, but it was already too late, because just as the grenade went off, the mindless assault stopped imdiately.
