Kenneth Yates rushed to Sumr Lancaster’s side. "Sumr, are you okay?"
"How could I be okay! Why were you so late?" Sumr Lancaster wailed, burying her face in his chest.
"I’m sorry, I’m sorry..." Kenneth Yates held her, apologizing over and over. He had promised to always protect her, but look at what happened. ’Is being with really the most dangerous place for her?’
"Co on, let’s go ho." Kenneth Yates picked Sumr Lancaster up and placed her in the passenger seat of his car.
Kenneth Yates drove with one hand, his other tightly holding Sumr Lancaster’s. Her hand was ice-cold, completely devoid of warmth. "It’s okay now, it’s okay," Kenneth Yates murmured, trying to comfort her. His eyes were filled with terror—the fear that sothing might happen to her, that she might leave him.
Sumr Lancaster looked over at him. His expression was incredibly tense, and the hand he was driving with wouldn’t stop shaking. "When... when did you get back?"
Kenneth Yates looked at her, a smile finally breaking through his tension. "Just now."
Sumr Lancaster suddenly felt a pang of guilt and lowered her head. ’He just got back. He must be exhausted, and I made him worry so much!’
"Do you know who sent those people?" Kenneth Yates asked Sumr Lancaster carefully. ’Judging by how unprofessional they were, they couldn’t have been Noel Lynch’s n. So who was it? If it really had been Noel, it probably wouldn’t have mattered how early I got here.’ At the thought of Noel Lynch, Kenneth Yates couldn’t help but tighten his grip on Sumr Lancaster’s hand.
"Kenneth, your hand! It hurts!" Sumr Lancaster cried out, pulling her own hand away.
"Sorry!" Kenneth Yates put the hand that had been holding hers back on the steering wheel.
"You don’t have to apologize. It’s not your fault. Oh, wait... where’s that report?" Sumr Lancaster said, rummaging through her pockets.
"What report?" Kenneth Yates asked.
"I went to the hospital for a check-up today and saw Audrey Adler and Yvonne. Yvonne had an abortion, and she did it behind her father’s back."
Kenneth Yates said nothing, but a cold, ruthless expression crossed his face.

Sumr Lancaster wasn’t hurt, but Kenneth Yates insisted on carrying her upstairs. Sumr couldn’t win the argunt, so she gave in. Fortunately, it was very late, and there was hardly anyone around the complex.
Her face flushed, Sumr Lancaster snuggled into Kenneth Yates’s arms. She could feel his heart pounding, hear his ragged breaths. She quietly tilted her head up to look at his face. It was the sa devastatingly handso face as always, but now, it gave her an imnse sense of security.
"Did I get even more handso? Is that why you can’t take your eyes off ?" His voice ca from above her, and Sumr Lancaster, flustered, quickly lowered her head. ’How did he know I was staring at him?’
"No way! Stop being so narcissistic!" Sumr Lancaster pouted in protest, though her actual thought was, ’He really is *so* handso!!’ Hearing her words, Kenneth Yates just laughed.
Once they were in the elevator, Sumr Lancaster was about to ask him to put her down, but before she could even speak, Kenneth Yates’s fiery kiss descended on her, overwhelming and absolute.
He was like a starving infant, desperate to draw more and more from her. Sumr Lancaster tried to resist at first, but he gave her no chance to fight back. Kissing her lips wasn’t enough; he pried them apart to taste the sweetness within.
The kiss left Sumr Lancaster dizzy, her senses slipping away. Her eyes grew hazy and alluring. Her body went completely limp, and she could only hang from his neck, her arms wrapped tightly around him.
Unable to control his desire, Kenneth Yates lifted Sumr Lancaster’s dress, his hand brazenly sliding underneath.
As if suddenly jolted awake, Sumr Lancaster grabbed his hand. "Kenneth Yates, we’re in public!"
